I don't understand why this show has such a low ranking and review score on MAL.

It's not the most epic show ever, but it's an interesting take on a pretty generic concept: the main character who with a tragic past tries to stop warring nations with one applying more nefarious actions to achieve their goals, usually to capture more land and take over more countries. The setting is now in fictional interpreted historical Türkiye and the main character is a Pasha with an eagle counterpart. So as an avid anime watcher it's a good show to relax and watch. Of course many are probably read more

after I watched ten episodes, I was very impressed with the stories and characters that were brought ... a lot of messages, lessons and conspiracies put in this anime ... but, still packed lightly and easily digested

Altaïr is a shonen that made me crave for a while!
Kotono Kato takes us here in a fantastic universe that is reminiscent of the Ottoman Empire and the Mediterranean basin. Mahmut is a young Pasha who will find himself involved in conflicts that could plunge the Türkiye Empire into chaos. It will then be up to him to thwart the most terrible plots. But how do you do when read more

I am just writing this review because the rating is really low for what it actually is. Don't look at the 6.7 overall rating (at this time 15/10/2017) it is actually really good. Gave it a ten, because of the low rating, actual would be an overall 8.1.

The story is inspired by the time of the ottomans. It's though not in the form of depicting real history, but it's own. That's why the nation our MC is born is called (Turqeua/Turkey/Türkiye etc.) and has references to the Turkish names of things like pasha, sultan, bey, divan etc. I would say the author did a good read more
