the plot kinda takes a similar route, but i found the animation in Shakunetsu no Takkyyu Musume to be a lot more involved especially for "action" scenes

Both have the same theme, namely winning championships in sports.
 The good thing about these two Anime is that they teach about Chasing dreams with pleasure, Not just strength.  As the story goes, You will understand it.  Fight on !.

The animes are about an MC that gets interested in a sport they have no clue about and decided to give it a try, learning techniques from friends they learn that they have a natural talent for this sport. Throughout the show, they join competitions and everybody gets surprised by how good they are for being a newbie.

Both animes aren't the most similar in genres, i guess, since one is centered on rock climbing and one is on quiz bowl, but the two anime have a similar vibe/feel to it.

The main characters are similar in a way - they're both the intelligent type
> Iwa Kakeru! - Konomi used to be a gamer who has great analytical skills
> Nana Maru - Koshiyama (MC) is a bookworm who is good at trivia (he's intelligent (in a sense))

Both sports animes with similar characters except Iwa Kakeru is about rock climbing and has a majorly female character cast, both are very good!

-Has one awkward girl whose the main factor in the series.

Dissimilarities:

- Awkward girl is the one who forms the club.
-Anime's genre is music and shoujo.

Iwa Kakeru

- Club already existed and all it needs is one more and that's were ackward girl comes in.

-Anime/manga's genre is sports and slice of life.

-Involves more member.

-Story plot where the school's baseball club was facing disbandment, when a group of 1st years decides to revive it.

-Character focuses mostly on 2 specific members.
