Synopsis

Wall Sina, Goodbye
Annie Leonhart has a job to do—and a resulting absence that must stay off her record at all costs. With no one else to turn to, she asks her comrade Hitch Dreyse to cover for her. She agrees but puts forward a single condition: Annie must solve the fruitless missing person case Hitch was assigned. The case revolves around Carly Stratmann, a university graduate and the daughter of wealthy businessman Elliot Stratmann. With only a single day to solve the case and the underground of the Stohess District crawling with thugs, Annie must put her all into finding this girl. Yet, every answer she uncovers only leads to further questions—how has the illegal drug coderoin found its way to Stohess, what is Elliot hiding, and where has Carly disappeared to?

Lost in the Cruel World
With worry for Eren Yeager gripping her heart, Mikasa Ackerman begins to remember. She remembers her conversations with Armin Arlert, her concern for her friends, and most painfully, the time she had almost lost everything. As fear takes control, she begins to experience an alternate version of her past—some things can be changed, but are there events so inescapable that she cannot even prevent them in her dreams?

This OVA for Attack on Titan consists of two stories. The first story is about Annie and spans the first two episodes. The second story is about Mikasa and is the third episode.

The story about Annie is great. It's about her solving a disappearance case and it's a great and interesting story to watch. It also adds to Annie's character which is mostly left unexplored in the main series. The two episodes about her story are marked as episode 16.5a and 16.5b to indicate when they happen in the timeline though I'd argue the best time to watch them is after finishing season 1 ...

The Lost girls OVA is a 3 episode series with two episodes dedicated to a detective styled story with Annie as the main character. The third episode is an alternate reality dream sequence the Mikasa has.

The first two episodes are nice, there isn’t much hardcore action, just a few scenes with Annie brawling with thugs but the story itself is pretty decent. The plot was good and the mystery aspect was well done with some interesting side characters. The story was pretty grounded in reality with every character having reasonable motives. 7/10

The second story; just one episode long isn’t all that great. It is supposedly ...

Spoiler
The story following Annie felt unnecessary as well as unimportant to the main story. As much as I like more content, I did not take away anything more from it than filler. There were slight plot holes, like Annie leaving a titan arm behind, whether or not it evaporates entirely, it's hard to believe no one saw it. The mystery was uninteresting and I did not care much for anyone involved. Mikasa also gets one episode, but that too felt off, even more so. The pacing was alright but it also felt like I gained nothing from it, Mikasa did not grow as a character. ...
