Set during what is the beginning of a world war, the protagonists of those are powerhouse of military/fighting strenght with a curious set of morals which leads to them commiting ethically questionable acts by current standards.

Politics. I won't expand too far because of spoilers, but the politics of the situation is everything about these two. A question of who is right, who is wrong, why is this happening, all of it. Sure, it may be very surface level, however, it is something I'd agree is pretty good at what it does relative to its story, assuming you don't care too much.

- Both focus on tragic cruelty of war - Both has the same serious/dark tone through out the whole story - Both the narrative is as good - Both focus on character development. - Both has good pay off moments - Both has a very human characters - Both leave cliff hangers at the end of each episode.

- Both show the enmity between two "nations" (Alliance vs Empire / Eldia vs Marley) None of these nations represents Absolute Good or Absolute Evil, both are corrupted by warmongering with indoctrinated citizens, but there are characters who are a "beam of hope." - We are shown societies that live by and for War, since they have been fighting for centuries (in the case of Shingeki... Eldia vs Titans and Marley vs other nations). - In Shingeki, Marley constantly uses the word "Demon" to define the enemy. In Galactic Heroes, the Alliance also defines the Empire as "diabolical". - Both have important "Declaration of War on the Enemy" scenes. -  read more

Both shows are pretty similar. They are action packed in Code Geass the Mechas are the Titan Shifters and have their unique powers. Both of them are about racism, hypocrisy, a MC with a plan to change the world to the better and Reiner has a lot of characteristic to Suzaku such as both of them want to die, but they can't make up their mind. They oppose the MC and both of them suffer throughout the show. Gabi is as annoying and racist as Nina. There tons of waifus and very well written and complex characters with theme exploration.

A man with a plan. Who goes all out with their ideals, using all their power to stop at nothing until they have reached the goal they've been waiting for since day one. Full of action and military. Code Geass and AOT finales are something one could call an exemplary spectacle in the animanga medium. Would obviously watch from the beginning with both.

Demons and Titans have one thing in common! They eat humans to survive or for bloodlust! Kimetsu no Yaiba, they have Demon Corps to slay all the demons to protect humanity! Attack on Titan has three divisions. Military, Garrison, and Scouts. These three divisions have different goals in their nation. One is to fortify the walls, One is to guard the community and one is to slay demons.

Both are about philosophy morals etc, both have an amazing cast of characters and great female characters which unfortunately isn't much present in anime.

It pretty much has the same plot, and a lot of the same characteristics are shared between the protagonists through out the show. It's not as good as AOT in my opinion, but it's definitely fun and worth a watch!

Parasites have one thing in common with normal titans! they eat Humans to survive! In Parasyte the Main Character his right hand possessed by a parasite due to incapability to get into the Human brain! And now they need to survive in a world full of parasites. And the parasite in his hand is slowly becoming human while the Main Character slowly turning into a monster! Just like in the final season of Attack On Titan, In order to survive the world full of Titans they need to find an answer on how or when the Titans came from! And finally, the last stand between humans  read more

A very sad storyline of oppression and war against a nigh unbeatable enemy. There is a lot about sympathizing with those who oppressed you, as well as the possibility of the end of humanity. Many sad deaths and the horrors of war.

If you have watched Shingeki no Kyojin until the end you'll know what happened after the simple season 1 days and how it turned out s3 part 2 afterwards, then you might like Neon Genesis Evangelion in the beginning it's a normal mecha anime, until things spiral down to a rabbit hole just like Shingeki no Kyojin, and vice versa honestly recommendation work both ways. note: It'll confuse the hell out of you

Same voice actor (Yuki Kaji) and music composer (Hiroyuki Sawano). I nicknamed Shu as "Modern Eren" while watching it.

