Tsutsui Hikari is an otaku, and he mostly avoids social life. Hikari has only one friend at school, who is also a social misfit, and he is mocked brutally by most of his classmates for being creepy and weird. One day, he ends up having to clean the school pool with Igarashi Iroha, who appears to be pretty much everything he hates in real-life girls. She skips school, has a blunt manner, doesn't have female friends, and seems the sort to be promiscuous. However, she is friendly to Hikari, and even stands up to the people who make fun of him. Hikari's bitterness and trust issues lead him to say pretty harsh things to Iroha, but she never dismisses him as creepy. After a while, it starts to look like Iroha may become his first real-life, 3D girlfriend! Will he be able to handle it?

Typically, a show scored under 7 is garbage. Therefore, it is surprising that this is getting such a poor score.

Don't get me wrong, it's not groundbreaking anime but I saw many shows over 7.5 that are definitely worse than this one. I feel like the MAL score is slowly becoming irrelevant.

I typically can't handle shoujo anime (the pace is so slow, I feel like dying) but there's just enough mystery in the story to keep you interested. The character interactions are indeed awkward and cringey but considering the setting it makes perfect sense.

From the setup, it looks like it's supposed to be a drama more read more

This show is a bit fast when it comes to the story but I don't feel it was rushed or anything that leads to poor product nor confusion to the viewer. The story itself wasn't unique but nonetheless it still entertaining to watch. It just a story about an anime otaku and a girl which I can't explain what personality she had without using offensive words so let us leave it like that, I let you discover it...

The Art has no any diffirence, or what I can say, it wasn't unique nor new. The Animation was fine, smooth as always. Background also has nothing to read more

Watching 3D Kanojo feels like standing in the middle of no man's land where two parties are trying to bomb the living shit out of each others with cliches and cringe. By two parties, I mean our two main characters. It's so over the top, it is actually quite entertaining to watch.

The writer keeps throwing romance cliches in such a tempo it can only be called an impressive work. Our main girl is full of opposites. At the same time, she is a whore and an innocent treasure. A strong badass and a crying little girl. It's never certain if what she says is honest read more

Well, with all my heart I can say that this is one of the better shows (of the entire Hoods Entertainment production shows) that the studio has managed to put out, and it's got nothing on what Marchen Madchen was brought last season.

Based on the completed manga series by Mao Nanami, it displays the love affection of a popular female figure (Iroha Igarashi) and a weird, creepy otaku (Hikari Tsutsui, or Tsutsun as Iroha puts it). Problem is, Tsutsun has always feared 3D, real-life girls because of the implications of what 2D, virtual girls don't have, and that signs a "death warrant" on his life read more
