If you're looking for a fast anime to watch then this is for you. The episodes are very short but I grew easily attached to the characters. You can easily relate to the situations in each episode, especially if you are in a relationship. It covers cute and sad events when it comes to love. After watching this anime, I really wanted to get my drawing pad. The artwork is simple yet beautiful. I personally like the style but to others it may be too simple. This is the kind of anime I would rewatch if I'm ever bored or want a sprinkle of romance.

This short anime has made me love it and hate it at the same time.My poor lonely heart can only take so much cuteness and torment from all those couples' interactions...

What would you expect from a 2 minute anime?It's exactly as it sounds.Boyfriend and girlfriend interactions(at the aquarium,at home,while studying and boring stuff that I won't get to do myself anyway.And families interactions with a mother,father and daughter(Daddy stole his kids' favorite candy and another child tells his papa that she loves him).Simple enough of a stab to my decaying soul.

Art is nothing out of ordinary,pretty much like standard shoujo manga(Bokura ga Ita maybe?).Some of ... the time I couldn't differentiate between the character.Most of the time there isn't a background either.

The only music in this is the opening ''Ame no Parade'' and the couples that are in it don't even show up in the anime.It also fits the first better the first episode's theme.Makes me wonder why there's even an opening in such a short anime.

This anime is a bunch of illustrated skits of couples that is really short and would basically waste your time, if you aren't interested in couples and their daily lives. These animated flicks are a real box filled with kittens sent right in front of your doorstep without any note, and unless you don't like surprises or you don't like responsibility over those new tiny liter of kittens, then you won't enjoy this anime.

There is nothing special about this anime, no plot, no character, the art is fine, no fanservice and basically no bullshit, it literally is just some animated flicks of couples goofing around ... and going about their daily lives and their little "cute conflicts". I find it really really heartwarming for some reason, along the lines of "I am so happy for them".

This is an anime you'll definitely waste your time to, unless you're someone like me who enjoys romance and happy endings. And yes, if you're that kind of person who wants to be in a relationship so badly or want to have this kind of relationship with their loved ones, then watching this anime somehow will make you feel jealous because people in a relationship knows that this isn't what happens all the time.

I do enjoy these short animated skits of couples, they make me feel all good inside. And I think it'd be best to just watch them one by one, rushing them altogether will give you a bad experience since you won't be given any plot, and thus will make you feel like you just wasted your time after all.

Simply put, this show is short but sweet. There's not much story as it's just short clips from different couples lives.

They can be cute, sweet, sad or touching with a different feel to each one. Although they're less than 2mins, it'll probably manage to leave you feeling something. What I love is the characters feel very realistic to real people, rather than your typical anime character. The situations are something's that can happen in real life and I felt like I was watching behind the scenes of real life Japanese relationships at some of the best of moments. This makes it relatable for some.. or ... probably for most people - feel envious of the romance and crave to find that special someone so they can experience these special moments in love.

The art is very simple, it's just sketch style, with simple movements and very empty backgrounds. The characters are designed very simply and look more towards real people rather than the anime style, but I like it.
When it comes to sound they only use one them song to soundtrack the whole series a soft tone and relaxing song with cute lyrics and it set the scene well for the anime.

Overall I felt it fell a bit flat, since everything about it seemed quite budget and felt it had alot more potential to be something great. But it was still quirky in it's own way despite this. I enjoyed watching it in the sense it was certainly a nice escape from shoujo anime and just straight into those romantic moments you're just dying to see. So it was a good chance to get my dose of romance I'm always wanting to watch.
I would recommend this to those hopeless romantics, you will be able to appreciate this anime the most!

The score "10/10" always had a simple meaning for me. It was a number strictly relating to the highest calibre of content in every possible aspect one can base it on. I'd find myself not giving X a 10/10 simply because it lacked "idea", lacked production, or was just too normal.

And here I am giving Honobono Log that exact score.

I won't say Honobono Log is now suddenly bad. It isn't. Over the course of the past years, I have actually already switched up my rating ability differently as well. But this anime reminds me, that gems in themselves are their own masterpiece.

Honobono Log doesn't have ... all that wacky crazy stuff major conglomerates can flex for the world to see. It's simple. A simple tale centred around love, in some form or another, can be family, can be romantic. Simple people, like you, like me, like him, like her, like them. That's what makes this anime so damn amazing. This profound wholesomeness, encased in a mere 20 mins overall still explodes with the greatest of content. Only to make your heart sway in doki doki motion.

Sometimes, that's all that's needed in a 10/10. A product, simply amazing at what it tries to bring forward.

Stuff like these gives you anxiety attack, makes you uneasy , makes you question your entire existence. Why was I born? Why am I lonely? Will I ever find love? Is there any meaning in this bitter life?
But stay positive folks. One day we shall have a girlfriend.
About the anime, it's not a connected linear story but episodic stories of couples in their twenties doing couple like things, it's adapted from a picture book not a manga so that was expected. Overall it's wholesome and sweet you will like it if you enjoy short anime but proceed with jurisdiction, you might get PTSD ... from your lonliness.

It's my first time watching an "anime series(?)" with episodes this short, but it's really nice.

