Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru

There is a popular saying: "you can never be too careful." It is very important to prepare for every situation you may face, even if it seems like an unnecessary waste of time. Also, in games like RPGs, it is good to exceed the level of your enemies to achieve total victory.

These words describe Seiya Ryuuguuin a little too perfectly. After being summoned by the goddess Ristarte to save the world of Gaeabrande from destruction, the hero prepares himself for his noble journey. While this might be normal, he spends a very long time training himself, despite having overpowered stats. He fights weak enemies using his strongest skills and buys excessive amounts of supplies and potions—all to stay safe.

While his attitude may be a bit annoying, it might just be the saving grace of Gaeabrande, especially considering that it is a world where the forces of evil dominate each and every expectation.

This Anime made me write a review (OMG)

Well, I downloaded this series to get through some boring nights while on a business trip and did not expect much. I was proven wrong, as it made me laugh so hard at times, the facial expressions are a real killer sometimes. It all was over, when the chicken wings appears (you will get it).

In my Impression is that this anime made fun of many isekai clichees and really rubbed it in. In the last episodes it somehow turned a little more serious...they should just have continued with ridiculous, but that is only my opinion.

Very good watch ... for me 😜

Mixed Feelings

Finally got around to watching this after being enticed by it's manga's pilot chapter years ago. Very standard plot set in the typical "anime jrpg" world. It struggled a bit to find a purpose for the side characters except to be reaction shots and character foils. It leans heavily on cliches, and oftentimes felt a bit like a one trick pony. There was also a couple of times where plot points were not explained properly leaving the viewer confused. Suffered from a weak act 2B. Not to say it wasn't enjoyable, I finished the thing. Some very solid gags in the first couple of episodes ... and ended with a satisfactory "tearjerker" climax. What can I say? It's an isekai and I'm isekai trash.

Thanks, I hate it.

Humor is subjective and to me this one didn't go far enough in any direction to even qualify for the comedy tag.

Here is the premise:-

Japanese teens are always Isekaied so why break tradition, a goddess summons one to be this world's savior in a very Konosuba like fashion. Dude is OP and he just makes up the rules of this world as he goes to maintain OP status. The end.

And this is why this show doesn't work.

Wants to be a parody like Konosuba BUT blows through the tropes due to OP status instead of actually doing something clever or unexpected. ... So not a parody so much as a power fantasy.

Wants to be a comedy and tries to make the goddess the butt of the joke same as Konosuba BUT it's the "hero" degrading her over and over all while using her & actually hitting her. This is not funny, it's just abusive and the only one looking bad here is the hero.

Wants to cash in on the Isekai genre while being a pick me, aka "I'm not like other Isekais"... no, you're worse because others at least put the fun parts on screen. Generic as it might be other shows have world building, character arcs and plots. This one has all the good parts OFF SCREEN. Because heaven forbids we actually see those. It's just bad writing 101.

One other problem with the show is stakes. It wants to be a comedy while having the same stakes as a drama, down to that teen angst of an ending that every emo kid dreams about when they're 14. You can't have it both ways, the drama dampens the mood of a comedy while the comedy makes it so I can't take the drama seriously.

At first I was going with just bad, as in a 4 and maybe mixed feelings since humor is subjective. After that horrendous ending though it's down a point. It really came off as if it was written by a teenager during their emo phase, one that failed his writing class at that!
