Shares the same style of silly fantasy parody. What Akazukin Chacha does to fairy tales, Mahoujin Guru Guru does to rpg's. Both have clever nonsense, and exude a very similar feel.

Although Mahoujin Guru Guru was made a long long time ago, it shares the same RPG type comedy with Senyuu as well as the occasional gags. MGG tend to have slightly more serious moments and episode length is longer too. Both animes are very comedic and would make you laugh on every episode. Its worth giving a try - even though the anime is very dated compared to Senyuu.

Both anime follows an unexperienced team that travels around a world that resemble a high fantasy tale, but they are presented as RPG parodies. As expected, they set out on a journey were they meet villagers, listen to magic folk tales and bring weapons and magic to defeat enemies and monsters.

Both take place in a RPG/fantasy world where every inhabitant, from the smallest pawn to the big king, is a complete nutcase. Slapstick humor outweights story progression in both.

Similar type of RPG-like adventures (Mahoujin being a more overt parody of that genre), with supposed trials and bluffs, towers and humour.

The Monster Hunt arc, along with some other episodes which parody JRPGs, is identical to the overall concept of Mahoujin (which is also comedy), with pop-up windows and other genre elements.

Mahoujin Guru Guru also like Druaga is also closely tied to the RPG genre. The first episode of Druaga which is a hilarious parody episode is actually very similar to MGG. I Think if you enjoyed that episode you should definitely look into MGG.

Mahoujin Guru Guru is much more cutesy, but they do have a few things in common. Both are fantasy comedies dripping with silliness and never stay serious for long. Both rely heavily on using magic. Both main characters don't necessarily want the role they are given (the "burden" of being relied on to save the day). If you watch one, it's easy to appreciate the other.

A fantasy world with a greedy hero and a funny party.

Mahoujin is wholly a parody of an RPG which Level E has an arc of. In both animated counterparts of videos games feature, with both utilizing humour in the same sort of teasing manner.