Alongside couples in relationships, it also has a few episodes about married couples/how they interact with their kid. No matter whether you are currently in a relationship, have someone you like, got heartbroken, or even married and have kids, there will be an episode where you will feel like you are being personally attacked.

If this was aired on my TV (assuming that it did with the NHK logo in the top right), I'd be instantly feeling much better after watching it since whenever I do watch TV, it's when I ... have nothing to do during the weekends sometimes.

Honobono Log is a celebration of human relationships and how, moment by moment, they change our lives for the better. The series' ten episodes present concise but meaningful interactions between couples, friends, and parents and their children, but there is a clear emphasis on romantic relationships.

HL is episodic and lacks a central story, so no form of continuity exists, and characters never stick around long enough to be developed. For the short time they're shown to us, however, these characters' personalities are likable and believable, and their interactions and chemistry are enjoyable to watch. Rather than hindering the series, HL's unusual super-short format is a ... boon in illustrating the extraordinary joy that can be found within ordinary, passing moments when they're spent with the people you love.

The art of HL is fairly crude and the animation is choppy, but there's not much movement going on anyway. Characters' faces are expressive and emotional, which is what's important in a series so focused on feelings.

To expect life-changing epiphanies from HL would be to miss the point of the series. The keyword here is simplicity. You're unlikely to come away from HL a changed person or experience any extreme emotions upon watching it, but if you learn to enjoy the moment, as the characters in the series do, you'll quickly pick up on the themes of togetherness the series presents and leave with a big grin on your face (and maybe feeling a little bit jealous if you're single like me).

Every single one of the short episodes made me smile and think: 'ah, that's so nice~' and 'everyone should be able to experience such care and love!' Especially episode 9, oh gosh how adorable!

The art is kind of simplistic, but therefor not distracting from the dialogue and the setting. To me, this enhances the everyday feel that it gives, making it easy to connect and sympathize with the characters.

The characters have realistic appearances and personalities. We see good and bad sides of people, and how couples react to them. It made the 10 episodes diverse to see.
The episodes went by so fast, before I knew ... it I had seen them all! I could watch twice the ammount and still enjoy them.

My overall enjoyment watching this series urges me to give Honobono Lob 8/10! Go watch it, it won't take much of your time and will make you smile!

This anime is not for everyone.

I was shocked... 2 minutes, 10 episode anime. What?

If you're having a bad day and you just want to smile, click this short anime and be prepared to have your heart melt in your hands.

This anime is interesting. I have yet to come across an anime that is so addicting and annoying all at the same time. It captivates you and the moment you fall in love, the episode is over.

So it's short, like really damn short which is a major bummer and why it got a lower rating than it should. The art is alright, pretty simple ... and clean. There really is no story, you only follow a few characters' brief moments per episode. The characters are not developed and you only see a glimpse of what their personalities are like, but overall it was a really fun and unique anime to watch.

I really only recommend this to anyone who's having a bad day. It'll really make you smile. Unless you don't have a heart.

Nobody recommended this anime to me. I just saw this uploaded on some anime tracker site and just downloaded it on a whim. "10 episodes, 2 min per episode, nothing could go wrong watching this." I was mistaken.

Story 8/10.
I rated the story by episode since this anime doesn't have a consistent plot. 1 point per episode in a total of 10 episodes. For those who care, the episodes that got points were Episodes 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Episodes 2 and 4 didn't get a point because I thought it lacked oomf. But still great nonetheless. Depends entirely on preference.

Art 9/10.
Clean. ... Sleek. Colors were not that saturated so it gives this cozy vibe while watching. There were some inconsistencies but hey, I could look the other way.

Sound 10/10.
The relaxing, romantic, comic, and sad-ish soundtrack before and after every episode? 10/10 of course .

Character 10/10.
Characters were great. Gave me butterflies in my tummy. Made me sad. Made me happy. Made me want more.

Enjoyment 10/10.
I watched this on a whim. Now i want something similar or a 2nd season or something.

It was almost perfect. In the end the lack of time and episodes were the reason it got 9/10, and maybe because i didn't like episodes 2 and 4, but my point is that it was not enough. Like most people who watched the series, we all want more of this heart warming, soothing, healing series to watch.

It's a lighthearted animated skits taken straight from couples lives, so if you are expecting a story with a plot, please steer clear. Each episode do not connect with one and another, and they last about 2-3 minutes each. Think of this as watching a Youtube video rather than a full length anime, and you will enjoy it a lot more.

This is one of those pieces that makes you warm and happy on a rainy day, full of feels. Throughout the anime, very minimal sound effects are used to aid the story as the voice actors are the ones that carry the movement instead. The ... opening/ending song choice is also a great accompaniment to the simple and clean art style (I'm listening to it as I'm writing this review).

Overall, it makes you appreciate the little things in life just a bit more all for just 20 minutes of your time.

I got nothing else to add. It was adorable, sweet, short, smile worthy and tugs your heart a bit.

So if you want around 30 minutes of cuteness to simply soak in and enjoy, then this is a great choice of an Anime.

