Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (2020)

The beggining of Dragon Ball and Dragon quest: Adventure of Dai are very similar and have very similar vibe coming from both shows. I Already Recommended Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Quest, but every "OG" Dragon Ball fan will understand why you should watch first Dragon Ball and Why Dragon Quest is more similar to first Dragon Ball than with " Z " OG Dragon Ball, z, Gt, Super Fans should watch and give chance to Dragon Quest . This remake is HYPE! 

Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest. They are very similar to each other for so many reasons first of all, original designs for dragon quest is made by Akira Toriyama, not story tho. when i first saw Dai I tought it was in some manga by akira toriyama. Dai and Goku are very similar characters too, both kind, little stupid, both were sended from somewhere and were found by old man who took care of. Raised in wild with animals and etc... Many actions, super powers, transformations and amazing adventure! I want to recommend Dragon Quest to all of Dragon Ball franchise fans... If you love Dragon Ball, You will also get to love Dragon Quest: Dai No Bouken too! Hope This Remake will be full adaptation of original Dragon Quest Dai no bouken manga! If this series will be ongoing and it'll have 100+ series then All I can say is that this adaptation is going to be perfect! this series is amazing. These two are great for starting 9-12 year olds in shounen anime that have a more linear history and good life lessons.

Both are adaptations from Shounen Jump manga, both are remakes of anime from the 90’s, both have an emphasis on fantasy adventure and training, both have similar protagonist a young boy with great potential leaving his home to go on a grand adventure become stronger and protect the people important in their lives, they travel with companions that are unique and interesting both in combat and as people, both have interesting, unique and intricate villains with different motives, ambitions and desires, both take place in a creative fantastical detailed world, both have an emphasis on world building and lore  

Both series are great for viewers looking for a colorful, old school-style adventure anime with sword-fighting, sorcery, monsters, and fun characters. 

Both are modern re-adaptations of early 90s adventure shounen manga. They might seem dated by today's standards, but were exciting and original upon release and are a great way to get a classic anime experience with a more modern coast of paint. 

Both are action anime and both have main character that have a goal that needs to be achieved by becoming something, in Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken the main character wants to become a hero and in Shaman King the mc wants to be a Shaman King
