All Media Guide.

In all the anime on the list, I recommend watching the Japanese version with original audio, as it does not have any type of censorship and cuts.
The North American versions of these animes, which were later distributed to other countries by 4kids, were severely distorted with cuts, censorship, name changes and soundtrack changes. In the case of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, an entire season was even cut. That's why I recommend the original Japanese version.

This is a list of Great, Long Anime. Watching these anime as a glue to hold together shorter anime is a great way to experience these anime. They are quiet long, so binging them is out of the question. Having long seasons, these anime anime start to blur the line between a show and a life style.

This list is filled with Action, Sports, and Military Anime as these genres and themes are more able to be spanned out to many episodes with enemies increasing intensity every arc. In many of the listed anime, the plot revolves around the struggle between two or more groups. The conflict in the opposing groups allow for many interactions that frequently span many episodes before resolving. The main characters have incredible physical power and have intense action scenes with notable conflicts with other characters, taking advantage of the opponent's weaknesses.

The selection is made by the best of the long anime, and are currently ordered by number episodes.

Shows/movies where an advanced A.I. is a main character (usually as an android) or the show focuses on the dilemma surrounding their existence. When you think about it, humanity isn't that far away from achieving it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between September 1996 and March 2004.

The first anime series adaptation, simply titled Yu-Gi-Oh! and produced by Toei Animation, while the second one, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, produced by NAS and animated by Gallop. The series has since spawned its own metaseries. Duel Monsters would be succeeded by Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!. Three films based on this anime series have also been produced: Pyramid of Light (2004), Bonds Beyond Time (2010) and The Dark Side of Dimensions (2016).

Yu-Gi-Oh! has become one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

A lot of Anime back in the 90s and early 2000s were heavily edited for TV broadcast in the international market and some anime are even edited for TV in Japan and it continues to a lesser extent today. I tried to make a list for those like myself who like to research weird, bizarre changes to popular anime series to check them out. A majority of these anime are from the English versions, but some are from other countries. Some anime have a description for some changes that may be less noticeable.

Tropes are common denominators. Their viewers recognize them, laugh at them or groan at them, but most of us can guess where they're coming from—specifically, what cultural values are embodied in the trope.

Unfortunately, some Cliché just don't travel — or age — very well. They're fine on their home turf, where everyone understands them and knows what value system they're based on. When that trope makes the trip to another country, however, it gets seasick on the way over, arriving at port looking distinctly disheveled and finding itself among strangers who have no idea what it's talking about, It probably should not come as a surprise that there can be a fair amount of Values Dissonance when Western audiences watch anything made by Japanese people and intended for a Japanese audience.
