There are several details which reminded me of UtaKoi while watching Kochouki. You can mostly see both are historical, so everyone interested in Japanese history will find its place on any of these shows. On the other hand, both series have a good dose of drama. In Nobunaga's case, his story is told from his family drama perspective, which makes the show interesting from that side. UtaKoi makes more emphasis on the comic aspect of history: love affairs, jealousy, art. In general terms, if you are a lover of historical shows with relationships between people as a highlight, then both shows deserve your time.

Both are about Japan's historical incidents, they follow a character and their struggle to protect the people in the area. Both struggle alot for being outnumbered and face the deaths of many of their comrades. both have their weird sides as well.

Both series are set in warring periods of Japan and focus on the complexities of family, tradition, honor, and responsibility of leaders. The lead is at a disadvantage due to others under-estimating their resolve/goals. Dororo does involve more fantasy/horror elements, but if that doesn't bother you, it is a good follow up to this series.
