New Interest Stack
Interest StacksCottegecore stories harken back to simpler times and a simpler way of living. Many stories center on the idea of a simple life of self-sufficiency in harmony with nature, or characters having adventures in a pretty cottegecore environment. Cottegecore is often influenced by the romanticization of the European countryside in historical times, but may also take place in the woods, mountains, or other rustic locations in any time period. Aesthetics often include rural landscapes, cottages, and other dwellings surrounded by flowers and nature, boys in overalls and girls in old-fashioned dresses, lush forests, and low-tech items and furniture from olden times. These extremely tiny people - sometimes referred to as lilliputians - often face a number of challenges living in a normal human-sized world. They might live alongside humans openly or in secret, or live deep in the forest or other rural places humans are less likely to dwell. Getting eaten or stepped on by bigger creatures is a real concern, though tiny people are often portrayed as a friend to animals who are able to communicate with them and ride them for transportation. In some cases, ordinary people become tiny people due to a magic spell or transformation item. These 20th century series and animated films take place in the countryside, forest, or other rural location. These classic series aired on Nickelodeon back in the 80s and 90s. I grew up watching tons of anime, including some supr cool retro re-runs, so why not make a collection of them in one nostalgic stack? Anime aired in Spain's TV channels (public or private), listed with the Spanish title. Might be missing some or be messy: I wanted to add the most important but also the less obvious. Excluding most sequels & movies. The criteria here is simple: Anime released in 2001 or earlier, with under 25,000 MAL Members, and which I've rated a 6 or higher. Kumiko Oosugi is a japanese singer and actress, she is known as one of the "Four Kings of Anime Music" due to her countless and valuable contributions to the scene of anime music over her long career spanning over 50 years. Shows in which parts of the natural world such as its landscapes, flora and fauna and the people who live harmoniously alongside it are portrayed with a particular focus and reverence. Miniature worlds that are explored through the eyes of insects, mice, small animals, lilliputians (little people), fairies, etc. I'll make note of the ones that are a bit more interesting or polished for an adult audience, as opposed to dated children's series, which, unfortunately most of the titles on the list fall under. |
