Chinese anime (AKA Donghua) that has adapted a Boy's Love source.

Anime with great worldbuilding, or the development of the fantastical environment and world! None of these anime take place in what you would call 'our universe', rather taking place in an alternative universe or fantasy/ sci-fi setting with amazingly well-tailored and fitting details in technologies and architecture that makes every world unique.

Bromance, Male-friendship, Ambiguous ambiance, Fujo-bait this time focusing on the non-japanese side (donghua and else).
Most of the entries are adapted from Danmei (BL) novel, but censorship kinda take out BL moments.
(male) Characters that have a strong moving emotional bond, fujoshi particularly enjoy.

Basically list of adaptations of all three Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's novels. Best written cast out of all series I'd read and watched, amazing world building and heartbreaking backstories...

Their own list is the least these masterpieces deserve.

List of anime featuring at least one LGBT+ character that aren't BL or GL. I try to only put those that are either confirmed canon (in story or by the author) or so explicitly implied that there's little to none other interpretation.

- Not all of these are "perfect" representations. Some more controversial portrayals have a warning in the comments.

- (Recent update) Edited the list so that characters who's sexuality is more "up for debate" are now written down as MLM/WLW instead of the mouthful Gay/Bi/Pan (which I'd forget to write in some places anyway)

- All nonbinary people are transgender. If a character is described as nonbinary instead of trans it's just to specify that that's what the anime more heavily points at.

- For the "not BL/GL" rule I went with whatever the anime is tagged as on MAL (though some of these I believe should've been tagged when they're not...). List might change as MAL keeps editing stuff.

These donghua have well-written stories, intriguing worldbuilding, well-developed characters, smooth 2D animation, and beautiful art.
Donghua with 3D/CG character animation do not apply. Donghua very light on plot, like episodic comedies or primarily visual spectacles, do not apply.

Various types of series that involve some sort of LGBT representation, be it in characters, relationships, plots, etc.

Here you can find some of the Donghua (Chinese animation) that are here on MyAnimeList. A Tag or Genre has not yet been created to differentiate Donghuas from Animes, but this list is created mainly for that reason to help the community. . .

There is a way to differentiate Donghua from anime
1) the names
2) the animation is more peculiar and is generally CGI
3) the language, the most obvious hehehehe
As I find Donghua interesting I will add it to the list.

While the term "anime" is known to be an animated show produced in Japan, there is a wide range of items it may refer to. Another section it may be referring to is the most definitely overlooked part of animation, donghua, more likely known as Chinese animation.

Since it was produced in China, not Japan, it may have not gained as much attention, while it deserves no less than others. Here are a few you might want to check out!

Note that this list includes the main seasons, not side stories.

Avoided a bit of the really obvious ones (The Big 3 and Death Note) and some that were really similar to something already present on this list. Also, enjoy your life a bit more by watching these gems.

They may be not enterly evil, but still their morality is a little bit different than that of average pearson
