Synopsis

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk 2nd Season continues the story of Genestella students Ayato Amagiri and Julis-Alexia von Riessfeld, who have progressed to the next round of the Phoenix Festa after a long and strenuous battle with sisters Irene and Priscilla Urzaiz.

Despite Julis and Ayato's best attempts, the fact that Ayato's powers have been sealed is no longer a secret. Now at a major disadvantage, the duo must come up with a plan if they are to have any hope of winning the Phoenix Festa. Only one thing is for sure: the troubles heading their way are only going to get more insurmountable from here on.

The 2nd season of Asterisk wars was a little better than season 1, had good battles, and good character development for some characters. It was good in a lot of terms, there was a cliffhanger set at the end of the season.

What I particularly liked about this season is some of the fights and the character development.

There are some flashy fights, decent animation, and art style I would say, there are still a lot of mysteries to be solved though.

You can enjoy it if you have seen season1 and understood the whole plot of it.

I give it 6/10.

Mixed Feelings
Unfortunately, this is a disappointing second season to what could have been great. There is so much that could be done with this anime but nothing is done with it, which is a missed opportunity.

The story continues from season one, and unfortunately gets dulled down substantially. The focus is mainly set on the tournament from before and the goals of our characters. This whole season is pretty much just a setup, and nothing else. Certain things happen, but they only happen in order to make the story feel less dull and washed out, which doesn't work.

The characters are who we've known from the first season, ...

After a mostly promising first season, the 2nd season turned out to be one of the most disappointing sequels I've seen. This is the season of the never-ending tournament arc, pointlessly drawn out after starting all the way back in the first season. If you like to see a plot actually progress, avoid this anime. If the tournament stretching on forever wasn't bad enough, the main antagonists being... mechs... fighting against humans in this tournament was beyond mind-bogglingly bad and completely uninteresting. This anime had gobs of potential with a lively fantasy world with a good harem and characters, then decides to spin out, beat ...