If you´re looking for a very quick (20 minutes = all episodes combined, one episode being about 3 minutes long) anime with calm slice of life vibe then Honobono Log is definitely for you!

The art is very simplistic and minimalistic which I liked and it wasn´t bright colored like many other animes. The problem was most of the characters looking the same - not just face-wise, even the hairstyles were similar in most cases!!

The characters were confusing - from what i understand, there were new characters in each episode but many look very similar . If you keep that in mind, though, you´ll enjoy the ... very relatable traits of partners and in some cases families - from happy or sad times. Honobono Log focuses on everyday life and that´s something i admire very much.

There are many moments to relate to - that was the main point I´d say. The stories are nothing much by itself and i would have loved them to be more complex but knowing the point, i see why they made them so short and easy.

Overall it´s nice to watch when you have free time but my critical thinking says that to someone who hasn´t heard of it, it has to be confusing. The characters change and the story does, too with each episode and that´s pretty unneccesary - i would´ve preffered if there were just 2 or 3 storylines, except for 12!

I personally really liked this series although it was very very short. Each episode is only about 2 minutes long which is literally like a mini promo video/ trailer.

Each story was very cute and endearing in its own way - showed me the multiple facets of different kind of relationships. Episode 7 was by far my fav but the other episodes were also very calming and easy to watch.

If you expect some impressive storylines/ drama/ animation, then this anime is not for you. However, if you are looking for something light (and I mean extremely light) with a touch of romance, then you ... should check this piece out.

Wished the animators came up with like sequel with longer stories of each couple though... Kamisama please hear my request hehe.

Anime which took a little over 15 minutes to complete(all 10 eps), puts a huge smile on your face while watching each ep and each pairing. The stories are set in a slice of life situation.
The dialogues used don't feel like your typical anime setting, it feels more like listening to two people just conversing in Japanese language which feels so nice to hear.
No drama or complicated topics, no drama. Just sweet moments shared between people in their ordinary lives.
The animation has a certain charm to it. It feels like watching an Animatic in Youtube. Love it!
I wish there were more eps and more ... such ordinary moments we could see.

Music is also very pleasant and gives a happy feeling when you hear it.

Anyways highly recommended for a relaxing happy watch which doesn't take much time to complete.

I just watched this anime out of whim because I am bored and I needed something cute, something fluffy, that will cure my bored heart because 2020 sucks. Only a few seconds of the first episode, and I am already sold because of the art, music, and how adorable the couples are; it made me want to cry and chase butterflies outside even if it's raining as I write this non-coherent review. There's no actual plot here, just the daily lives of couples and their interactions, and I have no complaints about that; I live for moments like this. The entire time I was watching ... the ten episodes, my smile is wide, it did hurt for a while, but oh boy, it was worth it.

Some of the most tender and romantic moments in life can be super simple and straightforward. No need for grand narratives or spectacular environments, Honobono log is a celebration of these little nuggets of happiness that you or I may stumble across in our lives.

But before going any further I have to ask if you have seen this anime yet. This is not because there are any spoilers or anything like that in my post, but because you most likely could have finished an entire feels-good episode by the time you read through this review. You see, as something that was originally designed to fill ... the white space between programs on NHK TV, Honobono episodes are insanely short at 2 minutes flat. This post is 405 words long, and with a leisurely reading speed of 200 words per minute you'd spend almost exactly 2 min reading till the end.

Uniquely among anime about love, Honobono doesn't cover the initial meeting of the individuals, but the daily interactions people go through within well established relationships. These range from happy little chats while on a date, to a daughter's confusion as her father accidentally eats her candy, to even the silence exchange as a best friend comes to console a girl's recent breakup. 10 episodes cover 10 different pairs of people in their unique heartwarming situations.

As a super low budget production, Honobono's aesthetic stays simple throughout with simple flat character motion and backgrounds. The messages instead are conveyed mostly though the VAs vocal performances and subtle expression changes on the characters faces. This is an interesting reminder of how intricate sakuga or fluid changes in the evironment are not the only ways the anime medium we love can express its core message.

All of this is presented along with the comfiest OP, OST, and ED. As is fitting of the simple nature of this show, all three roles are basically played by [a single mellow song](https://soundcloud.com/re-codes/morning-ame-no-parade-honobono-log-op). The regular lyrical version for the OP, a humming variation for the OST, and an instrumental section for the ED.

So now I hope that I have convinced you to spare a couple minutes or so to check out this anime. Sadly, there have been no International licenses that I know of, but NHK, the owner TV station and studio, have not taken any copyright action towards the complete copies available on Youtube, so please look it up there.

this is a very cute anime, about different couples and small snippets from their lives. It has 0 plot and honestly that made me enjoy it even more. The snippets give this sort of intimacy into the couples' lives and we see different kinds of couples. It's sappy and sweet and makes you want some warmth.
I personally enjoyed the song used for this, it made me feel so bittersweet and just nostalgic almost.
The art was simple and clean and the colours used were so warm, so that really made me feel even more bittersweet.
The characters aren't memorable and we only get named 2 anyways. ... The point of the show clearly isn't for plot or character development, just fluff.
I'd reccommend this to anyone, who wants some fluff and just cute snapshots of couples.
