Very similar stories about exorsists in-training wanting to become stronger.
Both stories use the legend about Abe no Seimei as their core.
Male MCs and female MCs are becoming much closer as the stories progress.
Both stories follow young teenage Onmyouji's who come from societies where onmyou families are important. While the main two characters are essential to the survival of the world, they form a romantic relationship of a kind. Personally I enjoyed Tokyo Ravens more than Sousei no Onmyouji, but if you enjoyed one you should be able to find some merit in the other.
- Stories about Onmyoji's
- The Male MC and Female MC have similar characters (One does not become onmyoji and another is serious about work)
- Interaction between the characters are almost the same
But if you look more for a Shounen series, Sousei is the best. For the other genres (especially romance) Tokyo Ravens is a better choice.
-Both Anime is About Demons and Exorcist.
-Both of the Main Characters are Annoying at first, but they become Useful Later on.
-Similar Fight Seems.
-Both of the Manga that are originally from are Publish by Shounen Jump.
Both series featured exorcism where the main characters fight the demons who tried to destroy the world.
Both series are from Shounen Jump manga.
In the English dub, Bryce Papenbrook voices a main character who dreams of becoming an exorcist and hilariously enough, both of his voice acting role whose first name starts with a letter R. (Rin and Rokuro)
+ Both are action stories with supernatural and comedic elements.
+ They fight and kill monsters in a very similar way to upbeat music.
+ Features a male main character with a tragic past, who is dorky and silly, yet can be serious when necessary.
- both have exorcist like characters
- both exorcism scenes are done with action or fight scenes
- when fight scenes happen they go to some parallel world to prevent damage
- both have monster like creatures that should be prevented from harming humans
- Both are shounens, action, supernatural.
- They present corrupted beings born of the bad feelings of the people and attack humans and should be exorcised (in the case of Sousei by exorcists and Noragami by gods).
- Both protagonists have tragic past in which they had to kill people.
Enmadou Rokuro = Allen Walker
Adashino Benio = Lenalee
-Exorcism and weird looking monsters (some of the monsters are dark skinned humans, idk why that‘s a thing lol)
-Protagonists that have some kind of demon powers
-both have many Eps
Both anime deal with exorcism and both of the protagonists have a cursed arm which allows them to fight. The atmosphere of both series is quite dark for most shounens.
Main difference is that Sousei's protagonist is more hot-headed than D.gray-man's.
-Both are anime where the main character and main heroine travel to a different world to fight monsters
-Both have a 'baby' arc where a mysterious child appears and is the honorary offspring of the hero and heroine
-In both, the main character is OP and rarely looses a fight, usually losing one to learn a lesson and then never losing again
- Guy and girl start as a reluctant team but end up falling in love
- Similar story arcs
- Both have cliche anime tropes
- Not really much else I can say without spoiling but they're very similar in most aspects except for the actual plot (I enjoyed Sousei no Onmyouji a lot more though and it's not hated as much)
We have in Bleach, Shinigamis who "purify" the evil Hollows that hunt down humans.
Well we in this series, Exorcists who exorcise "Evil Spirits", who... hunt down humans, and of course, it's also dimension related(you have Hueco Mundo in Bleach where Hollows live right? Well, let's say it's the same for the Evil Spirits in this case) and later down the road you will realize even more how similar they are, can't tell anymore than this because otherwise I would spoil you.
The series, while having a completely different plot/story than Bleach, has a pretty similar concept. The story altho different, is definitely good, if you liked Bleach, then you will definitely like this. I actualy recomend reading the manga since the anime deviates quite a bit from the original story and quite frankly, it's not as good.
-Both MCs have the power of the thing they are trying to kill (Ichigo has some hollow powers and Rokuro has some kegare powers)
-Each character has there own special power
-Both have worlds sperate from the human world
Both appear to be typical shounen anime at first, but are in fact way darker than most shounen, and are not afraid to kill characters when it makes sense, while still not making the heroes into simple psychotic killers.
Twin Star Exorcists and Mob Psycho 100 are both shows, with a ridiculous team of people who exorcise evil spirits. Each series has some scenes that take place in a school. The protagonist(s) in each series are in middle school. Each show has a family dynamic, in Twin Star Exorcists it is more of a groups of people who basically consider each other family. There is also a ridiculous character, who is the boss of the protagonist(s).
Both anime are adaptations of Shonen Jump manga by Studio Pierrot. The main female character hates the main male character in each how, however do to their situation they have to spend time together. The main female character accidentally catches the main male character doing something perverted. Chuuta in elDLIVE has to join the Space Police force elDLIVE. In Twin Star Exorcists Rokuro and Benio are forced to become exorcists.
- the two of them have a really action story
- the two of them have a fantastic romantic story
- the two of them have a cute couple
- the two of them have a supernatural
i like them i think this anime have to be in the top anime ever :)
D.Gray-man Hallow and Sousei No Omyouji had a same quest to catching a spirits and to becoming a great exorcists and had a same theme shounen. Some Seiyuu for these two anime had a same voice for example Rokuro and Lavi are Voiced by Hanae Natsuki while Benio and Alma Karma are Voiced by Megumi Han also Yuuto and Allen Walker are voiced by Murase Ayumu.
both MC destinated live or do every day thing on the same roof, both dislike each other at first and later they begin like each other Ryuji x Taiga and Roku x Benio Sousei more to action in supernatural toradora more to high schooler problem
They have the same supernatural with some comedy content in it, though U2T tends to be a little bit more serious. Also both main characters are in the business of dealing with supernatural beings that threaten the balance of the universe.
Aside from being under the same genre - action, supernatural and shounen; the two have other notable similarities:
1.) The male and female protagonists on both shows were destined to be husband and wife, also as being agreed upon by their family/superiors; which later on turned into real romance between them.
2.) The male protagonists have the same dream of becoming the strongest - for Yoh to be the Shaman King and for Rokuro to be the strongest exorcist like Abe no Seimei.
3.) As for the female protagonists, Anna and Benio - both are very powerful and very supportive of their partners which makes them very reliable to Yoh and Rokuro during training and actual fights.
4.) The main antagonists are both closely related to the protagonists - Hao being the twin brother of Yoh who have a liking to his partner Anna, and Yuuto being the childhood friend of Rokuro and brother of Benio.
5.) Both are using almost the same terminologies - Shaman King's shamans, spirits, spells and oversoul is somewhat similar to Sousei no Onmyouji's exorcists, shikigamis, talismans and enchanted gear. read more
