Digimon Adventure tri. 4: Soushitsu

There will be spoilers, be advised.

First and foremost, don't watch "Digimon TRI 4: Soushitsu" with any preconceptions of how the episodes will be, don't expect anything whatsoever, otherwise you might end up deeply disappointed.

From the last movies we could already expect that the digimons didn't have any memories from the digidestined, but did they really have to stall for 3 episodes, 75% of the movies, to make the digimons "trust" again their digipartners, thus evolving? The first three episodes will be just that, specially focused on Sora and the word "helpless", (bonus game: drink a shot every time you hear someone calling the other "helpless").

Also, ... Gennai, we could expect that he would be a bad guy - spoilers, if his menacing grin from the last movies didn't give you that feeling -, he is, and not only that he is probably a molester as well, have ninja abilities and some trick with a purple-pinkish collar.

Another of our good old friends is back, Elecmon, nice to see him, but we also have Machinedramon and Metalseadramon, do you remember? Digimon 1? Everyone was afraid of them? Well looks like that even a Rookie - Salamon - is able to cause some effects on a Mega. Yeah, really.

Besides that, mega evolution is so easy now, maybe you'll even get annoyed but how the things turned out on the last episode.

My feeling when I watched all 4 epsiodes was: "what a freaking mental masturbation, did I wait 5 months for that? A minimal progress to the story that could have been solved in one, maybe two episodes, but no, they had to do it in 4"

I disliked it, we don't know what happened with the digidestined from season 2 yet, we don't know what is the relation of hackmon on the story, there are more question than answers and there is not much time left.

The fourth movie of the sequel to our beloved Digimon Adventure franchise sure turned out disappointing.

I don't even think at this point that the creators of this movie have any love for this franchise, this is garbage compared to the original seasons. Let me clarify on something;

Since when has a rookie level Digimon done anything to a higher level Digimon, in the first episode of Digimon Adventure the whole gang used their rookie level moves on a champion level Kuwagamon with barely any results and now some newborn rookie Digimon pulls out a 10 second stun on a mega level Machinedramon with a bark!? At ... this point I'm just dumbfounded, didn't the team do any research on the material they're working on? Then we have Wargreymon smacking Metalseadramon around in the water? Wait what? Gabumon's breathmove damages Metalseadramon's chromedigizoid head with more results than any we've seen before? I could go on but you all get the point, this is beyond ridiculous.

What's with this BDSM molesting Gennai, this is exactly what a major antagonist should not be, who thought this was a remotely good idea? Only thing missing would be Gennai in his oldman form and the whole scene would've been crowned.

As always I do appreciate good fight animations, even though I can't get around the 3 megas needed to beat 1 mega thing.

Soundwise, same old Digimon greatness. The new ending song "keep on" by Ai Maeda is a blast to the past for most oldschool fans and I bet many appreciate it, like I did, amazing song and well done remix.

As for characters I'm still an avid hater of the Mei-Mei duo. To be honest at this point I'm starting to think the only good thing going for Meiko is her stockings.
The relationship between Biyomon and Sora was interesting and probably the best thing in this movie character developmentwise.

As a very big fan of Digimon I had high hopes for this movie after the strong way the third movie ended, but man, was I disappointed, the rest of the Chosen Children pulling mega evolutions left and right without any build up, I can't even fathom what they were thinking. So disappointing.

So here we go...after a long await that is.

Story, since this continues off from the previous movies, I'm basing this off as a "per movie" ideal instead. I've enjoyed how Sora and Piyomon's relation came out in the end so I'd say this bit would be at least an 8 or 8.5, however there was quite the confusion and errors unfortunately making it at least a 6. Especially how Salamon can land a stun (lol). Also there was one moment with Sora with Gennai that made me laugh tremendously but that wasn't entirely necessary at all sadly. So I want to say, story wise, 7 ... in general with some doubts on some parts.

Art, by default in my aspect is 8, and it was very smooth so nonetheless, solid 8.

Sound, also like art, nothing has changed much but fitting to the scenes, so by my standard, a 7.

Character, oh boy. After the introduction from this movie, everything came to piece (except there's still a wonder about the other S2 Digidestined as briefly shown). I gave this a 7 with consideration of Sora and Piyomon's part. However Hime's factor so far, I must say "what did one expect of a reboot?", especially as an adult she is.
Surprisingly, Meiko's change did slightly boost my opinion on her for the better. And I was a bit awed with our stereotypical Taichi and Yamamoto bit with their partners under the sea moment, even with the reboot the bond was still intact, I'd like to give this part an 8. With all these factors, I have to say it was a 7 though.

