Both are about a gangster's relationship with another boy and the ways in which they help each other.  

Both are romances with healthy, supportive relationships where the characters lift each other up and discover more about themselves. Their relationships naturally develop into strong bonds overtime. Both have the characters healing from trauma and finding their own paths in life. Given has challenges with homophobia in society, while Antidote addresses mental illness. Both anime deal with these topics in a supportive, positive way. Antidote's relationship is ambiguous due to Chinese censorship.  

mystery + shounen ai both are great shows 

Both shows are about the "friendship" between two dudes who never cross that very thin line, except for the fact that the source material for both does everything but say that they're gay. In both shows, the presumed seme is someone who has a dark past, and ofc the presumed uke is the one who helps him get over his issues. 

Both are about the friendship between a gang leader and a more ordinary person and involve the gangster protecting his friend who gets dragged into the trouble of a more violent world. The "ordinary" person in both are actually formidable and manly (no wimpy ukes here). The relationships are cute and feel good with some good fights thrown in.
