Hametsu no Mars

Two anime from Idea Factory. I don't know about the quality of their video games but the anime they make are pretty bad. The story, animation, and development are quite similar. Although there is not much to tell, for me, Mars is way better then Tenkuu! 

Well, "If you liked..." is not the right term for this. Anyway, these two anime have the same studio and length. Both also have a stupid plot twist as a finale. Most important, if you're a fan of bad anime, these two are probably the worst ones, so you cannot miss either. Mars is way worst though, so don't expect the same level for Skelter Heaven. 

Both are the worst OVAs on MAL. They both have a useless character that makes you laugh even harder. They have boring stories that will make you say, "What the heck is this?" Also, both are from the same creators, Idea Factory. 

The similarities are endless between these two! They're the two worst anime ever. They both come from Idea Factory and have somewhat of a sci-fi genre. 

Two of the worst OVAs out there. The only reason to watch either is just to laugh at how bad they are. Both are made by the same company, Idea Factory, and lower budgets than middle school film projects. Neither is even the length of a normal anime episode, and they have plots that attempt to be very psychological but fail incredibly. Stereotypical, pointless characters and bad animation with mediocre soundtracks (MoD's isn't even new it's just common classical music). Both try way too hard to be similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Both failed and have now become two of the lowest rated shows on MAL. 

Both of these two are perfectly horrible. I want to give some credits to the producer "Idea Factory" for making such masterpieces. I'm totally touched by their effort that I can't stop crying. If you want to be entertained, watch both of them without any hesitation. Fun is guaranteed.  

Both are porrly made OVA about saving earth from aliens. Both made by the same studio and both have one of the lowest score on MAL. 

Both of these are absolutely terrible. If you consider yourself a masochist, try and sit through these two sorry excuses for anime back to back. 

It's by the same director and it is just as horrible. If you like either of these you will definitely like the other. 

Both are one of the worst things ever created and they are laughably bad. Both have horrible art because their movements are horrible and both have pratically no story. They do stuff but in neither of these they have a reason to do what they're doing. But both of these anime are enjoyable because they're so bad so take your seat and enjoy.  

They have the following in common: - Both are OVAs of the same length (both in terms of time per episode, and number of episodes) - Both are about saving the Earth from aliens (and both obviously steal a lot of their content from Evangelion) - Both are from the same studio, Idea Factory (and both are directed by Yoshiteru Satou) - Both have extremely confusing plots - Both are very bad - although Skelter + Heaven is better (although not by much) - Both have animation that is, at best, sub-par, and at worse, horrible 

Same director, both ranked as the most below average grade of Mal. We have here the best director ever, you should watch these, you will feel different about all other anime you watched before. 

Both of these OVAs are produced from the same studio, Idea Factory. Both of these anime OVAs are an absolute abomination. Actually, abomination doesn't even begin to describe these two hell-spawn shows. They are so horrible to the point that watching both of them feels like looking at the bottom of a deep abyss and seeing nothing but darkness for all eternity. Watching these two OVAs will make you laugh uncontrollably until you start coughing out blood. Please I beg of you, unless you are a masochist or you hate yourself, please stay away from these two OVAs. Trust me, I'm doing you a huge favor here. Both are masterpieces that you definitely need to watch.  

Great characters, great story and sound. If you like Hametsu no Mars you will like Skelter Heaven even more... 

These 2 define the so horrible they are a masterpiece. They both have in common the element that they need to be seen to be believed as well as "fantastic" story 

Made by the same company and just as laughably awful as it to. If you want to see some of the low points of anime, this right here is for you my fellow anime watchers 

If you're watching either of these, you're clearly looking for some terrible anime, and these shows are both impressively bad (two of the lowest rated on MAL). Both are quick watches with impressively low budgets and a complete lack of quality, and are only worth seeking out for a few laughs (ideally with friends). 

Two of the worst anime in existence. You'll probably not have a blast watching these two OVA's because they are notorious for being masterpieces of trash. I can't say much about the characters or the plot in either series because there is nothing worth mentioning about them whatsoever. 

Bottom-of-the-barrel examples of how *not* to make media. Nonexistent plot and character development, blatant plagiarism of other works, and some of the worst animation ever seen. The unintended hilarity this creates will leave viewers laughing for all the wrong reasons. 

These are the bottom of the barrel regarding quality and hilarious to make fun of with your friends. Both are some of the worst of their genres and will likely leave you questioning how they were approved by anybody. 

If you like hilariously bad anime, then both of these will likely satisfy you! Made by the same studio, and both among the 3 lowest-rated anime on MAL, these two anime OVAs are remarkably similar to each other. I especially recommend Skelter+Heaven which made me almost die of laughter, but Mars of Destruction is also a really good watch. 

Really bad OVAs directed by the same gut, with a bad plot, bad visuals, bad cg, nonexistent characterization and a lot of edginess.  

Hilariously awful. So bad it's good. I would say MoD is better than TDSH but both are extremely low-quality OVAs based on a game with the same names. Do what you must with the two. You are in for something quite new if you don't scavenge around these failures. Both brought to you by the same producer king, Idea Factory. And even the same kino director, Yoshiteru Satou.

The "genius" mind who created Mars of Destruction come back again with another "great" series Skether+Heaven this show has everything you don't need in an anime Bad CGI absolute garbage story and the wasting of the precious 19 minutes of your life so if you see it go ahead. 

I'm pretty sure both of them are made by the same people. They are both equally as apalling with unappealing plots and horrid animation. If you love watching bad low budget abominations like Tenkuu Danzai Skelter+Heaven, you will enjoy Hametsu No Mars 

Tenkuu Danzai Skelter+Heaven and Mars of Destruction are both embarrassingly stupid and low budgeted Both anime have females as protagonist (Main characters) and they both have to fight mecha enemy's from a different planet to save earth from danger Low budget + Low animation + hard to follow story line + animation errors = lowest rated anime 

It's worth watching Mars of Destruction just to see how many times they steal from NGE in 19 minutes. 

