lol, so here I am watching Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, and I'm having a grand ol' time, this show is awesome. I just finish episode 4 and go to watch the next one. For some reason I didn't realise I was watching a recap episode until I was about halfway through the ep, I thought the people making this anime just went Full Metal Retarded and decided to pull a Toei and make half the episode a recap. But nah, it was just a recap episode. lol.
But man am I glad they decided to put a recap after episode 4 because I was
literally JUST thinking to myself "man, this anime sure is complicated, I hope I don't forget anything. It sure would be nice if they gave me some kind of summary of what happened thus far to help me remember all that I just watched" and almost like god himself was watching me BAM! my wishes were granted in full. Thanks god.
Alright, this is awesome, now that I remember everything I can finally move on and watch the *rest* of the anime. I was literally just thinking to myself that I might have to rewatch the first four eps, man I can't express enough how glad I am that they decided to make a recap after episode four. Anyway, I watch the next four episodes and go to watch the next episode and THERE IT IS, right after episode 8 I realised something. "AAAAHHHH MAAAAN, THERE'S ANOTHER RECAP" That's right, not one but TWO whole recap episodes. Man, these guys who made this show are so awesome. Even though I just binged the first eight episodes within the last few hours I had forgotten it all, so oh boy am glad that they decided to make so many recaps.
I just finished recap episode number two, I still have like 4 episodes left to watch after I finish writing this review.
Okay, but seriously, these recaps are completely pointless. I guess they had a lot of production issues or whatever while making this anime so they needed the extra time... so they decided to just make random recaps to give themselves more time to make the anime. Which is fine, I can dig that. IIrc there was also something about the last two episodes taking a month to come out or whatever but whatever... it's fine.
But if they *really* wanted to recap something so badly they could've did something about the other three seasons, like I dunno recapping the *rest* of the story? It has been, what, 50 years since The Second Raid ended? I'm guessing some people probably forget what happened back then... at least more than what happened four episodes ago :/ or I guess they assumed everyone would've rewatched the first few seasons before jumping right on to the next one. That makes sense, it HAS been 300 years after all. I'll forgive them.
Anyway, what they're recapping is 10/10 material. Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone who (A) Watched and liked the other three seasons of Full Metal panic or (B).... Well I guess I'd only recommend it to anyone who liked the rest of the show, if you watched the rest of it and *still* don't like it don't expect to start liking it now, just drop it already dude.
Now about these recap episodes, I can only really recommend them to anyone who:
(A) Randomly stopped watching Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory after 4 episodes and is coming back after a while and REALLY doesn't wanna rewatch a mere 4 episodes....
(B) See (A) but replace all 4's with 8's
(C) Someone with the most retarded short term memory loss ever
(D) If you're some kind of weird "ultra completionist" who just HAS to watch every entry of every anime he watches... I guess there are probably some people like that out there :/
And that's about it. Have fun~
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. As an actual "recap" this does a pretty bad job at being a "recap". They leave out a few important-ish details and yhadda yhadda, whatever. just watch the actual show. There's no point in watching this TBH
