The iDOLM@STER SideM: Wake Atte Mini!

First there was Puchimas, then Cinderella Girls Gekijou, so SideM gets their own chibi anime short!

The iDOLM@STER SideM: Wake Atte Mini! is pretty much the aforementioned chibi version of the other iDOLM@STER parent stories chibi shorts but with SideM characters this time.

And because SideM's parent story only focused a fair few groups (Dramatic Stars, Beit, W and HighxJoker) but The iDOLM@STER SideM: Wake Atte Mini! takes it even further and brings in a bigger cast and gives them some screentime and as such groups like Cafe Parade, S.E.M, Sai, Frame, Shinsoku Ikkon and Altessimo to name a few.

With many of the episodes spanning 3 ... minutes a piece where we see SideM characters do their daily idol stuff and bringing in the aforementioned larger cast and sometimes making them to focus of the episode.

The animation done by Zero-G has the typical chibi character designs throughout the board and very much is the same aesthetics as the Cinderella Girls Gekijou's Gathering and Lespirit animation right down to the the songs as well.

Voice work was pretty good and with such a huge cast of characters LA would be here all day if LA said each one in detail, MVP, well then Fumihiko Tachiki who voiced Saito Takashi the President of 315 Pro as he has PASSION and the cadence to prove it.

All in all this is a pretty decent anime short looking at the daily lives of the SideM characters much like Cinderella Girls did with Gekijou, all in good fun comedy shorts and if your a fan of SideM well then these comedy shorts are a definite watch as not only do they expand and give characters that were only given cameos from their parent anime, this anime short gives them more screentime and heck even give them a focused episode, 3 minute sure but still. The iDOLM@STER SideM: Wake Atte Mini! is decent all around and a pleasant experience be it if you are a fan of SideM or not and quite easy to watch at 40 minutes or less to watch the entire anime short.