Enjoyment, I've literally enjoyed this without thinking whatsoever, there was some emotional parts and funny bits, and surprisingly a 180 degree change on the entire franchise name (as a childhood series lol if you know what I mean). I've never regret watching all the parts so far even this one, I've enjoyed it and I did love it a lot. After all, this is what enjoyment means.

Overall, I would say a solid 8 with everything tying in together, and if you're out for the "perfect" title, this isn't the right one but if you're in for the enjoyment as I am, it should be decent and fair enough.

It has been a long wait since the third film of the Digimon Adventure tri. Franchise, Kokuhaku, has aired. As it ended on a cliffhanger, many Digimon fans could not wait to see what would happen next. Unfortunately, Soushitsu, the long-awaited fourth film, does not fulfil all expectations satisfyingly.

At its beginning, the film expands on concepts of the TV series and becomes very emotional while explaining the motives for the actions of a certain character. It manages to build onto loose ends without disturbing the continuity of previous instalments. As great as these few scenes may be, this high quality introduction unfortunately is the climax ... of the film and the following story lacks in comparison.

However, in no way is this supposed to imply the film becomes weak right away. Especially in the first quarter, there are numerous enjoyable character interactions which not only are nostalgic but also funny and charming. In general, the comedy in this film is superior to the others’ and even though the situation the children are in is much more dangerous than it was before, the humour does not feel off at any time. Sadly, the story progresses unfavourably as some events are unnecessary. They seem to only exist for the sake of fan service and while this is not inevitably a bad trait for a film, it does not contribute to anything in this case. Not much else can be said about the story this time as not much happens. Soushitsu’s first half is primarily for character interactions while the second has a few fights and relatively many evolution sequences.

There is a lack of action scenes but the few that do exist are animated massively better than those in the previous films. Due to what occurred in Kokuhaku, we are able to see some child level Digimon action and even though the power levels seem a bit unbelievable and odd at times, the enjoyment makes it absolutely excusable. Moreover, the children are actually fighting as well, but not in an unrealistic manner such as Masaru from Digimon Savers.

Soushitsu is supposed to focus on Sora and Piyomon. However, it does so unsatisfactorily. While it is commendable that the development of other characters is not neglected, Sora’s and Piyomon’s feels forced and out of place. Piyomon does not act like it was before and while it is obvious that it is confused due to the events in the previous film, it does not explain the behaviour towards its partner. Their story concludes tolerably but, at the same time, predictably and generic. Luckily, the other children and Digimon do not suffer from the same issue and are relatable as ever.

Compared to the other tri films, this is the weakest. It was not inherently awful but many events would have been much more satisfactory had they been handled differently – this especially applies to the end. That being said, I did enjoy Soushitsu a lot and even though it did have weaknesses, I do believe that the last two films are able to be of the same quality as the other three again.

I want to preface this briefly talking about my opinion on the last 3 movies leading up to this. This review was written out sort of quick, but I needed to write something about this. There's almost no structure, so excuse the sloppiness.

I've been loving every moment of the new Digimon story presented to me. Despite the flaws in the 1st movie, there were a lot of things I loved and the final battle was satisfying on several levels, so I overlooked the problems, since positives from the overall experience outweighed the negatives. 2nd movie had issues, but the movie I enjoyed the ... most. 3rd movie was just good. I might accidentally continue gushing, so I'll just say I was really excited for the 4th movie to be released.

Maybe all the movies were bad and my nostalgia glasses are just now coming off, but this movie was not fun. I was taken out of this movie on the very first scene, and felt depressed by the time the film finished. I guess I should start with my review, so starting from the beginning

Spoilers Ahead******

Biyomon made no sense. Only digimon to act hostile towards their partner, so the conflict with Sora seemed a little too forced. This attitude isn't consistent with the past, which you could argue resulted from the reboot, but the other 7 digimon are exactly the same.

