You have to meet one of two criteria in order to find some value in this anime

1. Have a fetish for netorare, a phenomenon where the viewer is made to feel intense jealousy over a character cheating on their significant other

2. Are desperate for some sweet sweet yuri action regardless of the surrounding circumstances

If you meet neither this is probably the worst anime of the season by a mile. If you meet one or both it becomes tolerable

NTR has some of the best yuri scenes in recent memory. The girls are extremely attractive, one submissive the other domineering, and the two have great chemistry together

The ... level of netorare is tame compared to the extremes usually found in the genre. Turns out two girls banging each other is less emotionally jarring than cheating with someone of the opposite sex - in most cases a mutual friend. Instead we have a naive girl who got into a relationship not really understanding what it meant to date someone, and being pulled away by her best friend who she's probably loved all along. Her biggest fault here is not telling her boyfriend, Takeda, of what was happening behind his back. Not necessarily her swaying feelings itself.

I found the manga to be unbearable because it doesn't go anywhere but the anime at least tries to offer a somewhat of a conclusive ending. It's the better version of the two for sure.

The MAL score and reviews are correct, this is an incredibly trashy anime pandering to the lowest common denominator of hard dicked miscreants in the anime community, but one mans trash can another mans treasure and there's value to be had here if you meet the targeted audience.

The first thing you should know about Netsuzou TRap is that it's absolute trash.

If you still want to stick around, you should also know that it's pandering to the NTR fetish. For the insanely small percentage of anime fans that don't frequent hentai sites, "NTR", or "netorare", is the cuckold genre; some poor guy gets his girl stolen by someone who's usually insufferable.

Except this time, the guy is getting his cute girl stolen by another cute girl, causing me to have conflicting feelings. She's still a bit insufferable (though the story does try to justify her actions by implying she's going through some difficult stuff ... herself), but the yuri scenes are great, and will likely be even better on a future BD release.

The art was pretty bad in the first episode, but improved over time.

Netsuzou TRap regularly frustrates me, and yet I keep watching it, so I think it's doing its job. NTR fans will likely have a better time with it than I am.

If you hate this anime, I know how to make you love this anime... Stop treating this as a show, and begin treating it as a hentai.

If you go into this looking at it as a normal, anime you'll probably find yourself not liking it. The story is uncomfortable, and needs improvement. If they were to revise this it'd be noticeably better. Most, not all, but most characters could use some improvement because it feels like their average.

I suggest watch this alone, and when your in "the" mood. Because I did not feel like the story is all ... that enjoyable.

First of all, why the fuck these girls look like Oregairu's Yukino and Yui, with their personality and boobs swapped. Secondly, the genre mentioned for this anime is Shoujo, which i feel for echhi/hentai lovers will be fantasy.

It was my first time watching an "Bisexual" anime.

First episode was just like "Tutorial : How to Kiss a Girl (for all genders)". The only best thing which i found was duration : 9 minutes ( including OP and Ending). Story has some direction but can't say it's positive or not. Character development wasn't tad bit of focused at all either.

This is only how i can rate this ... anime up to this point. I'll update it later.

I like the fact that this series shows a different kind of "how to handle love" as not every love story is "First and Only Love" or "No Cheating Ever even when sad". Almost like Scum's Wish, this wants to open the eyes to people to not make the error of tagging everyone that cheated into the "horrible people" list as every love has a situation behind and not everyone can have a mutual love with the one they truly love, since sometimes ... a person doesn't understand their feelings and this could lead to a huge amount of possible scenarios (even the "mutual love but not going to stay together" path).

The series has a share of "domestic abuse" too, so make sure you really want to see Netorare and Violence towards a partner.

Netsuzou TRap...Not Too Raunchy?

Netsuzou TRap or -sigh- NTR is by definition try to have it's main yuri love interests of Hotaru Mizushina voiced by Hiromi Igarashi and Yuma Okazaki voiced by Ai Kakuma to do NTR or "netorare" with their respective boyfriends of Fujiwara voiced by Daisuke Ono and Takeda voiced by Ryota Osaka.

Yes for a devoted shoujo ai/yuri fan this anime short elicits the feel of a yuri anime especially of Hotaru's teasing and Yuma's blushing and reactions however the "NTR" feel because of this kind of circumstance this anime short takes kinda ignores all this. It's a more yuri anime short than an ... NTR, which is kinda weird considering the title acronym of this anime short is suppose to evoke this. Maybe the TRap is suppose to mean we're thinking people it's an NTR but really it's a yuri anime instead.

