The relationship between the two main characters are pretty similar. If you liked Nezumi and Shion's relationship then you should like Duanmu xi and Yang Jinghua's.

both anime are so alike , it could pass as another season from the series if you love one , you’ll definitely love the other .. although mao do zu shi has a little deeper plot and more exciting adventures

A naive male protagonist and a tsundere-type male protagonist work for an organization that fights evil supernatural beings. A lot of focus on friendship and some added BL subtext.

Two male protagonists with opposing personalities (silly/fun-loving and stoic/tsundere) work together to vanquish evil. Also has themes of freindship and (arguable) BL subtext.

Similar relationships between characters, as well as similar themes of dealing with spirits and action/adventure, plus BL undertones.

Similar fighting evil and supernatural themes, as well as (arguable) BL subtext and master/subordinate dynamic friendship mixed in.

Main Similarities: - Both have major shounen-ai/BL vibes since their original source material is BL. - Both are Chinese animations with a similar art style, though Ling Qi is of a higher quality. - Both feature an mc that is very, very protective of the other mc. - Both feature elements of the supernatural - ghosts, demons etc.

Both are quite humorous with beautiful animation and BL subtext.

Similar plot line with spirits, exorcisms, yokai, etc. Also similar with BL subtext (or more with Ling Qi), as well as master/servant dynamic.

Similar supernatural theme, master/servant dynamic, and BL subtext.

Dead people come back to earth as spirits and get rid of evil. Focus on friendship and contains BL subtext among two partners in evil-fighting.

Similar fighting evil, supernatural, and rage against the machine themes with BL subtext (or more in the case of Ling Qi) and friendship mixed in.

The relationships between Ash Lynx and Eiji Okamura is similar to Ki Tanmoku (Duanmu Xi) and Keika You (Jinghua Yang). Ash Lynx and Ki Tanmoku are both leaders/influential people who have a strong, no nonsense persona. When Eiji Okamura and Keika You enter their lives, Ash Lynx and Ki Tanmoku find that they are letting their guard down and trusting the new person. Side note: The plot of Banana Fish with fighting against "Papa" is more similar to Ling Qi 2 where the characters fight against an organization/powerful person.

- In both stories, the main characters descend from an ancient persona. - We have spirits and characters with supernatural powers. - There is some light action and fighting to protect something/someone. - Part of the drama (if not all) revolves around overcoming the past. - There is romance (although Hiiro no Kakera is shoujo). Overall, the way the story is set is pretty similar.

Some of the supernatural elements and relationships and the shounen-ai feeling of the two series are the same.

It has ancient and supernatural elements to it. The characters are great, the development feels natural, and the plot is entertaining.

They're both gay, okay? Not gonna lie. That's why I'm recommending it.

Both these anime have a contracted master-servant relationship with shounen-ai overtones.

In Ling Qi there is the head of a known exorcist family and in Noragami there is a not so well known god. These two won't work alone and will solve all the problems and fights alone, because they work with a spirit they have chosen. In Ling Qi the spirit is despite his age almost as immature as the young spirit in Noragami. Both anime deals between all the tasks and fighting scenes also about the relationship between those two, the spirit and exorcist/god.

Master/servant dynamics, spirits and people who see them, and mystery, with BL subtext to spice things up.
