When regular salaryman Yoshida wakes up one Sunday morning after a long night at the bar, the last thing he expects to see is that his tiny apartment has a new resident—an unfamiliar high school girl.

The previous night, despite finally gathering the courage to confess to his boss and longtime crush, Airi Gotou, Yoshida was rejected. After drowning his sorrows at a bar with his good friend Hashimoto, Yoshida headed back to his home in a drunken stupor, only to run into Sayu Ogiwara, a runaway high schooler. She asked him to let her stay the night, and with his judgment clouded by alcohol, Yoshida complied.

Now, with his head on straight but with no memory of last night's events, Yoshida has Sayu explain just how she ended up sleeping at his apartment. Having listened to her story, Yoshida finds himself unable to kick her out—especially after learning that she came all the way from Hokkaido! So, despite his reservations about sheltering an underage girl, Yoshida allows her to stay, and their life together begins.

Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway... This anime is seriously one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen - it's like a masterclass in friendship and relationships.

I mean, Yoshida? He's like the ultimate dude. I'd have lost my cool like five times over if I were in his shoes, but he just keeps on trucking, always looking out for Sayu. And Sayu herself? She's like the most precious thing ever! I just wanted to give her a big ol' hug and protect her from the world.

What really got me was how the series tackled some heavy stuff ... - like abandonment, rejection, and finding your place - but did it in a way that was so gentle and uplifting. It's like the anime equivalent of a warm cup of tea on a bad day.

And the character development? Yoshida and Sayu's relationship is like a slow-burning fire - it's like watching a flower bloom in real time. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen next.

I'm seriously hoping for an OVA or season 2, because I need closure! Do they end up together? Do they stay friends? I need answers!

I don't know how to describe it.
Strange about a girl who sells herself to stay, where she may be, where there may be something my parents remember, that there is no or no longer remember this. But I'm surprised why she didn't go to blockade or something that would help her, she had to sell her body for sleeping or whatever, that she is limited for a few days for which she cannot and maybe he wanted to (I think) want to sleep with her. I will say this anime so strangely, and I will not recommend it to anyone with average plot and ... characters.And sorry for the spoilers, but otherwise it could not be described because there is nothing to write about ...
