This anime was a surprise really thought it was going to be another average school life series...Well I couldn't have been more wrong. Its a great one!!. you just have to give it chance passed the first episode from their you'll be hooked.
Although in a high school setting it has a twist to it and apart from not your usual plot theirs not your usual main character kiyotaka.
Damn really enjoyed him and refreshing to see an MC with balls not blushing every 10 seconds. Hes chilled relaxed and got an extreme wit to him which you wouldn't expect; kind of like light form death

As a little disclaimer, I haven't read the Light Novel as of writing this review, but I plan on getting around to it sometime soon, so this review will be based solely on the anime and the little that I've gathered about its deviations from the source material. Anyway, Classroom of the Elite. If you want to talk about a show with a lot of promise, Classroom of the Elite is one near the top of the list. It had so much going for it, a bad ass protagonist, an interesting setting, engaging motivations, a solid cast of girls to argue over who was best

Everyone has its dark side? Well, not like Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's!
It all begins with the school entrance exams after which everyone gets separated in classes from A to D (or should I say from Super Smarties to Proclaimed Idiots). However, this year D class might be a liiiitle bit different. As you watch the episodes you'll see more and more from Ayanokouji's hidden inner side which is much more complex than what anyone, even Horikita, can ever imagine. Moreover, with the school's shady system of giving/extracting points it is only natural that there can be a lot of unexpected twists thanks to the competition against ... Aug 16, 2017
From reading the summaries listed on websites, Classroom of the Elite may seem like a blend of multiple shows such as Oregairu and Baka no Test. However, in my opinion it is something very unique. For an anime based off a light novel, it has done a fairly good job of adapting most of the critical parts. As expected, there are some cut corners, as expected with any LN adapted anime. Nonetheless, the end product is still phenomenal and provides vast amount of enjoyment.
Story and Character: 9 For those who do not know, the story is based on an elite Tokyo high school in ... Oct 28, 2019
tl;dr: A series that manages to pull off an amazing cunning protagonist with interesting systems set around an extreme version of school.
This is an anime that has two major strengths that are enough to make it amazing. The first is the systems. Doing well in school isn't just about doing well in tests and not getting in trouble, but rather keeping close watch of the other classes and taking every chance possible to cut them down while doing your best to rise in rank. While it ultimately is just a school, and the worst that can happen is expulsion, it feels kind of like a ... Aug 18, 2018
It's an amazing anime, especially as they reveal glimpses of Ayanokouji's past.
The best part of the anime are the final episodes. I never got to understand the relationship between Horikita and her brother. . Also the ending was not as expected. I'm really hoping that there will be a season 2 to this anime. It was a rather short anime with only 12 episodes. Ayanokouji's expressionless face is quite remarkable. The school is one of a kind especially the background given about it. Every episode is more exciting and captivating than the last one. How he ended up in D-class is still suspicious. Sep 27, 2017
Story: It can be compared to Baka and Test in the sense where lower ranked classes are competing to gain access into the higher ranked classes. However Classroom of the Elite takes a little more of the serious route. These children are fighting to go up the ranks so they can either attend a prestigious college or work for a high ranked company or government position.
Add in the usage of points and the process of gaining and losing points needed to survive in the school and it adds for an intriguing story. The development for the main characters and some of the side characters ... Nov 22, 2017
Right from the get-go you could already see where this anime was leading. From the quotes that appear each episode to the overall vibe of the anime you could tell it was a melodrama school life anime.
The show had a decent start, showing off to the audience the main premise of the anime and what it will revolve around. The point system was.....unique, I'll give it that but I can't bring myself to say that its a good one. The reason being, yes it was something that caught my attention, but not long enough for me to last the entire series. Aside from the main ... Sep 1, 2017

