Rail Romanesque

The year is 1989. After the nation of Hinomoto was destabilized during the past World War, the rise of new technologies has enabled its revitalization. Modern engineering has given birth to aircraft, gasoline engines, and geomagnetic technology—revolutionizing transportation. Railroads have been rendered nearly obsolete and replaced by more efficient modes of transit.

However, a group of lively "Raillords" aims to renew the railroads' former glory. The Raillords, personified as energetic and spirited girls, act as humanoid control modules for their assigned railways. They meet in Ohitoyo City for the Raillord Summit, headed by Suzushiro, a Raillord from Manoka Railways. Together, the group capitalizes on its teamwork to get the railroads back on track, ushering in a "new railroad age."

Ohh Yes Japan At It again Making waifus Out of something That will Sound literally hilarious to, Guess what the culprit this time is No need to go far thinking its in the name of the anime itself they are trains. The characters as depicted in the anime does not seem very old(what we call legal-loli smh) But these are Very experienced girls Who work in The rail field or what we say related to trains. As we know this is a short anime so the content explored is little so don't go expecting a plot In this anime. This anime depicts A rail ... summit Conducted in-order to Increase the sales Regarding the Area of each raillord(the main characters are called this cause they are girls which are trains).We have a great moderator who handles the summit she is extremely charming and cute Not to mention she handles them well and handles her puns really well. And finally What happens in these short placed episodes is Interaction of other raillords to create a Sales method to increase sales in their area. They are divided into teams of two( total 8 members so 4 teams).This anime somehow concludes after their Cute discussions and finally some good ending scenes depicted elegantly. This anime dont have an opening song just an okayish ending theme .Anyway that concludes it it was a good watch Depending on how you see and its full of trains wheeee

Mixed Feelings

“I like trains”
Got bad grades? I like trains!
Awkward date? I like trains!
(you know the music and the song!)

Trains! Without trains, we would all have big problems. There are so many kinds of them, and we use it every day. So why not make an anime with cute girls being Raillords ("humanoid control modules") for different kind of trains? The idea behind it is certainly good, but unfortunately it was not implemented ideally.

STORY:
The general setting takes place in Hinomoto, where our main character Suzushiro and her stepsister Hibiki set out to search for Hachiroku's lost locomotive. She unintentionally awakened the Raillord Hachiroku and with this action ... becoming her owner. Now they are on a journey looking for her locomotive. That's basically the whole story...such a locomotive doesn't usually go missing on its own but where could it be? They travel around and meet other Raillords, together they come up with some business merch ideas for different occasions. The structure of each episode is similar and the plot isn’t that much.

CHRACTERS:
Due to the short duration of each episode, there is not much to say about the characters. Everyone has a different personality, our main character Suzushiro is known for her eloquence and adaptability. She is a calm girl. Anyway, they are all quite friendly and nice to each another. We also see from time to time how much they love and cuddle each other. Real trains “cuddling” would be inconvenient and problematic, but this kind of “locomotive cuddling” is noice to see!

ART:
The girls are shown cute, even if you can directly tell there are places that could be improved regarding the animation. The locomotive and trains are shown very well.

SOUND:
After each episode we get to hear an ending song. It's not a song that makes you hooked for days. The music and melody sound happy and everyone have fun together while the song is being played. That's the most important thing!

ENJOYMENT:
Although I was less interested in the facts about trains and locomotives, I found this series amusing. Our "train girls" are just too cute.
For a short series in between, this anime is suitable for everyone if you are a fan of the CGDCT genre. For people who are dieing for different types of locomotives and trains, this is almost a MUST watch. You cannot find such a combination somewhere else.

A second season for this was announced ahead of the ending of the first season already (after episode 11). There are certain series where we urgently need a second season, but our train journey will continue.

Finally, there is at least one more reason to say:

"I LIKE TRAINS"

Another anime that uses girls with reference to some form of transport ... Have you ever thought how much locomotives can be a good attraction in your travels? Not? Well, I present you Rail Romanesque, the anime that will show you that learning more about railway lines can be cool.

Rail Romanesque, or Maitetsu, is a short anime that doesn't have a need to watch episodes in the correct order. It features 9 characters, known as "Railloads" and which has the function of looking for a solution so that there are more tourists in its facilities. The anime itself follows this proposal until the end, where ... basic things of our day to day are used as tools to increase the popularity of the railroads. In addition, some pairs were created, so that they could think and work together during their walks in the city where they were.

I have to say that Maitetsu's idea is already quite repeated in anime with little screen time, since the staff needs to speed up or lengthen some story so that it still remains interesting. I think they preferred the second option. Instead of proposing quicker suggestions that would allow us to see something new, they chose to use half an episode to develop a character proposal and the other half to see what some other group would see. The show ended up making mistakes due to this factor and made it an authentic and proper proposal, in another of the anime that committed the terrible structural error, which aroused disinterest in those who watched. The very beginning of my review is doubtful because of this.

In addition, we realized that the show wanted to put a large amount of text in a very short space of time. The clearest example of this is when character house posters are shown throughout the episodes, with additional information, in addition to references to the real world and the personality of each one. For those who are interested, it is cool to pause the anime and read a little of what is written, but I see that it makes the same mistake as some standard isekais. Like? Well, this way of inserting long texts is common in animes that prefer to approach the concepts of their world and care more about the adventures themselves. And isekais use this type of narrative a lot to persuade and get the public's attention, although it doesn't work in most cases.

However, the show is not a complete waste of time. He really has his cool side and manages to create fun and interesting gadgets to be seen. How delightful it would be to see a new city in the style of the 18th century. Even I wanted to go on a train in my country. It is a pity that in Brazil this is not so accessible ... In addition to giving us a brief desire to learn about other ways of life, some cultures from certain places in Japan and China are presented, which made me happy with the show. I did not imagine the wide variety of locomotives in both countries, especially in the highly technological world in which we live.

Overall, Rail Romanesque is not a bad anime, but it is also not as good as I expected. He previously transmits the elements he wants and manages to interest us, even for a few seconds. He is weak compared to the longest anime and will one day be forgotten by most. I must say that I will not forget Rail Romanesque anytime soon. It was a new and unique experience for me, so no matter how you rate this type of show, give the anime a try and enjoy another different and innovative type of show.