Sora's personality got nerfed unfortunately, but I guess she shined a little too bright in the original, because she went from badass to boring. I seriously have no idea what's going on with her and Matt (I refuse to call them by their jp names). There was a scene Sora sat by herself all gloomy with Matt and Tai coming out to comfort her at the same time....what? There was pre existing drama here...the movie could've built around a love triangle and it'd make sense on multiple levels, which isn't very original, but better than the biyomon drama we got. I really wish I cared about Sora, but she's far and away the worst in tri, so I can't get invested in 80% of this movie.

This movie's tone is all over the place
I can appreciate going for a more dark overall tone, but it wouldn't fully commit to it. Problem being it takes away from the goofy, lighthearted feeling from the past. Not dark enough and you're "psychotic" characters come as edgy as best. I couldn't help but think of Jared Leto when gennai tried being a villain.

Maybe this is just me nitpickinh a ton.

Epilogue is a massive hate boner I have for that garbage first scene...not necessary to read, but I had to vent this

This opening scene deserves it's own review, and if I ever decide to make a YT channel I will, because nothing about it works. Why was this made made like a silent film? I get the colors, violin, etc are meant to give it a similar feel as a silent film, but why did this even happen? Were the adults digidestined? WTH are they doing there? This looks pretty important, so why hasn't the main cast been told about this? Are the Dark Masters important or just shoehorned into this? This light/dark nonsense sounds like something Nomura would write. Deus Ex Machina to solve conflict and the movie hasn't actually started yet? How are the Dark Masters not just dead? what is even happening right now? This came out of nowhere, no context given, and presented w/o dialogue....Even if this tied to the plot, there are already holes that need to get filled and this is just a confusing mish-mash of nonsense.

The fourth film of the 6 to be issued by Digimon Tri, the previous ones rubzaban the bad, it seemed an unnecessary sequel (And it is), there is nothing really new that has relevance even in its universe, but they were not insulting to the viewer (Which saw Adventure 01 and did not overestimate the latter for being "infancy")
Until this comes ...

Digimon Tri-Soushitsu
Conveniences, Deus Ex Machina, unintentional characters, one-dimensional villains, power scales passed through the ass, evolutions (specifically the Ultimate) no longer means anything ("Oh, yes, I want x stupidity" * Digivolves to the Ultimate stage *), not even It makes sense in his own ... rules that I raise in Adventure 01, it is an insult that this crap even exists.
The only good thing is the animation, even in the music fails, reuse the same song over and over again until it becomes full.

