Synopsis

High school student Sora Kashiwagi is accustomed to receiving bizarre presents from his father, who is on an expedition around the world. Unfortunately, these gifts have been nothing but nightmares. As a result, when his father sends him a huge package from Egypt, Sora prepares himself for the worst, only to be greeted by Mii-kun—a cute, pint-sized mummy! While initially wary, Sora soon learns that Mii-kun is harmless, a delicate creature yearning for attention.

Throughout their amusing day-to-day lives, the unlikely pair meet other people with unique pets, while also strengthening their bond together. Although keeping a pet is a difficult task, Sora is set on caring for the lovable Mii-kun.

Your daily dose of cuteness and friendship is here!

I would like to applaud "Miira no Kaikata" for being the cutest anime that knows how to be cute and wholesome without being forced or sexualized. How amazing! If I had to describe it I would jut say that this is perfect for some cozy afternoons with good laughs and a nice snack. I love how every tiny creature has its own personality and how they're all different.

The themes of friendship and care are so adorable. It's safe to say that I'm attached to this anime and this giant family (not literal). Someone please take me there, ...

Mixed Feelings
Mii-kun more like Miid-kun

Cheap animation, some good laughs, very cute, but forgets what kind of show it was trying to be. Unnecessary melodrama in the second half that serves no purpose. It's thoroughly adorable and there are some nice background details with some of the characters even if the budget probably wasn't all that high. Out of the main (human) cast, only two characters have anything to do with anything and everyone else is dead weight. Sora and Kamiya start off like good friends but towards the end of the show act more like a couple in a failing marriage with the latter flying off ...

How to Keep a Mummy

Back then I heard about this anime adaptation, which is supposed to be about a very lovable mummy. For once, I really can't deny it, the anime has an enormous "cute" factor for these little fantasy animals, especially the mummy Mii-Kun (although the name could hardly be less creative).

Accordingly, yes, the anime is adorable and cute.

However, that's it. Miira no Kaikata is still not just an SoL title, but a comedy. But it's not even an easy meal, this anime doesn't even get baked.
The humor roughly corresponds to what would make a 4-year-old child smile. The jokes are mostly so flat ...
