Note: I watched this with no previous knowledge of the game that it is adapted from, only knew its adapted from a game. I am also judging this show as a 12 episode anime -- this means keeping in mind what 12 episodes can accomplish, and not expecting the depth, character development, writing and literary techniques that can be employed with 24 episode, or, what some people have shown to do, expect the standards of a 50 episode piece in 12 episodes.
Art: 6/10
It's nothing special. It isn't horrific, I've seen anime where the art was just bad. It isn't a masterpiece for its time, its

Honestly, if you're on the fence and aren't sure because of the top reviews and rating, give it a shot anyways. People ripped this series a new one, and it was already on my list to watch, so I just binged it. I don't regret it at all!
This series gave a great foundation to the plot for the first half, and then was fast-paced in the 2nd half, as is typical in a 12-13 episode series. However, I felt the build-up and twists that come in the second half are really not that bad. If you think back on the story and how each action ... Jun 14, 2021
I don't understand all the hate. it had real potential................til the ending.
WARNING: Small spoilers included for the ending of show and for ending of kong vs godzilla. which is literally one of the worst endings I ever seen. A nobody wins, everyone loses ending. hell even the new Kong vs Godzilla movie ending was better, atleast there was a clear victor if it wasn't for Robozilla interfering and then they all of sudden become buddy buddy. Literally no winner when the entire damn show was around a war. so in the end if you don't mind disappointing endings, its a decent show.........til he end................... then its just ... Somewhat generic, but not at all at the same time.
Its refreshing to see anime with darker story without overblown fanservice. Without over the top action and MC, that doesnt behave like a generic teen moron. Why would i rank it in so high regard? Well... that would be the ending. Without sunshine, rainbows and glitter, full on melancholy and dred. Yes, there are stereotypes, but i cant say i remember other anime with the exact same spin and flavor on them. So yes... Id say it was refreshing change of pace to all those isekais and whatnot, that studios spits out all the time now Jul 7, 2020
Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle is about the struggle between light and darkness. In general, it is an underdeveloped story, being its weakest point. And also a very hurried ending.
The characters are quite correct, although they don't really get to be passionate. There's a lack of depth in them. The male protagonist has a somewhat flat personality, but he does his job well. The female protagonist also looks good. As for the designs, they're medium level, they're not horrible, but they don't stand out either. The ending is very rushed, and I'm sure it will leave many people unhappy, but it's not bad at all. The Opening is of ... Aug 1, 2020
First off let me say the Synopsis does not reflect the current 'Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle", but likely refers to one of their other works or planned works.
I also don't feel quite as harshly about this show as others have, I do agree that last 2 episodes felt like they phoned it in and didn't try but it could simply be a weak set up for their next 'step' if there is one. This is not a show that pushing the limits, it's not trying to do anything ground breaking and will likely never be anything more then a 'decent' watch at best. It follows ... |