- Protagonist was born in a village/ small place - Similar story - Some people are oppressed by others - Amazing places - Giants monsters manipulated by humans - Use of science - Nausica is more poetic, but have action and an amazing leader, Shingeki have more violence and they try to survive radically - They want a peacefully world

-Battle Royale of OP characters Idaten that fight with other OP characters demons they are similar to titans. -Near future day setting but with some of war machines, ships, aircrafts and hopeless soldiers -Evil mastermind that plans many moves ahead -Ugly world, violence, gruesome deaths Both animes are full of action so you shouldnt be bored while watching them

Both of the anime talk about war and wartime tactics

Tokyo Ghoul is SOMEWHAT similar when it comes AOT. In Tokyo ghoul the MC becomes a protagonist and a antagonist at times like Eren, Also overpowered as hell like Eren and is one of the most powerful characters in the anime. Lastly, they in this anime the MC is share a common goal which is to choose the right thing that benefits the future of the world. However I will say this Tokyo Ghoul is 75% like AOT but the other 25% is on its own. (First Recommendation pls give mercy also tried my hardest not to give spoilers)

-Large scale battle field with many parties involved -Collosal monsters fighting -Threat of nation being destroyed -Protagonists dont understand what is happening -Takes place mainly in city

Endgame. The final part of the story. Two MCs change to become nothing like they were at the start, going forward with crazy ambitions so very questionable. Would recommend you start at the start of both series, rather than latching onto the final seasons clueless about prior events.

Two stories take place after a timeskip involving a new conflict that was explored in the previous and not to mention that the mcs from the pre timeskip has grown to the point that they are ready to take on the world through experience.

MCs deal against invaders who are humans specially distinct from their race in a battle for survival of the fittest. Both shows are beautiful in an artistic direction & music is well composed to the degree it adds up to the powerful and shocking moments of the series. Writing is splendid and I can't help but compare Attack on Titan to be somewhat of the deconstruction what Rahxephon reconstructed Evangelion deconstructed.

Both anime focus on clashing ideologies, characters duking it out over a disagreement about what is righ as the plot creates situations that are allegories making a social commentary about our society.

Attack on titan season 4's biggest characteristic is Eren yeager. His extreme complexity is what drives the entire season. Casshern Sins has inspired a huge part of Eren's character to the point that They are pretty much the same characters thematically. Scene by scene, line by line, AOT has been heavily influenced by Casshern sins. It borrows the most things from it. Casshern and Eren are 2 of the most complex characters ever and even though Eren still wins in pure complexity, Casshern is able to achieve relatively much more in a significantly shorter run. Other similarities- 1)Extremely depressing tones (CS>>AOT) 2)Great OST (AOT>>CS) 3)Heavily philosophical and tackling similar themes

New man. Like nothing as to how they started off, both MCs Kaneki and Eren are two completely different people with broken morals to the point where their own friends question their motives. Root A and AOT FS are quite hard to pass as a recommendation, given the vast quality difference in the two but the plots align heavily, regardless.

Cycle. I'll admit that this is quite the odd connection, but the cyclical nature of the two do share some vast similarities. This idea that there is no ending to what has started, these iterations are seemingly endless, and the means to break this odd loop that is life itself. AOT does this with more background and lore to it than the honest plain work of Yoji Kuri's Midnight Parasites. It's a fine relation for going around the different ways one can present some philosophical order bestowed for the human mind to think of. One's a full series compared to a shorter mini-movie. I'd recommend starting from  read more

It may seem a little off to recommend the two. But beyond backgrounds and looking at each as a standalone product. Princess Mononoke and AOT FS are very similar in what can be allocated to political ideologies, and the actions individuals feel the need to take, taking that into account and questioning it as such. With both using a fictional powerhouse within, Princess Mononoke adds on with imperialism, AOT FS adds on with almost fascist ideas. They both also have that opposition that will go full force to bring down these powers, usually with some kind of supernatural power on their side. Both are good anime with  read more

What I like about these two anime is the story, which is a twist and complex plot where the audience can determine which side is good or the villain according to their respective views and also these two anime are done by my favorite studio, mappa studio.
