Gonna cut this show some slack first. Because while it's not my cup of tea, I'm sure if I watched more of these kinds, I'd understand it more, and while I'm not in Japan either, the comedy of this just...Feels so flat, I haven't laughed once at all. Wouldn't say it's bad, but it's pretty meh honestly. Let me explain a bit about it.

Comedy is subjective.

What does stand-up comedy mean? According to Britannica: It is comedy that generally is delivered by a solo performer speaking directly to the audience in some semblance of a spontaneous manner.

However, this business practice is very different in Japan. Owarai geinin, or two-man comedians as they are referred to, is a very lucrative business, and by no doubt very popular in its own homeland. Holy crap there was not one single episode I could have cared about even in the slightest. Slice of Life anime aren't my favourite genre, not by a good longshot, but I'm willing to give any one of them a chance and a good watch-through, but that wasn't even the problem. This was supposed to be an anime that revolved around drama/performance art and comedy, and there was...no...comedy. Nothing was funny, every scene was bland and fell pancake-flat. I practically hated every episode. Definitely never going for a second watch, and I'm glad the pain lasted only twelve episodes...that's probably about 12 episodes too many, ...
