The Kabocha Wine

Only watched the first 7+ episodes, RAW. but i watched enough subbed anime to know this is a slightly-above-average romantic comedy. Shusuke's your slightly shorter-than-average high school boy who meets up with a taller-than-average high school girl Eru. and sparks don't fly immediately with their first meeting. The story takes awhile to develope. The writing is above average, The animation is dated, but still good. the music is a bit generic and the OP reminds me a bit (too much) of the Steel Angel Kurumi OP, but maybe it's me. That's the only knock i have with this series. kinda' like this show, ... and being a guy, i usually stay away from this genre, but still, it's kinda. . .compelling. I'll probably come back and watch it again

Watched only about 95 episodes of this anime like The Kabocha Wine back in 2019 is that this series is basically the original lovely complex which this anime is refer to that's why.


Story
It starts off with the shy teenager by named Shunsuke whose terrified of girls as usual at this point especially when he was basically grown up to his way of how he was surrounded by his sisters and his mother that owned a lingerie shop, it seems that he wanted to make the whole effort is that he was moved to a recent new high school he thought if he could realize that ... if this was a all boys high school so unfortunately it turns out that this high school must be a coed high school establishment but he has been reluctantly that he might been in danger by letting his phobia if he could have figured it out at all means for this point as if it could ruined his school days, but when at this part is where a fellow pupil girl named Natsumi Asaoka she is better known as simply "Eru" herself she is more bigger than he was in the way of this, despite of how this being very kindhearted, tallest, and strongest in her heart she basically falls in love with the short fellow Shunsuke she is her boyfriend which this means he has got himself a girlfriend so even of how it has been gotten to part of how he feels for being run over by a well-meaning bulldozer despite that he wanted to come to appreciate her for finest qualities to this day.



Production
The production is very good although it has the best values for what the writers and episode directors of what this has got to them which is something come to mind.


Animation
The art style animation is good very beautifully well animated especially for this particular series like The Kabocha Wine is that this has the unique art style of what the original manga creator Mitsuru Miura had in common especially for the original manga source material.


Characters
So basically the characters is more got to the attention especially for this series to have a short guy and girl who is taller especially for the characters like Shunsuke and Natsumi although Shunsuke is the shortest guy he is basically the short character and for Natsumi she is the tallest girl especially by her sweetest personality her appearance maybe as a plus size character as of most waifu in general of for unlike every other waifu.


Music
The music is good the music starts of how how it sets to the mood of how it happens in every episode of The Kabocha Wine not very sentimental indeed but it's very more complex depending on how the music is like of how it progresses in each episode.



Overall
This series has its life ways of how there is some romance of how it depicts in each episode of The Kabocha Wine which is basically how it has gotten to this which is very true although this series has its moments if there is something more good for this series which it has capsulated about 95 episodes although this series premiered on Japanese television in Japan on July of 1982 around the same time as Urusei Yatsura maybe because this anime has some of the voice actors and actresses from other anime worked on this series in terms of considered that this is the classic anime series from the 80s during the golden age era of anime but then again this series is very good by far.
