Mystery is my favorite genre, so trust me when I say I know what I'm talking about... kinda...

mystery is a pretty broad term, that has many different types. so I will help you by specifying what exactly is it that makes their mystery aspect good.

you will obviously not agree with every pick, but I think any mystery fan will be pleased with the overall selection.

To qualify for the list, the manga had to be at least 15 years old when the anime came out. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and anime. Each manga can only be accounted for once, so no remakes - those go on a separate list.

Everything has a background and a meaning in its existence. The 'rules' and regulations and even the social status of the world are thoroughly explained. A world where you can immerse yourself in.

Here the Best anime means that the anime is not commercial failure for the studio and is liked by most of the anime fans, so all the anime in this list are loved by majority of anime fans, not a personal biased and I've written honorable mention in text if I think there is more than one(best anime) anime by the same studio.

But the main connecting aspect here is the exploration of sci-fi as a fundamental theme and the exploration of te philosophical, sociopolitical and/or psychological consequences of technology whether directly or indirectly, seriously or lightheartedly.

Eden's Zero won't be returning to Netflix as it seems the sequel's rights went over to Crunchyroll, I'll update the list if the next Hathaway Flash Gundam films are slated to release on Netflix. We now know the film cast for the Scott Pilgrim film will return to its anime adaptation by Science SARU, so far, we don't know if it'll even be added to the MAL database like other IPs supposed "anime" adaptations, in quotation marks because Netflix can call it anime all it wants but some don't count.
