A truly faithful adaptation of chapter 193.5 from Volume 0, showcasing All Might's dark past that led him to becoming the Symbol of Peace.

"All Might - Rising The Animation" is a great tie-in with the Two Heroes movie- and I highly recommend watching it along with the film. In fact, this OVA ends with a direct connection to that movie.

Now, as for the OVA itself:
This animated special gives much asked-for and needed depth and history to All Might's character. Although the real reason All Might smiles was hinted at during season 3 with Nana Shimura's quote about how a real ...

Mixed Feelings
This special has 2 episodes: a short and bitter-sweet 3 minute video giving more backstory to All Might's grief over his sensei's sacrifice; a 6 minute picture drama that focuses on the after-math of the movie.

The 1st episode is amazing and has a lot of content, despite being only 3 minutes long. I really enjoyed it and if the special had stopped here, I would've given it a much higher grade.

I find hard to enjoy picture dramas (maybe it's just me, though) so I didn't have fun on the 2nd episode, hence why I gave it a 6.

For some reason, MAL is telling ...

All Might is one of the most prominent and popular characters of My Hero Academia. That said, the main series rarely expands on his backstory and not much is known about his history besides him being a former UA student, being originally quirkless and receiving One for All from his predecessor and mentor Nana Shimura many years before the start of the story. After training with Gran Torino he would set out to become the world's greatest hero many years later.

Somehow I felt a bit underwhelmed after watching All Might Rising. I was hoping that this special would be at least a 15 minutes long ...

It's really the short ones that get you straight into the feels when you least expect it, please, proceed with caution, I know I wasn't prepared for it until I felt the punch.
For starters, the photo on this MAL page doesn't contribute anything to the story carried on this short, and saying short isn't either stretching in or anything. It was literally 2 minutes long but it managed to pack up more feelings than you'd get on an episodic basis, don't you love it when they get straight into the point?
I would have preferred a longer version of this hat goes deeper than the uncountable ...

The 8 is only because of the second episode. The first episode is an 11/10. Very short, straight to the point and one of the most emotion packed 3 minutes i've seen in anime. All might's scream is the most powerful thing i've heard in anime period. Showing everyone this emotionally vulnerable side of All Might we haven't really seen really makes him more human to everyone and more relatable. Really makes you wanna root for him. Perfect job in explaining most of his backstory in such a small amount of time.

episode 2 is meh and would give it a 6. Going from such a ...

Welcome to my next review and probably to my shortest one so far. This review is about the short OVA 'Boku no Hero Academia: All Might - Rising The Animation'. Despite its title this OVA is really fricking short with around 3 minutes of runtime. I'm going to skip the studio and go straight for the review. Here we go.

Important Note: You gotta watch this movie alongside the movie Ftmutari no Hero, it's connect it as a episode 0.

Plot/Story: Not present. The OVA is about All Might in his young 18 after losing his mentor and now training with Gran Torino to become the ...

I didn’t expect much from this set of specials at first — I thought it would just be a random batch of scenes tossed together to hype the movie. But man, it was such a pleasant surprise. For something that’s technically a pre-movie teaser, it held its ground pretty well and carried that signature My Hero Academia energy from start to finish.

What I liked the most is how it manages to capture the same vibe as the main series — that mix of hopeful heroism, light humor, and character chemistry that makes you want to jump into the next scene. It didn’t feel like just ...
