Slouchy OVA, there is no improvement whatsoever from the original anime, I'd even go further and say it was downgraded, even the fan-service was poorly delivered - and here I'll throw my 2 cents, but since the game was "censored" with water guns, a wet t-shirt version of this OVA "uncensored" will probably be a distant dream, let's hope I'm wrong.
After watching this I had to check the PS4Pro game and, mates, the intro of the game puts this OVA and the original anime in the shade, I'm talking Violet Evergarden or Makoto Shinkai's standard, it is that good, so couldn't they put an extra
effort on the OVA too? Also, it seems like the game has new characters, couldn't they use the OVA to introduce them, I'm sure it would bring more people's attention to both the game and the OVA, than that poorly fan-service that was delivered.
Overall, we get some cute interactions like the anime, so it isn't that bad, but that isn't enough to support the great failure this OVA was, totally uncalled for.
I thought this was pretty good. It wasn't what I expected out of an OVA, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who expected more boobs from the OVA than from the rest of the series combined. But, I still found it funny and enjoyable. In fact, I would recommend watching this even if you don't want to watch TV series, because its plot isn't that relevant to the series', and it's more enjoyable.
The OVA did a good job at giving all the main characters, including the rivals, a chance to interact with each other casually. I liked the casual side of the series,
and it meant I could relax while watching it. The yuri was pretty nice, and the humour I found good. I think it was a pretty good OVA.
Well, that was at least better than the actual series. If I am totally honest, I think that one OVA was better than the entire series for definite.
I would like to say hopefully this is the last of the series we will see.
They make a PV/Advert for the sport. First one done by the posh girls sucks, next one is just an idol PV from Hell's Kitchen. Which is better because they are at least in proportion to a person who can live and also are very cute. The last and main one that takes up the majority
of the OVA is a compilation of various fan services.
In the end, it goes to the board and its a bit ecchi so it is rejected and puppets are used.
The art is the same of course.
Sound is as before.
No actual development during this apart from Misa being a bit cuter and open.
If you enjoyed the series even a little bit then it is worth a watch. It is better than the main series but hopefully the nail in the coffin. They seemed to try pack in extra plot lines into this OVA which made it a bit dense.
Kandagawa Jet Girls OVA plot centers around Kaguya employing the rest of the Jet Girls to make a PV that the Jet Association won't refuse, what we get is a fanservicey hijinks with the cast.
For the most part, this OVA does give alot of screentime to the main cast and their hijnks and their typical traits and results of some of their attempts at a PV, though in saying that, besides Kaguya, only Hell's Kitchen and Yuzu and Manatsu are the only ones to actually make a PV, the rest just get thrown into the fanservice.
And man the fanservice is EXACTLY what you expect
BEFORE it shows up sometimes, while the fanservice has no nudity, it's more or less the implied fanservice with the cast, you know wet T-shirts, swimsuits and what have you....is the fanservice so take that like you will.
Production value is the same typical quality from TNK and even from TNK and even for an OVA....they still somehow derp at times. As for the voice cast, well at least the voice cast are back soooo LA won't say much about this, well maybe besides Azusa Tadokoro playing around with Kaguya's character in this OVA.
All in all...it's a Kandagawa Jet Girls OVA...what DID you expect?.
As for LA...it's was...alright, nothing more, nothing less.
