Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan

To the average person, psychic abilities might seem a blessing; for Kusuo Saiki, however, this could not be further from the truth. Gifted with a wide assortment of supernatural abilities ranging from telepathy to x-ray vision, he finds this so-called blessing to be nothing but a curse. As all the inconveniences his powers cause constantly pile up, all Kusuo aims for is an ordinary, hassle-free life—a life where ignorance is bliss.

Unfortunately, the life of a psychic is far from quiet. Though Kusuo tries to stay out of the spotlight by keeping his powers a secret from his classmates, he ends up inadvertently attracting the attention of many odd characters, such as the empty-headed Riki Nendou and the delusional Shun Kaidou. Forced to deal with the craziness of the people around him, Kusuo comes to learn that the ordinary life he has been striving for is a lot more difficult to achieve than expected.

This anime is really enjoyable. While it may not be extremely funny, it is certainly funny enough to keep me entertained. I particularly like the topics and scripts of the episodes. Interestingly, even though it's not a continuously ongoing series, it managed to grip me so much that I always made time to watch it, even when I was very busy.

As I mentioned earlier, I really appreciate the ideas behind the anime—not just for the scenarios but also for the characters. Nendou and Kaidou, in particular, stood out to me as incredibly interesting, and they brought me a lot of laughs. Toritsuka was also hilarious, ... and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him as well.

I also liked how the episodes are divided into short, five-minute segments. I'm not sure why, but this format made it much easier to watch. Maybe it's a psychological thing, but it definitely worked for me.

To sum up, I’m really looking forward to watching the second season. In fact, I’m going to start it as soon as I finish writing this review! I definitely recommend watching this anime. However, I’m not saying it’s the kind of show that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. Rather, it’s gripping, with fascinating characters and intriguing episode scripts that make it a joy to watch.

Mixed Feelings

the only anime to make me laugh out loud. still mourning the loss of Netflix dub not voicing season 2, the dub is what made the whole anime more funny. still a very good anime, one of my comfort shows. Honestly, the enjoyment of the show depends on the person. The show has some very funny characters and I hope that they make a dub for season 2 because that is what made the anime more enjoyable in my opinion. Saiki is a goated character and is the part that makes the series even more enjoyable. The only thing I don't like about the anime ... is that stupid 100 episode where they just said 100 a bunch, it was dumb lowkey. I love also how they break the 4th wall a bunch. anyways good funny anime.

Saiki is an anime about a boy who has psychic powers but despite this awesome gift he is very pessimistic
Story: The story isn't really anything special but this anime doesn't particularly need anything grand as its very episodic and cut up in 5-minute segments.

Art: Pretty awful to be honest. Characters aren't ugly but the animation is so lazy.

Sound: The voice acting was fine, and they have some nice quirky sound effects which can be quite charming

Characters: Saiki is a funny character and is quite relatable in his thinking, however, the surrounding characters are very over the top and can sometimes be funny, but other ... times annoying

Enjoyment: This is just pure fun and something light-heart to put on in the background. The humour was funny at first but after a few hours of watching it became mundane.
