One Piece: Adventure of Nebulandia

Story - 5/10

For a special, it has some good stories, but the reason why I rate it 5 is that this the one who wrote this special seemed to not know Devil Fruit users weakness. Rains do not effect DF users so what made this writer thought that fogs would? The pacing is average but it had a plot twist that happened very early that I didn't see it coming from the summary. Also, this special seemed to assume that the watchers don't know anything about the on going series, it annoyed me because it made me feel like I don't read more

This One Piece special was a mistake. I could probably just end my review right there but allow me elaborate. And strap in because I have a lot to say about this poor excuse of a Special.

Foxy is one of those “villains” in One Piece that I wish I could forget ever existed. Despite that, I was willing to give this special a chance because the synopsis caught my attention. I went into this film-length special with the understanding that it was going to be a rematch between Luffy and Foxy, the twist being that this time there would be no devil fruit powers read more

That was actually...pretty good! Went into it expecting more Davy Back Fights and instead walked away with something similar to G8.

Don't get me wrong- the special isn't all that revolutionary or anything, but it was a lot of fun. I'm ecstatic that the under-utilized Strawhats got a huge amount of screen time.

The only con I can think of on top of my head was the animation. Toei decided to cut a few corners by implementing those terrible cgi marines/navy in the background but I'll chalk it up to saving the budget for Film Gold next year (hopefully). While the villain wasn't anything read more

So I finally got around to watching this special and I must admit I was skeptical at first. The Davy Back Fight arc in the anime had to be one of if not my least favorite part of the cannon One Piece story so when I heard Foxy was returning once more I cringed a little. However, all in all this was a pretty solid feature with some signature One Piece comedy and that iconic final fight we get with every new film installment.

The beginning of this movie definitely did not give me the greatest first impression as I found myself pausing many times to read more

Another one piece special episode. To be honest, i expected something more, but still, it was a very good special and i enjoyed it. WAY better than the previous special(episode of sabo)
Keep in mind that this will be a little bit different review that the others i have.
Story 8
The story flaws nice in this special, and there were many things that i didn't expect to happen. Interesting plot and a nice reunion of SH and Foxy pirates. Plus, there are many funny moments.
Art 7
Just a typical animation for the One Piece franchise. The animation is a little bit better than the original read more

With a much popular as series One Piece is, almost annually, we get all sorts of specials episodes, movies, and more, and for the most part, they tend to fall under the same reoccurring reflective plot, that goes as the Straw Hats visit a new island, then befriend the resident, and help defeat the baddies, and that's pretty much it. However, this special in particular has come up with something we don't usually see much anymore in One Piece, an element of storytelling very underrated, that we've only seen from once before, back at the formidable G8 filler arc.
It's that outstanding sense of danger that read more