I know Applimon is kinda disappointing, but at least it's not hot garbage like each new Tri "movie". A 20-ish episode story chopped into 6 movies then chopped again into 20-ish minute episodes by some retard at Crunchyroll and it lacks all the pacing and structure necessary to make this project work, as expected.
Let's write a long rambly post about how the 4th installment is equally shit as the other 3.
At this point, if you haven't seen the Tri movies, and are a fan of Digimon, don't watch them. It's not worth the agony of these poorly structured, lazily executed, slowly paced, horribly directed messes ... that try to pull off a large story...separated into parts divided by months at a time.
And there's 2 more left.
I'll go by the 4 part "edit" that Crunchyroll put the 4th movie in to divide up my thoughts. I don't care about spoiling it, I'm basically saving you 2 hours of pain and suffering. If I get anything incorrect as far as the plot goes, I don't care. I'm just going off of memory.
Part 1: Recap the last scenes of the third movie, that shouldn't have been in the third movie. Completely reset the characters of the Digimon, which is fair enough, except now Yoko/Biyomon is a cunt, because it's her turn to get a mega (it's also Patomon's turn, but he got screentime in the third movie, so don't worry about it now) and that means she needs a character arc. If you're wondering how Biyomon being a cunt plays into the larger story, don't worry, there's no larger story, so there's nothing to play into. Plod around for 20 minutes, not much happens. For an episode of a TV, it's bare minimum, for the first act of a movie, it's unbearably slow.
Part 2: Recap the last scene of the first part, great editing, Crunchyroll. Pro tip, don't do this consistently, looks really professionally and definitely doesn't make the first time you do it look retarded /sarcasm. Machindramon was in the show, so when he randomly shows up here, it won't be jarring at all /sarcasm. It also brings up a plot hole...
If that one bitch wanted to reset the Digital World to get back her partner digimon (sacrificed to seal away the Dark Masters before the events of 01) why did she reset the Digital World to a point in time AFTER the Dark Masters were sealed away? Meicoomon broke Machindramon's seal and he berserked around for a bit, so that logically means her digimon is still gone.
Then Machindramon lazer borks all the digi-dorks who get saved by portals and split up, a la the part of 01 when they got split up after Devimon.
Part 3: Portal plot-convenient bullshit has our protags split up, and Sora with Biyomon conveniently find Meiko. Don't forget that Biyomon is still unreasonably, and unexplained-ly a cunt to Sora. Not much development on that front. I'm not sure if this is a plot hole, but...
Izzy shows Agumon and Gomamon pictures of all of them prior to the reset, which he should've done BEFORE Machindramon even shows up because that really fucking validates the humans' story that the digimon were their friends before. Like, it could even make Biyomon less cunt-ish, because there's this proof that they were all partners. Izzy was on his laptop the whole time too, so...what the fuuuuuuuuuck?
Meicoomon eventually shows up or something, I really couldn't care. Meiko and Meicoomon really wear down my patience. She and Meiko have a spat until Meicoomon manages to fuck more shit up when Dark Gennai shows up to reveal the underlying plot.
Dark Gennai wanted that one bitch to reset the Digital World to help him take control of it and probably the real world too, this requires Meikoomon who's some accumulation of anomalies that corrupts the data in the Digital World, originally making digimon who get infected go wild, but now seems to be the key for Dark Gennai to do evil shit. He's gotten control of Machindramon and Megaseadramon, and was the one pretending to be the Digimon Emperor. That only served to misdirect the audience, as the digi-dorks didn't seem to care that one time they saw it in the first or second movie.
Part 4: They all regroup when a portal shows Machinedramon about to blast Sora and Meiko...OH, that reminds me.
Dark Gennai licks Sora on the face for some reason. Like, sensually licks her cheek. It's weird, unnecessary, gross, and totally uncalled for. It doesn't even seem like Dark Gennai is pervy, it just seems like the writers thought this is what an "adult" antagonist would do.
Put simply, it's shitty and awkward.
Agumon and Gabumon deflect a fucking mega's attack like it ain't no shit. Not a plot hole, but pretty inconsistent. I'm honestly tired of recapping at this point, because fuck all happens. It's all pointless, and the last half of the fourth part pads everything with long digivolution animations...even though it skipped Agumon and Gabumon's warp digivolution animations. Like I said, Biyomon and Patomon get their turns at mega. Biyomon after accepting Sora as a partner, quite unrealistically and without much fanfare. And Patomon...because I guess he needs one too. I'm not kidding when I say there's no build up to it. It just happens, and pads out the whole thing with Patomon's entire digivolution line animations.
And then the motherfucker ends in the middle of goddamm scene, in a pathetic attempt at a cliffhanger.
- Conclusion -
These movies are painful, tone deaf, padded out, and insulting to anyone who genuinely enjoyed and appreciates Digimon Adventures. In a pandering attempt to appeal to adult fans of this 20 year old series, some retards took a few decent ideas and ruined it all by making movies, by not properly re-introducing these characters, and by making lazy decisions to drag this shambling plot along to the finish line of hollow promises and wasted potential.
It would be an interesting idea to see the digimon "reset" and these more mature Digi-destined deal with it. It would be cool to finally see the mega digivolutions. It would be great for more mature story beats to be tackled by a Digimon series. But unfortunately, these ideas are beaten into submission by bad direction, piss poor writing, misguided production and planning, and a fanbase that seems all too willing to eat this shit wholesale without a shred of critical thought.

I honestly don’t know what to say by this point. What is this?

The numbskull director can’t possibly be trying at this point. A movie filled with incomprehensible tone, plot contrivances, half-baked plot points, over 50% fluff of a script, a cardboard-cutout villain, the waaay-too-obvious side-attempts at shipping chars, and a laughingly horrendous Sora/Biyomon drama subplot--I could go into detail of course, but then we’d be here for days.

So, instead let me talk about the reunions and gradual re-bondings between the Digidestined and their partners. The one minor aspect that was executed somewhat decently was ... the subtle, different ways each character acted towards their reborn partners and the one-off scenes of their interactions. Emphasis on one-off; as soon as the script started putting more emphasis on particular interactions, things just go downhill. Yes, I’m talking about Biyomon’s strange, uncharacteristic, and TOTALLY-NOT-FOR-THE-CONVENIENCE-OF-THE-PLOT standoffishness, though Taichi--his overexaggerated insecurities about not being able to evolve somehow linking to “things can’t go back to the way they were”--deserve a shout-out too.

