Both have: Unique concepts. Small cast but great characters. Amazing fights! Great music! Ofc great animation. Both of them should get a sequel. Lol.

Though MFKZ and Cike Wu Liuqi share little in common in the way of story and characters, they have similar vibes and senses of humour. In my opinion they also feel like pieces of media that have the potential to appeal to people who aren't fans of anime/donghua, partially due to their humour and artstyle causing them to feel like outliers in their respective mediums from my personal experience with both, feeling almost more reminiscent of action-oriented Newgrounds animations, just with a higher budget and longer runtime. Fans of one aren't guaranteed to like the other, but there's still a decent chance they'll get some  read more

Both movies contain a frantic, cartoony style with R rated violence and sex. Both movies are super fast paced about a pair of people on the run fighting the authorities who chase after them who are conducting secret evil genetic experiments. The characters designs are random eccentric amalgamations of things that only vaguely resemble humans.

It’s remarkable and a blessing that such refreshingly unique anime movies can share so many similarities. Loveable low-life protagonist buddies on the run after trouble finds them, modern seedy urban setting, badass action scenes driven by aggressive electronic soundtracks that make you lean forward in your seat with a smile on your face, bizarre characters and plot elements, violence nudity and language worthy of an R-rating, and most of all, excellent animation and pure style that throw all anime tropes and conventions out the window. Not many people will find either of these niche movies fit their tastes, and neither are perfect masterpieces, but if you  read more
