Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time 2nd Season

Normally I am not a fan of these chibi shorts that anime sometimes do. They usually involve comedy I don't find funny but are short enough to be inoffensive. this usually leads me to score them at around a 5.

The shorts this time around, however, are the opposite of what I expected sure they do have comedic elements but they also use them to flesh out characters from the episode the viewer has just watched and they pair really well with them.

I found myself looking forward to them after the episode rather than just putting up with them as I do with most ... of the time.

They are definitely worth a watch alongside season 2 if you are watching it for the first time or are rewatching. I'm not sure I would go as far as to rewatch all of season 2 for them though

Aaah, Re:ZERO... what a series I had been missing out on! After having watched the first season in less than 2 weeks, I immediately continued on with the second one and boy, was I satisfied! The second season of this work of art is (almost) as amazing as the first. Now knowing all the possibilities of this new world presented to us, we are shown much more character development outside of Subaru himself. I have to say that it's a shame season 2 ends on such an abrupt note, but I suppose every nice thing has an end. I was disappointed that Rem never returned ... from the state she was put in, but again, the future seasons will probably resolve that issue! I do think season 1 was more enjoyable and it certainly was more of a rollercoaster of emotions, but season 2 really teaches us who our main cast is and why they're involved in this story. Overall I recommend this series to anyone that can handle seeing their favorite characters die... multiple times... Re:ZERO was amazing, and I'm looking forward to season 3 already :)

It wouldn't be a re:Zero season without one of these I guess, or should I say, it wouldn't be a popular TV series without one of these, period.

Seasonal fatigue is a real thing, and for completionists, it's even more so a curse in the form of a challenge.

“Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time 2nd Season” is as its predecessor promised, Chibified commentary over the events of the corresponding season, although, this one spans both parts of season 2, so be careful about spoilers. The first 13 episodes revolve around re:Zero seasons 2 part 1, so it's better you watch it after that and even more critical ... to stop at the 13th episode.

The 12 last episodes are mainly commenting on part 2 of season 2, some of them even unexpectedly explain critical plot points that were either left vague or undisclosed in the main season which I found as a weird and questionable direction call.
I won't be missing this one in all honesty, don't look up to anything spectacular. Govern your expectations and buckle in.
