Recommendations

Both series are sequels to their first seasons. They both continue on from the first season, where the protagonists from both series create more memories that are laughable, cute, etc. Both series take on the slice of life, comedy genre. The protagonists in both series are also quite cute and lovable.

Both anime have eccentric characters, although people may not agree with me about that concerning New Game!!. Both casts get along surprisingly well despite their obvious personality differences and conflicts. The comedy tends to be a bit over the top. Both opening theme songs are amazing fun songs that introduce the viewer to the type of environment the shows offers. Both shows are in the slice of life and comedy genres. Every episode builds up the overall simple story, in both shows, but they seem episodic to an extent as well, so accidentally watching one episode out of order (not  read more

Both are upbeat, comical and sometimes touching stories with a focus on the journey and not the destination. Both involve conflict amongst themselves and how to move foward. Though New Game!! has a more focussed look at the thoughts and actions of the protagonist, both offer a look inside the lives of a unique and simple group of people.
