Synopsis

After a mysterious inferno kills his family, Shirou is saved and adopted by Kiritsugu Emiya, who teaches him the ways of magic and justice.

One night, years after Kiritsugu's death, Shirou is cleaning at school, when he finds himself caught in the middle of a deadly encounter between two superhumans known as Servants. During his attempt to escape, the boy is caught by one of the Servants and receives a life-threatening injury. Miraculously, he survives, but the same Servant returns to finish what he started. In desperation, Shirou summons a Servant of his own, a knight named Saber. The two must now participate in the Fifth Holy Grail War, a battle royale of seven Servants and the mages who summoned them, with the grand prize being none other than the omnipotent Holy Grail itself.

Fate/stay night follows Shirou as he struggles to find the fine line between a hero and a killer, his ideals clashing with the harsh reality around him. Will the boy become a hero like his foster father, or die trying?

It's nice that the characters in the anime have a separate personality from each other, the later anime and films already explain the characters in more detail, but my love is SABER! SABER is a perfect character in every aspect!
I don't think a better waifu will come to the anime world, saber is an excellent character in every aspect, I personally would like more episodes about saber.

If you extend it by making 2 or 3 seasons and renewing the graphics of the bidet, I will give 10 stars. As someone who watched the whole series, I miss watching good episodes with Saber. Pls

Mixed Feelings
This show is both really bad and pretty good.

If you're used to modern shows and you haven't yet fallen down the rabbit hole that is Fate, I don't think there's much of a chance you'll enjoy this show. The animation is (again, through a modern lens) rather mediocre. It's not a complete trainwreck, but it is notably dated. Other than that, the pacing feels odd, and the story overall progresses rather slow. I get that it's the point sometimes, but this show had significantly more slideshows and repetition than was necessary to carry the point across. And while that's true of some parts, some ...

I love Fate
That's why I don't like 2006 adaptation.
But to be fair, for it's time, when it was the only Stay Night adaptation, it wasn't actually that bad. And even now I have "Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni" in my playlist.
That's why I give 5/10 and not less.
This anime was my first Nasuverse experience and despite the fact that many moments from the VN were missed, it interested me, so I kept watching Fate. Then I played the VN, got Artoria's ending and understood how much moments were skipped in anime.
Fate Stay Night 2006 isn't bad.
But now, when there is UBW adaptation, better watch ...