As for the yuri fanservice...it's plentiful though obviously not "showing much" if any besides some forceful kissing, cosplaying and showing some skin, the fanservice is there but not going all the way.

Characters however well yeah it's just those four characters and all four characters have some annoyances. Hotaru's problem is her split personality problem of trying to tease and goad Yuma into their yuri NTR which does have a purpose but if anything it feels like she's padding things out for the finale. Yuma on the other hand just goes with the flow with some to little resistance and completely leaves Takeda out of the loop. Fujiwara is an asshole. Takeda is a clueless, out of the loop useless character to the entire proceedings of the NTR. Fujiwara does stir up things to Yuma and Hotaru's "outings" and is Yuma ultimate obstacle in "saving Hotaru" but both Takeda and Fujiwara as the recipients of the NTR to their respective girlfriends just doesn't evoke it as Fujiwara wants to make things worse and bats the feelings of NTR away because he's an asshole boyfriend and Takeda is useless and hardly gets hit by the NTR because he's NEVER in the situation for him to get the response.

Animation wise, Creators in Pack did meh at it, besides the sloppy coloring of some of the character designs and plain boring backgrounds...it was just "meh".

Voice acting wise...Ai Kakuma easily got LA's favourite voice actor with Hiromi Igarashi doing her best teasing suave vocals. LA can't say much with such a minimal voice cast of only 4 character roles.

Netsuzou TRap if LA can sum it up it's more CFY (Cheating For Yuri) than NTR.

Let's just hope Citrus does better...

My first time watching anything ''NTR'' so I'll be completely honest. I've already read the manga so I kind of knew what will occur yet, it still captivated me.

What I like the most is how they display the mental struggling within the main character, that what distinguish it from a lot of absolute trash anime.

And I truly enjoyed the art. And the funny small bits they always squeeze in.

I know for a certainty if this was the opposite version - YAOI, people would be more into it, cheering up for it, so it irritates me seeing so much hate over stupid things. ... If you want to hate, make it sensible, that's all to it.


This anime obviously will escalate and things will get more interesting and I don't see a reason to not watch it, unless you think it's a disgusting fetish, I mostly enjoyed the mental struggle / the actual issues with each character, not the anime being NTR itself.

Netsuzou Trap is a trashy, voyeuristic yuri romance/drama, so if you want to see two young women in a horrifyingly awful relationship argue, manipulate, cheat, and make out, here you go!

... It's also very short, so it's perfect if you feel like grabbing a large quantity of booze and chocolate, closing the blinds, and having a night to your trashy little self.

Fair warning, there are some very heavy topics in this anime that aren't dealt with very gently.....quite a lot of abusive behavior (up to and including battery). It's nothing telenovelas and day-time soaps haven't already done, but there are moments that are legitimately ugly and gross feeling.

To start this short review off, I'm just gonna say Netsuzou TRap isn't your typical NTR. We can all agree NTR is cancer, but in this anime it was slightly different.
The main character is Yuma, a woman, and (this ain't even a spoiler, you know damn well what anyone who watches this anime is coming here for) she doesn't realize she's totally lesbo for Hotaru (neighbor+childhood friend) till practically the end. Her love interest isn't stolen away like normal NTR dictates either.
The whole anime we're put through some pretty nice character development on Yuma's part. Not "amazing," but done pretty well considering each episode is ... only 8 minutes long. Everyone else is non-existent. I think the main reason why this anime is getting such bad ratings is that:
1) The side-dicks (they're guys, so not side-chicks, get it? eh? eh?) are really awful. Takeda was the the literal definition of "Nice Guy" and Fujiwara was just an ass hole. They were pretty much useless to the yuri story except for slowing down the progress between Yuma and Hotaru. Still get what we want in the end though.
2) People don't understand that finding out you're gay/bi isn't some instantaneous thought process especially in a society where that sort of thing is frowned on most of the time. Luckily this anime has giant time skips so we don't have to go through years of Yuma wondering if she's a gay girl or just jealous.

Story was a 5 since it was just stalling, but still worked out (sort of).
Art was 9 since it's pretty normal for 2017, so it's good.
Sound was 9 for the same reason. I will say the music wasn't memorable though, but the voice actors sounded cute and into it.
Characters was 5 since Yuma was literally the only one that showed any signs of growing and changing.
Enjoyment was a 6 since this anime was pretty realistic with Yuma and her coming to grips that she might actually love another girl. Loved all the teasing Hotaru did too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Overall I give it a 6 since it isn't the best of love stories, even frustrating at some points, but it's okay if you want to see yuri romance with a nice ending.