"It is the undeniable feeling where you can truly enjoy and have an inducing normal life" --But not like this-- Coming to the long conclusion from the new methods which school has locked down your secured loathed desire along with your own guilt. Not even less suffering can contradict your depressing routine. The system is the main core of this plot, as usual. Taking a set different turn filled who less students enrolled in this academy was their true intentions for them to gather more amount of points in the class not only defaulting negative thoughts while being tested by the whole school. How corrupted when ... Aug 17, 2017
Never wrote a review before and english is not my first language so hope you guys understand if I do some Orthographical errors, anyways... This show is amazing so far. (will try to evade spoilers the best I can)
Lets start by what most anime fans thought when they watched the trailer, they thought it would be a Oregairu like anime and until the final moments of the first episode it really looked like it, but them like a explosion the anime starts to show itself, this anime its nothing like others, I cant even say if its cliche when everything nowadays are cliche, because of ... Well, at least for me this us the best show for 2018. Please note although this anime setting is highschool, most suit genre for this anime is psychological. Most people compared this to oregairu, which is not apple to apple (yet main character similar to hachiman, but with more self-centered). It is more likely hyouka with mafia taste. Each class had their own unique way of thinking. Fascist, democracy, unmanageable, etc.
I've watched all episode to conclude this review. I wont make a half-baked review just for 1-2 first episode, which kinda lame. This review section is for overall, not just 1-2 episode. Aug 24, 2017
Story:
Classroom of the Elite has a rather generic story when written down, with its clear goal being to prove that an individual's own potential can pull themselves to a better position à la Social Mobility. Despite my own reservations about the message of this anime, I found the execution of the story to be quite compelling, utilizing heavily upon show not tell storytelling which is refreshing since it allows for the viewer think along with what is happening on screen rather than being force fed the same material. Note: I originally was planning to rate this an 8, but episode 7 is a filler episode ... Sep 3, 2017
Classroom of the Elite... what can i say?
Well, for once the story centers about Japan's mania of hierarchy that everything is power and everything is competition and if you have no prestige nor power you are nothing. Also involves how those on higher ranking statues are allowed to "bully the weak". But that is not new for japan since 90% of their "competitive" stories are like that with their hierarchy prejudice. Regardless this story rather than a harem rom-com is more of a drama. We got Ayanokouji Kijotaka (which last name is familiar to me), an emotionless sociopath whose aim is to have a normal peaceful life and not ... Oct 2, 2017
Omoshiroi!!! One of the most interesting animes I've seen this year. It does not only successfully manage to quickly create an interesting plot line, but it also keeps you guessing until the end.
This anime has two strong features: interesting setting, great characters. The school and the points system immediately got me sucked into the story, because it really seems like a good idea, focusing education not only on traditional learning and individual success, but forcing the whole class to act together, making students responsible for both their individual and joint decisions and behavior. Also, many of the characters have either a deep dark secret or a ... Sep 27, 2017
MINOR SPOILERS.
Before i start with this review i just want to tell that everyone have their own different opinions so i am not forcing anyone to agree with this review also what i am going to write is not a fact but rather a personal thoughts about this series. Story:7/10 The setting of the story revolves about this school called "Koudo Ikusei Senior High School". It is not a typical school, they have a unique system called as "S-system" where the students from this school are assessed and assigns them for what they are worth based on their performance evaluation, this school also has a ranking system ... 'Classroom of the Elite' is an anime about a nonchalant kid who secretly has maxed-out stats for everything except human emotion. If you are like me, you will enjoy the anime for what it is (also cringy Edge Lords), but you may need more time for a critical anime reviewer.
The art style is standard, except the characters have beautiful eyes. Although Ayanokouji's traits may be unrealistic, at the end of the day, this is an anime; therefore, anything is possible. At the end of season 1, you can predict the primary outcomes of the show (this is where enjoying it for the ride comes in ... Dec 12, 2017
The story was good, but the drama could get a little boring. The thing I loved about it was the main character. He is apathetic and seemingly unmotivated. You start to notice some odd things about him throughout the show, though. I don't want to spoil, but he is great. The whole show I am wondering, What is he thinking? What is going on inside his head? Sometimes it shows a flashback of when he was a kid, but doesn't explain it at all. The other characters are good too, and I really relate to Suzune Horikita and her dislike of humanity. The other characters

This anime is based on a light novel and I have always been a fan of light novel adaptation. And this anime does not disappoint you in anyway but yes there maybe some episodes which you are going to find boring, still all the episodes are gripping. Kiyotaka The MC is actually really well written and he has some great moments.
Many anime who have got good starting episodes often disappoint you with its finale but this anime had an excellent finale with a good thrill in the end. So yaa it is worth watching and it is going to get you hooked to the screen ... Apr 9, 2020
Well I will be writing this review hoping u have not watched the anime yet .
To me the first time i watched it , the story was quite intriguing to me. The anime itself is quite good, only if u haven't read the source work(Light Novel) or manga . I can say it was totally different from anything i had watched. The anime is typical like any other, i.e, it is not flawless . I saw some reviews about all the mistakes but the thing is it only depends on u to judge how good an anime is .This review is nothing but my own feeling ... Dec 11, 2017
In this review, I will go through each of the core elements and provide details as to why I enjoyed this anime, and have given it the score it has. Before that however, I would like to say that, in my personal opinion, this is the best anime I have seen out of Summer 2017, if not the entire year. It is a very interesting and unique take on the school genre. However, if you do not enjoy being kept in the dark about your story, and don't want to ask yourself questions, then I do not recommend this show for you.