I kept on thinking about Neon Genesis Evangelion while I was watching MoD - mainly because I kept on wanting to stop watching MoD and watch Evangelion instead. MoD does attempt to be dark and edgy like NGE, and the main characters of both series are both forced to pilot a weapon (a battle suit in the case of MoD, and an EVA in the case of NGE) by their father (who is portrayed in a...negative light - in NGE, Gendo abandoned Shinji as a child; in MoD, Takeru's father is supposedly sexually abusive). Also, both series have the main protagonist battle aliens. Basically, MoD feels like an NGE rip-off. NGE is awesome, but MoD is absolute garbage. However, if you liked NGE and you want something to laugh at, feel free to see if MoD scratches the itch you have. read more 

Mars of Destruction is almost an exact replica of NGE. Whiny protagonist basically forced by his dad to operate his creation? Check. Mostly female cast excluding Not-Shinji and his father? Check. Unfitting usage of classical compositions? Check. But this goes beyond just similar trope usage and goes straight for plagiarizing character designs and dialogue. Great for NGE fans who want a good laugh 

There are good Neon Genesis Evangelion rip-offs. There are decent NGE rip-offs, there are bad NGE rip-offs and then there is Mars of Destruction. Do you like NGE? Well, say no more fam! Watch Mars of Destruction and you'll see exactly the same show summed in 19 minutes in a beyond terrible way. MoD is like the child NGE abandoned, just like Gendo Ikari abandoned his son. See??? So much alike... Oh, and both anime will mindf*ck you. But one of them does that in a really wrong way. You can probably pinpoint which one I refer to. 

Imagine. The plagiarism here is so crazy, but it still somehow managed to fall off so hard that it is now a paradox in space. Despite being a copy of the other, Hametsu is literally just garbage that only exists to give people a good laugh. I suppose NGE isn't for all, but we have to admit the are some qualities NGE excels at. 

Both talk about mysterious Biomechanical mysterious creatures Both About A Boy who are wearing a mecha suit against thier own will because of their Fathers order Both Are a Modern Classical and inspired a lot of Anime Series and Films  

Mars of Destruction is pretty much a bootleg version of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Watch it to find out how crappy it is and see how often it steals from NGE. 

If you are looking for god awful adaptations then Ex-Arm and Mars of the Destruction are for you. Surprisingly, both have a similar story with a boy taken upon a new life, against their will, full of danger around every corner with them. Visuals are equally as appalling as one another too. Maybe you just want to torment yourself, but these are two anime you won't forget regardless of how you exit these anime.

Both are anime of infamously low quality, with hideous animation and nonsensical stories, which actually share many aspects such as having a boy be forced against his will and gets his life filled with danger in violent situations. They're so abysmal, in fact, they have gained a reputation as being premiere "so bad it's good" titles, so if you're ready for some pain that can probably get ironic laughs out of you, these two are for you. 

If you want to endure yourself in god-awful animation and having a feeling to end yourself watching a show give it a shot I guess. 

Both have random gore and exploding heads that look absolutely terrible. 

Elfen Lied literally feels like Mars of Destruction in terms of unintentionally comical violence, lolis dying, and the subject of shock utterly failing to connect its viewer to the material. If you enjoyed Elfen Lied and want something so bad it’s good but in a condensed, quick viewing then watch Mars of Destruction. If you enjoyed or couldn’t get into Mars of Destruction and want something with more material and arguably more interesting then consider Elfen Lied. Either way I cannot help but think these shows are the same. 

People's heads get blown off. Elfen Lied is noticeably much better at animating this compared to the generally disliked Mars of Destruction. In fact, Elfen Lied is better in every concept. Both anime also have a 'beta' male MC. 

Both are short and violent anime from the 21st century and have a very small soundtrack. They are also both in MAL's bottom 100. 

Both, with intricate aesthetics and unexpected cruelty, spaning through exploding heads and gruesome teddy bears, rise profound ontological questions about human nature. 

If you like anime that's so bad it becomes really entertaining, then Mars of Destruction and Pupa are for you! Both of them are also pretty short, make no sense, and can provide quite a laugh to deranged souls like me. 

Both take a concept that sounds interesting, and butcher it in every way possible. Both are a visual disgrace to animation in general, utilizing some of the worst looking designs for the environments, objects, and characters to date. Both like to act like they are deep, but they really have no depth. This is primarily reflected in various bits of dialogue that have no flow and do nothing significant. Both use rape for 'edginess'. Both like to use Piano pieces to try and seem classy, however, they fail for different reasons. Mars of Destruction uses classic pieces like Moonlight Sonata and Ride of the Valkyries at relatively unfitting moments, while Naru Taru ends up merely giving shallow uninspired piano notes. Both have characters that are flat as a brick with no real depth. And I can't recommend either to anyone. But on the up side, Mars of Destruction is only 20 minutes long. Both are examples of "so bad, it's good" anime, and found both of them to be hilarious in their own ways. Whether it is animation, sound or plot, they are not to be taken seriously. Not one bit. Their essential difference is that Hametsu's comedy is totally unintentional, whereas Inferno Cop is meant to be such. 

Both OVA have unexpected gore, a cast full of girls that you don't have time to learn much about, and a plot that melts your brain. Both can be watched in a "so bad it's good" sense. 

Two OVA's which both compete for the title of best worst anime or all time. The plots: nonsensical and hard to follow. The animation: laughable. Comedy gold all around!