This series is really really short. Thats probably the best part of it all. You can binge all 12 episodes in probably about two hours. And if this was all condensed into some sort of weird movie, I think it would have worked a whole lot better. Given the abusive relationships aren't suddenly made not squicky to watch by binging all of it. But I do think it helps the momentum quite a bit, and makes the arcs more engaging.

At the heart of this story is a tale of repression of sexuality, and what happens when people come out of the closet under complicated ... circumstances. Or rather, are forced out of it. At least, that's what I think this story is TRYING to do. But it just doesn't really work out that way.

The characters are basically broken down into two sorts of extremes; normal(ish) and toxic(ish). With the two hyper-sexual characters in a highly toxic relationship, and the repressed characters being in a normal relationship. And it is in the representation of these characters that the narrative falls apart. As the hypersexual girl "frees" the normal girl through her sexuality and "love". But this just proves to make the characters miserable until eventually the finale rolls around and everyone is happy. Why? Because. Thats why.

Overall I would reccomend this to someone with a couple hours to kill that is curious if there is such a thing as bad anime that is just wholly bad. (We've all been there in our early days as weebs)

Well this anime was extremely uncomfortable, the story was good and hit close to home with a lot of things. I couldn't possibly recommend this even though I liked it quite a lot. It's in a gray area to me, I liked it because it made me feel something even though it wasn't a warm and fuzzy feeling and that's really all I can ask for in a story. The story is well written just the ick factor of everything has it where I can't casually recommend this to a friend. I think if you like yuri, but are tired of the same hyper happy ... stories and endings this would be a good watch. It's a good thing the episodes are short so it doesn't over stay it's welcome.

Netsuzou TRap is a yuri NTR anime. Yuri meaning it focuses on a homosexual relationship between two females, and NTR being an abbreviation for "netorare" or basically a cuckold relationship.

I haven't read the manga for this series and only heard of this show through popular names in the anime community touting this anime as a possible leader of a "yuri renaissance". Had this anime had full 23 minute episodes and characters with more than 3 emotions, maybe it could've done that, but what has been given to us is nothing close.

First the positives. The show is not terrible. It's not a 2/10 anime, it's not ... a pathetic waste of time, and it's not boring. The drama is alright, the plot exists, and the animation is decent. In the 7 minutes of actual story, there are moments where you may be interested to find out where the plot goes, as well as who knows what secrets, and there are moments where you just have to appreciate you are watching some yuri (come on, we all know that's why most people watch this).

And unfortunately, that's all the "positives" I can come up with. The main problem is that the characters each have only 3 emotions (at most) programmed into them and that REALLY makes it hard to connect with them, and in the little screen time they have, there needs to be some serious connecting going on. Speaking of screen time, I don't watch to many "short" anime, but in a 9 minute long show, how can 2 minutes of that be OP/ED? Why waste that time? The opening theme doesn't fit at all with the tone of the show either. Not sure what the they were thinking when they made that. Another disappointing part of the show is the pacing. In order to move the story along in a quick way, some cuts have to be made. Sadly, what they decided to cut out was all of the segways. It feels like you are watching a YouTube video with bad jumpcuts every time it switches scenes, and that ties back in to lack of personal connection this show offers. It's hard for me to resonante with a character when the scene cuts from two characters sharing a bond, immediately to a conversation at school. It's just odd.

In summary, the show isn't god awful, but it certainly isn't good. The story is choppy and you have to turn your brain off to enjoy it, the art is decent, the OP doesn't fit the show, and the characters are bad, but I'll probably keep watching. 5/10

This one's my fault for not knowing what NTR means...

Every episode left me feeling empty and somehow broken.
But what people don't realise is... that that's exactly what the show intends to do.
Netorare, which is a term for cheating, is practically in the anime's name, and it's no secret that the girls are having some private fun despite having boyfriends.
The actual plot isn't limited to just hiding and "practising". There is more to that. It isn't perfect (after all it's a romance anime) but it is enough to keep you entertained.
As bad representation as it is for a WL, the end will leave you somewhat satisfied. ...
As for music, it's close to perfect. Steady and slow, subtle and tense... suspenseful melodies in those important moments were the key to making the scenes even worse than they were (in a good way).
The art style was very pretty. The girls were gorgeous, the clothes were pretty, the background wasn't just a colour and the important, highlighted scenes were... detailed.
Overall, even though it hurt my head and soul, I was pretty pleased and happy about the show. As for my recommendation...
If you know what NTR is and you fully understand the risks of it, I do recommend it. I think it's a very good piece of dramatic romance sprinkled with some ecchi and unfairness of love relationships.
If you're not a fan of any of those and you want to see only the good and happy stuff... do not watch this. You will suffer more than you'll feel fulfilled.

