Synopsis

Ever since the death of his father, the burden of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado's shoulders. Though living impoverished on a remote mountain, the Kamado family are able to enjoy a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to make a little money selling charcoal. On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take shelter in the house of a strange man, who warns him of the existence of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the woods at night.

When he finally arrives back home the next day, he is met with a horrifying sight—his whole family has been slaughtered. Worse still, the sole survivor is his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a bloodthirsty demon. Consumed by rage and hatred, Tanjirou swears to avenge his family and stay by his only remaining sibling. Alongside the mysterious group calling themselves the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjirou will do whatever it takes to slay the demons and protect the remnants of his beloved sister's humanity.

I'm sure you've heard it before but Demon Slayer really is that good.

It's arguably one of the best Shonen anime of the 21st century.

The story is set in 1800s Japan where a fictionalized group hunts demons plaguing Japan led by a Michael Jackson lookalike. The setting is a real world historical backdrop although it doesn't play a pivotal role.

The story follows a boy whose family was slaughtered by demons except for his younger sister Nezuko who was turned into one, he must protect Nezuko from other demon slayers as well as find the man who killed his family and exact revenge.

Mixed Feelings
demon slayer reminds me of my hero academia in blandness.

i can’t pinpoint the reason why I feel so irritated by the 3rd season. the animation was quite beautiful, I grew very fond of the characters but somehow those characters never tend to move forwards in their personal strengths. Tanjiro saved the day, Nezuko got one useful scene, another Hashira appeared and got overwhelmed by a demon.

The first season was really good, second one got repetitive and the third one was just a mix of both. However I do like the characters and will continue to support this anime. Yet it’s just nothing new.

Felt like they used AI to create the most predictable story any anime could have. This show is what I assume non-anime watchers think all anime is like, so they just avoid it. Nothing really unique or special about the show, but the art style is nice. I like the look of the characters but they were all stereotypes I've seen too much. They react in the exact way you could expect and aren't very unique in personality. I think young people might like this show, but for something with sustenance, look somewhere else. The show isn't bad, but it's not good.
