I personally sees no point for them to make these special when we have to wait for another episode of Re:zero. Aside from making a comedic like skit. Or prolly the studio's and the voice actor/artist ways of having fun from the overly intense voice acting that was required to do in the series. To either enlighten their mood after voicing those depressing scene in Rezero, but at the same time, giving some comedy to the audience of the related character in the show in a very cute form, or fun looking character designs. Similar to those short Tanaka kun special. Where each episode lasted
pretty fucking short and have no real connection to the actual story. So it's not really necessary to watch this, and if you want to watch the anime with its serious vibes fully intact. I would recommend that you should just avoid watching these funny, comedic skit until you finish the entire episode of Re:zero season 1. But if you're into those kind of things, then go for it. These special and short episodes kinda destroy the overall perception of their character vibes given in the actual series itself. So i personally recommend to not watch this while season 1 of Re:zero is still incomplete.
Well, what can I say. These shorts were pretty nice to watch and somewhat relaxing, but not especially so. Compared to Break Time I find Petit to be a major step up, where the former felt awkward at times trying to mix serious discussion with humor. This is more of a wholly light-hearted experience which throws all out for the sake of comedy. Some may find this detracts from the often grisly nature of the stemming anime but for me it's a welcome breath of cutesy fresh air. If you like dumb cutesy jokes and enjoy the Re:Zero characters then I can definitely recommend this
as something to watch on the side.