Cheating from the start.

This anime is a weird one, my goal this season is to watch all anime, except sequels to ones I haven't watched yet, and this is probably the most taxing so far. It's semi interesting, but the plot content has me not sure if I should continue.

Story: It's yuri cheating, no other way to describe it, a girl has a boyfriend and one of her friends starts coming onto her.

Art: Passablle.

Characters: Some depth to them, but it feels like most of the focus is on the two girls, the boyfriends get some depth but don't ... feel like I know them enough.

Enjoyment and overall: if this is your kind of thing you might like it, it's enough to keep my interest, but if I wasn't planning on watching all anime this season, I probably would have given it up I think.

I went into this anime expecting a lesbian ex-arms but was presented with a mix of scums wish and blooming with you. Thr episodes are only 9 minutes long so you can watch it in a day and a certain guy keeps you engaged. It seems a bit low budget but after just finishing booming with you before watching this I can say that this one at least has an ending so you fill more fulfilled at the end. I still think about how an anime with a 9 min runtime wqs able to end quicker than an anime with a 23 min run ... time. Overall just watch it if you want a new guilty pleasure. 6.5/10

Ah, yes, another super controversial drama romance anime. These tend to get a pretty wide array of rankings between users because it fits a bit of a niche. I'll try my best to be reasonable here!

Story & Characters: Netsuzou TRap has us follow around two couples - Yuma & Takeda and Hotaru & Fujiwara - as they go about their school lives, while dating their respective partners. However, we see pretty early on that while away from their respective partners, Hotaru starts to kiss and touch Yuma. Confused, Yuma doesn't know how to react. As the show carries on, we ... start to see more and more of this, without any obvious reason. Hotaru starts to display obvious signs of being romantically interested in Yuma, despite outward saying that she's in love with Fujiwara. Despite all this, Yuma doesn't tell anyone and ends up trying to deal with everything that's happening with her - with each of the three main cast - on her own.

Despite what people may say, I actually don't mind Yuma as a character. We see how Hotaru was bullied at young age and Yuma was always there to defend her friend. Obviously, they've both grown up into different people since, but it's this display that I always love in romantic series (ex: Kashimashi is another series that pulled this off quite well). Despite everything that's happening to her, Yuma decides that she wants to deal with her personal relationships on her own, and for the most part, she does really well. Somewhat parallel to that, her boyfriend, Takeda, is such a nice guy and he constantly props up Yuma.

Hotaru, in stark contrast, is very opposite in that she likes to come off as very different as a person. She wants to keep people guessing and even when you see her in distress later in the series, she does very little to say "hey, I'm in trouble". She just doesn't seem to care. Her attachment to her best friend, Yuma, is a bit weird and honestly isn't the worst thing this series has to offer. However, due to her personality, it obviously bugs many audiences with how it comes off. Fujiwara is pretty opposite to Takeda, in that he's almost a complete sleezeball. His treatment of Hotaru is obviously going to raise some red flags and it gets pretty disturbing at times. However, the one speck of light is that he seems to keep his word.

The story plays out in a very quick fashion. Obviously, this series is twelve episodes with only roughly seven minutes of runtime per episode, so the writing needs to remain within a very compact format. The pacing overall wasn't a huge issue, but there were many areas I would have loved a more thorough explanation. How do our characters feel after X and Y comes to light and how will they deal with it? It feels like there are some questions leftover and even if this series was a touch longer, I would have been more for into it - in part because it feels like it just kind of... ends after the conclusion on an okay note. (Story: 6/10, Characters: 8/10)

Art: I feel like this series was rushed out a bit, because the animation quality seemed really subpart. There were plenty of moments where it was more static movements over animation and the quality dipped multiple times in some of the early to middle episodes. Other times, it just sort of looked okay and never really wowed me. Something I noticed in flashback scenes is that Hotaru and Yuma always stuck out of the scenes because of their hair colours - their classmates often had pale or brown hair in contrast. This was really cool because it emphasized a point that it was all about these two. They also did that at times during present day as well. (5/10)

