If you were disappointed as to how the ending played out for Fena, you most definitely should check out Akayona, not only does it shows how Yona's grown throughout the season, it also develops the side characters much better than Fena. To be brief, if you liked the idea of Fena as a damsel in distress growing out of it and affecting people around her, check out Yona.

Both shows are similar in genres and share the theme of bearing a beautifully portrayed bittersweet story involving a girl, her destiny, and finding cherished companions. The art/animation in the shows are visually similar as well with the brightly highlighted scenery and character designs. They are also paced at similar pacings focusing more on plot devolment rather than dragging smaller details and having filler content.

Similarities: - left alone in a new world, both try to find ways to reach their goals. - seemingly different characters band together to help the MC. - bright popping visuals Differences: - perspectives of the MC are quite different, one tries to reach home whereas Fena tries to find the meaning to her dad's parting message. - Appare is set in a racing world whereas Fena is a pirate story. - Fena is a goofball, Appare is deadpan

If you liked Kaizoku Oujo (Fena), you should see One Piece. Both are about pirates more or less and both develop the idea of "the power of friendship". In both animes we can also see crews that help the main character to reach his goal.

At first we don't know what the setting of the story and what the goal of the main casts are but as we watch, we start to learn about the world and character in it.

Both anime portray a good friendship between the different characters. Both have an adventure storyline. Both draw inspiration from stories. Both Aladdin and Fena have to discover who they are.

Both are beautifully colored and animated cleanly. The somber and melancholy aura that Fena sometimes gives off reminds me a lot of VE. The two MCs have polar opposite personalities but are both strong women who are striving to become better people. The love interests in both animes have a feeling of unattainability, even when Fena's love interest is right in front of her. While Fena is trying to reach a mystical place, Violet searches to find the meaning of something that she herself does not understand. The difference in the plot doesn't hide the fact that the true meaning  read more

To start off both of these shows are extremely similar because they follow the story of a princess setting off on adventure with assassin bodyguards to retrieve/find something for their father. Chaika and Fena, the two main characters, are similar both personality and look-wise as they stand out with their unusual white hair and they both can be pretty ditzy. Both of the girls are strong-willed but need protected a lot since they're not the ruthless fighting types. The biggest difference between the two shows is that Chaika The Coffin Princess focuses a lot on Magic while Fena The Pirate Princess has more of a  read more

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Fena: Pirate Princess are adventure series centered on a quest to pursue a legend. The lead female characters are damsel in distress, but Liliha (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) has the inner strength and courage to pursue her conviction despite her moment of helplessness. Fena, on the other hand, is easily swept from one conflict into another without controlling her own fate. Both series have their problems, but they do have positive aspects and can satisfy anyone who likes an adventure.

An adventure series is best illustrated with a quest where plot progression requires travel. Each episode advances the plotline as characters discover truths and reach their destinations. Many anime series are classified as adventure despite not delivering on this basic definition. The Mysterious Cities of Gold and Fena: Pirate Princess are pure adventure series. With its longer episode count, the Mysterious Cities of Gold is a better anime with its better characters, comedy and plot development. On the other hand, Fena: Pirate Princess features action scenes, and comedic romance. Your overall enjoyment of both series will also depend on your reactions to their final mysteries  read more

Castle in the Sky and Fena: Pirate Princess are adventure anime that follow similar story beats. Sheeta and Fena are damsel in distress who are rescued by their capable romantic interest because they are being pursued by shady government agents. Sheeta and Fena are connected to fabled location that everyone wants to reach. Sheeta is a better than character than Fena because she finds her courage stops being a damsel through her adventure. Fena: Pirate Princess also has script issues, which may disappoint people.

Both feature a strong main female character and adventures on sea guided by a mysterious stone. They also have a large cast of colorful characters and high production value.

Both series have a female protagonist with a similar personality, set in a medieval era atmosphere. A lot of the story focuses on the relationship between the heroine and her love interest whom she travels with and is protected by. Similar romance style, but Kaizoku Oujo is more Mystery/Action focused.

From the first episode it reminded me of Kaizoku a little. Maybe the character design and that it started with the paladin saving a girl/ warrior saving Fena etc

The plot twist is kinda similar to the Lost Song series. It's absolutely nice plot to watch. The vibes of the plot remind me of this series. And the "tabi" or the adventure with the knights is similar to Akatsuki no Yona. You might feel the abstract thing in this Kaizoku Oujo, but if you understand the plot what they told, you not gonna confuse and understand the meaning😊👍

Father of female main character dies, leaving behind one or two hints and whatever the mc remembers that will help lead them to treasure. The group goes on an adventure and encounters adversary which essentially becomes a race to who reaches their destination.

Last Exile and Fena: Pirate Princess follows the adventures of the main characters who undertake a quest to reach a location while fending off pursuit and discovering truths about the world. Fena: Pirate Princess has only one main character who is the damsel in distress, which means the narrative is structured around her character journey. It is a personal story that has difficulty delivering on its initial excitement. Last Exile has four main characters, including a damsel in distress, so the narrative is a more complex story as each character has their own journey. It is very much an epic story given the stakes  read more