See, the peculiar thing about these movies is that, in retrospect, one can look back and reason out all the character development that supposedly happened. “Oh, over time Biyomon came to see how kind and endearing Sora is. See Biyomon giving the girls fruit? That’s her still caring for Sora. She’s starting to care for the annoying girl chasing after her all this time.” But during the movie, any actual sign of character development is absurdly vague and poorly directed. Oh look, Biyomon is now best friends with Sora again! What’s with the one-day 180-degree heel-turn? Oh right, because plot!

Ok, and I just have to say, Sora may be thoughtful enough to bring bento boxes, but wouldn’t you think that she’d be smart enough to pack more than one meal’s worth? Or at least snag some survival supplies in the time it took for her to make all those bentos. Or maybe she did come prepared (a damn heavy bag that’d’ve been then) and the director just didn’t bother to tell us. Typical Tri director. Only giving us the bare minimum of world-building and attention to detail. Typical.

Alrighty here we go!
I've been meaning to write a review for many but this one I HAD to do!

First off, I don't know why the movie is getting so much hate. I actually has more story, and action as compared to the previous ones. The previous three seemed to be an introduction to the characters, where if the audience being linked to were the previous viewers of the series the first movie was enough. Thus, the plot seems very dragged.

Finally in the fourth movie they decide to show the digital world, the characters in their original'we will to anything to protect the world' forms and ... their conscious finally waking up to realize that something is actually very wrong and SPOILER the wrong might be the person you decided to trust in the first 5 seconds.

The new characters are very amusing mind you, but Meiko seems very forced as a character and she has no digimon feels, she looks like a girl they picked out of a typical Japanese anime and put her into digimon. I honestly think that to move the plot along the introduction of just Meicoomon would have been enough. Ans maybe moving the story along a bit faster would also reduce the amount of hate the series is receiving.

This movie actually has a lot of story. I loved the animation for this movie as well. The previous ones looked like a bunch of screenshots compiled with voice overs to make the movie last long enough. We actually get a great deal of action and a good amount of Digimon going on. The fight scenes were good, not amazing but yess they were fun. The interactions of the digidestined amongst each other during the fights were also really good. Like there was a hint of reality of what the reactions of a person would be if they were in such a situation. The 02 kids still being MIA remains a huge disappointment. I hope they don't get 5 minutes at the end but lets see what happens.

Nevertheless, the future looks bright. We have finally started to move along. It looks very obvious that from here on in we have higher chances of better expectations from the OVAs. So looking forward to the next movie very very much. And to all the previous viewers of the original series, you want to watch the movie start by watching the digests of the first and second movie and watch the last episode of the third movie and continue from the fourth complete. Its way better, saves a lot of time, and you don't have to watch repeated scenes amongst various dragged dialogues.

I still love the series no matter what. The characters remain lovable no matter what. New watchers, Watch at your own risk of being bored, because the people actually moving along with the series are only doing so due to immense nostalgia and Toei's trick of making us wait for months before the next part.

Look. At the start of this movie, we are three episodes into this series and the only constants have been bad animation, raising a million questions per film, and not answering any questions. At the very least, the movies before this one had positives like decent character development and some OK action. This movie doesn't. Instead, it doubled down on all those bad aspects.

Animation: The *vast majority* of the movie is static shots or one character moving a little bit per cut. This is not film caliber animation. It's barely TV quality. There is a scene at the end where they have like five minutes ... of b roll digivolutions just to show us a 30 second fight in which none of the Ultimate forms are even spotlighted properly.

Raising Questions: This a fourth movie and they are still introducing us to brand new characters like Hackmon and introducing brand new backstory like Hanekawa's Digimon. And the fact that the Gennai we've seen isn't even the same Gennai from the series. None of this makes sense or has built naturally from previous movies. It's all meaningless if all of this is shown to us without explanations or even reasons why these facts matter.

Not Answering Questions: The *third* movie finally gave us *some* insight into what the overall plot of this series was going to be about. The DigiDestined going to the Digital World to find their Digimon and stop the cause of the Infected Digimon. The Infected Digimon are never mentioned. They find their Digimon immediately. On top of that, none of the new material was properly explained, either. On top of *that*, not much at all happens. They don't even leave the beach and decide what to do for more than the first fourth. On top of THAT, the movie ends IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCENE. There is no sense of purpose or conclusiveness to any of this.