Sound: The sound was very much nothing special, outside of the OP, Blue Bud Blue. As I watch more and more anime, there are songs that catch my attention and this definitely will get added to my YouTube playlist. It's great, especially that bass line. That's really the only redeeming part of the sound. The Japanese VAs seemed fine for this series as well. (6/10)

Overall Enjoyment: To no one's surprise, Netsuzou TRap has serious problems with its storytelling, theme and overall feel and that will drive audiences bonkers. Those looking for a wholesome romance story will not find it here. What we see here defies a lot of logic, but it's still an okay entry, albeit short, if you know what to expect, somewhat akin to Scum's Wish. (6/10)

You've probably heard that this show romanticises domestic abuse and lesbian sexual harassment; the nicest commentators have called the abused Hotaru's advances to Yuma a 'cycle of abuse'. This depressingly fails to appreciate the unjust social stigmata, and pressure to seek a heterosexual woman's happiness, that pushes gay teens into denial, dishonest relationships and self-hatred. The massive abuse of society pushed the vulnerable Hotaru into her abusive relationships, and her poor expressions of love towards Yuma. Her dubiously-consensual advances, though wrong, inseparably result from her trauma and her love; moreover they lack the threat of violence, fundamental selfishness and hatred of women in themselves that ... are inseparable from abuse of women by men. Yuma's inability to either consent to Hotaru's advances or outright refuse them, when she's really 'cheating' herself by going out with nice-but-dim-Jim in the first place, are a legitimate result of her supressed gayness. Not the disgusting 'women-want-to-be-raped' tropes at play in straight NTR.
I like a happy lesbian rom-com as much as the next person, and Netsuzou doesn't go as deeply into its themes as it should, but it is a genuine account of the pressures and emotional torments that gay teens are put through by a flawed society. The number of people who condemned this show, while failing to condemn series like Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer for the monstrous abuse of women by men that they do irredeemably romanticise is very depressing.

Regarding domestic abuse, the idea that Hotaru is 'letting' Fujiwara hit her is not a legitimisation, but an expression of the self-hatred that really does fuel abuse cases. It is sadly not unrealistic that a toerag like Fujiwara has friends and girls queuing up to be abused by him; girls already abused by societal expectations, even if they're straight. However, it really should have been noted that fear of the abuser plays a much larger role in domestic violence situations. However genuinely, admirably forthright Yuma was in standing up to Fujiwara, someone as sociopathic as he's shown to be would have the power to mess hers and Hotaru's lives up a great deal more than he does. One of this show's biggest flaws is that it isn't as dark as it could be.

Also, a lot of 'kissing interrupted' soap-opera silliness, average animation, and tasteless, poorly-drawn fanservice. Still, this was a seasonal anime, and one with a more genuine, sympathetic romance than many better plotted and more popular shows.

From my understanding and personal experience by reading the other reviews and many comments about this Anime's plot on other services, a lot of people really dislike this anime.

There is plenty of reason to dislike this anime, there are only four real characters and they aren't really developed fully. The interactions between the characters, especially Yuma and Takeda, can seem a little odd. And finally, the morals of Hotaru and Yuma are questionable.However, if the viewer can get past these surface readings and really analyze this anime, several scenes of this anime offer profound and very interesting ideas on what love is, and how lovers ... should interact.

One line from this anime that I cannot get out of my head is when Hotaru asks Yuma "Do you think it's responsible to feed a stray cat?" This kind of profound, morally questioning analogy and dialogue is not what I expected going into this anime. What amazes me most about this response that Hotaru gives is that I have never heard this kind of an analogy be made about a relationship before. What that line, and what Hotaru says afterward, really mean is that a person can not love someone and show them their affection only when it is convenient for them, but must do so always. And if they can't do that, they should not be showing any affection to that person at all. I was so jarred by this interaction because I went into watching this anime believing it was just going to be fanservice and smut, especially since how short the episodes were, but what I got was some very deep and meaningful dialogue that I could use to analyze many other romance genre works - anime, manga, I can even think of a Hollywood TV show I can apply this to.

In conclusion, Netsuzou TRap can very easily be written off as smut and not very meaningful or serious by many people, and is many times written off as such. But if you really pay attention to the dialogue between Yuma and Hotaru I believe you will get something out of watching this anime. I know I have. Also its only like 100 minutes long. Overall, for the average anime viewer, I give it a 6/10, but, honestly, if the anime was just the interactions and dialogue between Yuma and Hotaru this would earn a solid 9/10 in my book.
