Synopsis

Shuu Tsukiyama is a "ghoul": a creature who eats human flesh, and he likes to enjoy his meals to the fullest. One night, while relishing in the premeditated murder of his dinner, Shuu's much anticipated first bite is disturbed by a sudden flash of light.

The flash turns out to be from the camera of high schooler Chie Hori, who presents Shuu with the perfect picture capturing his true nature; the extremely clear shot of a bloody corpse and an overly excited Shuu threatens to expose his ghoul identity, thus Shuu needs to sort out this situation quickly.

After Shuu discovers that Chie attends the same high school as him and is even in the same class, the reason behind his feelings of obsession changes from self-preservation to morbid curiosity. As he grows closer to the absent-minded and extremely odd photographer, he challenges them both to learn more about each other's conflicting worlds; Shuu promises that Chie will come out of this experience with a photograph superior to the one she already has.

How is it that these side episode managed to be more interesting to me than anything the main series was trying to sell?

The camera girl is instantly compelling as a character, and probably for similar reasons to the creepy gourmet guy you become fascinated with the way she sees the world. It's all just photography and watching things through a lens, which may be a pretty blunt metaphor but it works for this setting. My favorite moment had to be when he was in the process of throwing her out a window to her death and her only reaction was "this would make a cool ...

Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" was 25 minutes of enjoyment. If it was longer then it would have probably got a higher score.
As always, I going to try my best to not give any spoilers.

Story
The Story is nothing special, but it makes sense unlike the story of Tokyo Ghoul Re. it mainly focuses on Tsukiyama, Shuu (a Character that was in Tokyo Ghoul (Season 1), Tokyo Ghoul Root A (Season 2), Tokyo Ghoul Re (Season 3) and Tokyo Ghoul Re second season (Season 4)) school days were we get ...

Mixed Feelings
Pinto is a Tokyo Ghoul OVA about the character known as: 'The Gourmet'. It's about how he met a human girl who he befriended instead of ate. Since the gourmet appears a lot in the first season you can watch this after the first season of Tokyo Ghoul but watching it after the second season makes just as much sense.

Honestly with the story being about the gourmet, arguably one of the most messed up characters in Tokyo Ghoul, I didn't have high hopes for the OVA. Yet while the story wasn't amazing, it also wasn't bad and I do think it's nice that you can ...