This is the fourth movie in a series. If they couldn't turn those problems around here, they are never going to be able to turn this around. And they didn't. Not only have they produced the worst Digimon tri movie yet, they have produced an insult to all of us who have stuck with the series in spite of its problems.

ENG: the fourth film begins in a very interesting way, showing the past of two of the characters of the plot (good nostalgia see again some classic characters of the original series). The new interactions between digimon and digidestined begin in a good way (because of the consequences of the previous film), but in a short time of duration it seems that everything is perfect (with the exception of two characters), giving a very simple tone in history (everything going on too fast and too easy. It seems like there was a bit of laziness in creating this development). One problem that the production team ... in this movie did was some scenes with 3D animations (they are ugly and very obvious! They stand out a lot when have 2D animations together).The sound is very good, the main story goes without major twists and the action is ok (could be better).

PORT: o quarto filme começa de forma bem interessante, mostrando o passado de dois dos personagens da trama ( boa nostalgia ver de novo alguns personagens clássicos da série original). As novas interações entre digimons e digiescolhidos começam de uma maneira boa (por causa das consequencias do filme anterior), mas em pouco tempo de duração parece que está tudo perfeito ( com exceção de dois personagens), dando um tom bem simples na história ( tudo acontecendo rápido e fácil demais. Parece que houve um pouco de preguiça em criar esse desenvolvimento). Um problema que a equipe de produção desse filme fez foi algumas cenas com animações 3D ( estão feias e muito evidentes! Elas se destacam muito quando estão com as animações em 2D). O som está muito bom, a história principal segue sem grandes reviravoltas e a ação está ok ( poderia ser melhor).

Quick note: Digimon fan since I was 7 years old. I'm 28 years old now and I've watched all Digimon media up to this point and have also played a few Digimon videogames.

This review will be a short one: this is by far the closest movie to the original series and towards the end I just got hit with bomb after bomb of nostalgia.

I honestly didn't give it a 10 because I don't like cliffhangers. Thankfully I can watch the next movie tomorrow but I can't imagine the grief of having to wait 7 months for the next hour and half of content.

I think people hate this one because of the little mistakes it makes along the course of the movie that keep piling up and bothering people which i can totally understand, a child level digimon paralyzing a mega, an adult level digimon getting defeated by a human, evolution animations that take way too long, Koshiro showing their memories way too late in the movie and etc, little mistakes that keep piling and end up making people mad.

Gennai was a mistake imo he wasn't interesting as a villain, a digimon serving ygdrasil would be way better, it was nice to see some of the dark masters ... back tho

As for the good things music and art are always good on Digimon so not much to talk about that, the plot with sora is pretty good biyomon always had a strong personality so it makes sense she being the most skeptic of the group
Maki getting turned down by tapirmon was great, it was kinda funny in some parts like agumon casually going down the river

it was okay overall, i could give it a 6 but i enjoyed it enough to not think badly of it, chapter 3 still is the best movie

oh boy! if we started with mediocrity then now we are at garbage territory. let me start, there's tons of inconsistencies, that while were present previously, here appear everywhere. the story just isn't interesting at all, and the characters who i once could relate, and care for are just gone. instead we get these plain copies who just act like idiots all the time. meiko has been part of the cast for 4 ovas and hasnt done anything!

the music is just the same, there's like one or two new tracks and the rest are just remixes

the fights don't have any choreography behind them, ... something even the previous ovas had was at least an interesting fight. and there's nothing of that here.

What was even the point of the reboot i you're just going to make them recover all their forms without any build up in a freaking minute? also 10 or so minutes of evolution sequences, that good lord gets annoying. i'm so glad this product will end soon. it doesn't deserve to have the digimon title.

Sure, the animation may not be as polished as some of the newer anime out there, and the plot can be a bit predictable at times, but Digimon Adventure tri. 4: Soushitsu is still a fun and engaging watch for fans of the series.

But if I were to attempt it, I might say something along the lines of, 'Well, isn't this just a jolly good blast from the past with its classic characters and nostalgic charm? It's almost enough to make me want to dig up my old Digivice and join the fight against the forces of darkness.'

Overall, I'd give Digimon Adventure tri. 4: Soushitsu a solid 8/10. It may not be perfect, but it's still a worthy addition to the Digimon franchise and a fun watch for fans of the series
