(spoiler free review)
In this short episode, there's no animation and a barely passable plot.
The dialogue, however, is what made the episode so enjoyable. It's witty, refreshingly unconventional, and should be familiar to any fans. We don't really learn anything new about the characters from this dialogue but their personalities and relationships are reinforced. As for the sound, the voice acting was on point and the music was average: well-timed but not memorable and obviously nothing new. Interestingly though, since there wasn't really anything to look at, I found it easier to focus on voice actors' performances. Finally, as expected, nothing really happens this episode.
The story is mediocre at best. The pacing is decent, sure, and not entirely predictable due our eccentric characters; however, based purely on its plot, this episode was boring.
Like most specials, and especially one that's audio only, you don't really watch them because they're good per se. It's more for those fans of the series who are craving for more.
That said, I'm probably one of those fans.
