Synopsis

Senkuu has made it his goal to bring back two million years of human achievement and revive the entirety of those turned to statues. However, one man stands in his way: Tsukasa Shishiou, who believes that only the fittest of those petrified should be revived.

As the snow melts and spring approaches, Senkuu and his allies in Ishigami Village finish the preparations for their attack on the Tsukasa Empire. With a reinvented cell phone model now at their disposal, the Kingdom of Science is ready to launch its newest scheme to recruit the sizable numbers of Tsukasa's army to their side. However, it is a race against time; for every day the Kingdom of Science spends perfecting their inventions, the empire rapidly grows in number.

Reuniting with old friends and gaining new allies, Senkuu and the Kingdom of Science must stop Tsukasa's forces in order to fulfill their goal of restoring humanity and all its creations. With the two sides each in pursuit of their ideal world, the Stone Wars have now begun!

The visual aspect of Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is truly impressive, enhanced by an excellent starting point. While I haven't read the manga yet, a bit of googling reveals that Boichi's drawings are simply wonderful – incredibly detailed with expressive and vivid faces.

However, the real strength of this series lies in the incredible effectiveness with which the boundless love for science of the charismatic protagonist, Senku, is conveyed. Using science, Senku aims to awaken all those who have been petrified and bring technological levels back to pre-cataclysm times. On the other hand, Tsukasa sees science as a threat, especially considering the disasters caused by rulers ... and the scarcity of resources. Their points of view seem hopelessly opposed, leading Senku to entrust the precious cave producing the miracle remedy for petrification to his opponent. The war's objective is to definitively conquer the cave and the precious liquid.

As Senku himself says, where resources are not enough to feed 7 billion people, then those 7 billion people will find a way to create more resources. This is how science works. The message is incredibly profound, highlighting the vital importance of using intellect in a world united under the single banner of science for the common good, progress, better living conditions, and maintaining a healthy balance with the natural environment.

Senku's epic journey has already shown the wonders that can be achieved with science. Every object, from the smallest to the largest, is created with immense effort, and the manufacturing process is illustrated in a simple way, complete with explanatory drawings for each step. The terminology is appropriately correct, to the point that it's explicitly advised not to try Senku's experiments at home!

Despite the 11 episodes seeming few, they manage to concentrate on the key elements of the story well. Like the first season, this second season also maintains a narrative rhythm balanced between scientific moments and adrenaline-filled scenes, including chases, small clashes, and an engaging final battle.

In Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, you witness not only Senku's new creations but also appreciate the growth of other characters, each contributing to the development of the Kingdom of Science. Science, logic, intellect, and cunning become fundamental in a war where physical strength cannot be relied upon. Senku's ability to create wonders will keep your eyes glued to the screen.

In conclusion:

Whether you are passionate about science or not, it doesn't matter. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars satisfies in every aspect – visually pleasing, narratively touching, dynamically fluid, and scientifically correct. It is a unique and original anime that deserves all the attention for the great work done and for the message it conveys. It's a work that will appeal to anyone passionate about science and, in my opinion, could even be used in schools!

Mixed Feelings

So.... this got worse.

In season one protagonist-kun woke up in a world that was thrown back to the stone age and had to use SCIENCE to everything.

Fine, whatever. I can suspend my disbelief. The whole point of a show is to be entertaining and season 1, for all it's flaws, did that.

Season two however missed the mark.

Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. while in season one the "inventions" where somewhat of a reach you could still just shrug them off as eeeeeeeh maybe it's possible. Not in this season though, it's just too much to swallow. What's worse is that most of the time ...

I must say this anime is not bad. But I'm little bit disapointed... I can't say that the anime is boring but it's only entertaining. I really like the first season and the second seemed to be good as well. So I'll say what's wrong with this anime.

It keeps repeating in many alternation 2 things:
1) Science is the best and deal with it!
2) Killing people and dying people is unacceptable!

Those two messages are not correct. It's too optimistic and science can't do anything. I must also say that there that this anime is quite original as UTOPIA. There is no way that someone could die ...
