In a galaxy far away, there is a kid without innate ability to practice internal techniques. So, in order to gain the respect of his father, he resolutely chooses to follow the more difficult and painful path of practicing external techniques. As the years go by, he grows up, but what really changes his life is a mysterious meteoric crystal stone – the Meteoric Tear. This stone fuses with the young man’s body unnoticed, and he seems to undergo drastic transformations as a result. After that, everything is changed. Eventually his father knows that the son for whom he hasn’t really shown a lot of consideration possesses astonishing abilities. And there’s a lot more to come.

In this review, I will treat both "seasons", as they are split in MAL, as one work. It essentially is, and it's especially relevant since the end of the first "season" ends up in a ridiculous cliff hanger. Long story short, I do not recommend it.

The highlight of Xingchen Bian occurs in the first 6 episodes by far. The protagonist, Qin Yu, is born without cultivation powers, and, in an effort to gain the attention of his father, practices physical martial arts, which is said to be far more difficult than cultivation skills, such that there has only been a few experts in the read more

I was planning to write a review on this anime anyways, but after reading the only other review, I now have to write one.... (the other review was really bad... if you couldn't tell already)

This review is spoiler free so feel free to read it before you watch.

Xing Chen Bian is a Chinese anime I found while going though the romance genre on MAL. I decided to give it a go since it had a decent rating. With that being said, there are zero romance in this anime, ZERO. so if romance is the only thing you care about, move along cuz you ain't finding read more

Story is like how he grown to be strong like zero to hero, but i think that was not new but the strong point is about relationship with your family.

Art is just okay, nothing special if you compared to most modern japan anime but for chinese anime its so good like how they put and mix one read more

This is a really good anime with its backstory stemming from the Qin dynasty which was China's first dynasty. This is a story that follows both fiction and non-fiction. Most of what was in the first season are historical events. However, there are some changes to fit the story of a mythic legend named Yu Qin. As the story progresses, Yu Qin becomes stronger and in season 2 meets a well-known Chinese legend, Sun Wu Kong. Well in the anime he wasn't named that but his weapon and looks are inspired by Sun Wu Kong. This has roots in Chinese epics such as Xi You read more
