The things that Servamp and Karneval share are:
1. A cast of lovable and quirky characters
2. Bishounen overload~!
3. The main cast all have a close bond with each other and fight together for a common goal.
4. Colorful and crisp art
5. Gorgeous character designs.
6. Smooth and fluid animation.
7. Drama(Karneval is more light hearted but does have it's share of dramatic episodes and character backgrounds)
Overall, Servamp is darker and more violent while Karneval has more comedy and is more lighthearted, however, if you enjoyed one i'm sure you'll enjoy the other too!
Both these shows fall under the Josei genre, with loads of pretty boys whom the fangirls can ship to their heart fills. Both involve two main guys grouped into a duo. All in all, they have a similar aura and josei fans will enjoy the other if they've watched one of them
Kuro and Nai are adorable hybrid animals that have ear-like hair
Both have some creative psychological areas and subtle comedy
Both have two bonding characters: Nai and Gareki, Kuro and Mahiru
A "villain" has some association with the main character
Both are fantasy and Josei
Both have wonderful character designs and personalities
Many characters have dark pasts
Both main characters are carefree and joyful with a lot less enthusiastic partner
Both anime feature vampires, similar atmosphere, similar art, feeling, some crazy characters, comedy and a halloween themed world. Plot is a bit different. But if you like blood lad you will definitely like servant.
Is not that similar, but two main characters made a contract, in Servamp with vampire, in Kuroshitsuji with demon. Dark atmosphere, in both good animation, and in both anime are quite similar two psycho characters Belkia (Servamp, vampire) Grell Sutcliff ( Kuroshitsuji, death god) two of them have long hair and they look alike. Both Bishounen.
The two have some similair details but are executed very differently. I can't say that if you liked one you'll for sure like the other, but it may be interesting to try.
-Main character makes a contract with a supernatural being
-The contract provides the MC with the power they need for a goal
*Kuroshitsuji: Ciel uses it to get revenge
*Servamp: Mahiru wants to protect his friends
-Some intense moments
-Comedic relief throughout series
-MC faces supernatural enemies
*Kuroshitsuji: Angels + Shinigami
*Servamp: Vampires/Servamps + Subclass
Both feature a young-ish boy with a supernatural servant. That connection puts them in danger at times, but the serving monster and the boy develop an odd friendship.
Both are humorous and aim to be dark, and include same seiyuus (Yuki Kaji and Daisuke Ono (appears later in Servamp)). Both have an array of characters who are also monsters.
Sure Servamp and Nanbaka have completely different stories but do indeed share some similarities
- Both anime have interesting characters and character designs
- Both anime have action sequences
- Both anime have some comedy (Nanbaka has way more though)
If you liked either show you should at least give the other a shot
-primarily all-male characters
-at times a gag anime, but grows more emotional and complex further into the series
-focuses on relationships between characters (though, one follows brothers and the other cellmates)
-characters Kuro (Servamp) and Jyugo (Nanbaka) are conflicted and come to terms with themselves [and the things they've done] in the series
The first and most similar thing that both anime share is the close bond and friendship the "masters" have with their "servants" in Noragami's case, the bond the Gods have with their Regalia/Shinki and in Servamp the bond the Eve's have with their Servamps.
Also Servamps can have subs(lesser vampires created by and working for them) and they treat these lesser vampires like their own family, which is another similarity to how some Gods treat their Shinki in Noragami.
Another similarity is that lesser Vampires are created by the Servamps using dead/dying humans, giving them another chance at life similar to how the Regalia/Shinki are souls of dead humans who are given another chance at life by the Gods in Noragami.
For an Eve to form a contract with a Servamp they must give them a name and an item, in Noragami when a God wants to use a soul as their Regalia/Shinki they also have to name them.
Shinki/Regalia take on various alternate forms ranging from weapons, armour, shields, household items, accesories, jewlery, clothes, animals etc. While Servamps have alternate forms too, they are all animals/living things.
A God must have his/her Regalia/Shinki near to be able to fight, while an Eve relies on their Servamp too, they can however battle on their own as well.
Cool Battle scenes that will have you at the edge of your seat.
Overall Noragami has way more comedy(Servamp does have it's short moments of comedy though, i'd say Aragoto is more serious in tone and on par with Servamp in that regard) while the battles in Noragami are pretty much bloodless the battles in Servamp however can be very bloody.
Overall if you liked one you might like the other one as well since they share some very important aspects! read more
Both series feature characters who fight it out with their partners that turn into weapons. Noragami being spirits, and Servamp being vampires. On top of this, both series have an action packed, shonen feel to them and they both have likeable lead characters.
The main character as an orphan in both series.
The difference is that in Stray Dogs, protagonist wields the superpower himself and in Servamp he has kind of a "servant"
Both powers are related to felines (tiger, black cat)
Two organisations with powers opposing each other
Similar sense of humor
Seems like a comedy but has unexpected dark scenes
Servamp reminded me of Bungou Stray Dogs a lot while I was watching it.
The powers that the Servamps have are similar to the gifts in BSD, both within the sense of their creativity and uniqueness (as opposed to simple fire/water manipulation, flying, control of nature etc etc) and the names they have for each person's power
The characters Mahiru and Atsushi felt similar. They're both young, objectively naive and is rather clueless half the time, following a more experienced person around aka Kuro / Dazai
Cool fighting scenes. I'm not experienced enough to comment properly on the quality of animation and transitions of scenes or any of that technical stuff, but it's gripping and badass
A bloody sh*t fest of ships. Many gay ships for your enjoyment read more
Looking for vampires? Well, you found them!
Both of these series involve conflicts with vampires, but in these cases, humans can actually obtain help from a few vampires.
If you like getting shippy, you can also watch these, OnS has a lot more subtle implications though.
This anime is still new but similarities can already be seen. MC fights against demons to try to save his friends but starts to enter their world and learn more of them.
This anime is also comedic, similar art style, there's even a cat companion.
They both have
Supernatural beings ( for example - Vampires / Ghouls )
An organization who is tracking them down and trying to destroy / make peace with (C3 / CCG )
main character who is trying to cope in society despite affiliated with beings not of that world ( Kaneki / Mahiru )
-primarily male characters
-supernatural creatures serving humans
-main character deals with terrible past
-comedic at times, though grows serious as series progresses
-both have VA's Yuki Kaji and Daisuke Ono (a little bit of Ono in Servamp (｡◕‿◕｡)
I chose Book of Circus because relationships are better established by now; it's just a matter of digging deeper, and in Circus, we get more details about Ciel's past. My main character comparisons are between Ciel and Kuro
A bit of an unlikely pair of male protagonists team up to fight supernatural threats and to save the friends of one of the protagonists. The other protagonist is older, and more entrenched in the supernatural world, for they are the ones that brought protagonists #1 into the supernatural world fully. Mix in some action/adventure, friendship, and BL undertones, and you have yourself two very similar anime.
-Both Main Characters get involved or get themselves involved in many situations.
-Both Main villains were a part of the Main heroes if you want to call them, and main villains were dramatized or had unpleased past.
-Both Main Characters try to help anyone to make the situation less dangerous or even if it possible to avoid any hard situations.
-Pretty much cool and interesting stories.
-Borth has surprising moments were Main characters have unexpected powers/effects.
Like in Soul Eater , relationship between 'meister' and 'weapon' or 'eve' and 'servamp' plays big role in plot of the series. If meister/eve don't cooperate well with his/her servamp/weapon it can cause problems or even death of another character. Both main characters of the series live together while increasing knowledge of other also caring more about themselves and their friends adn also going to meet their goal like defeating the main antagonist or 'help becoming his/her weapon a Death Scythe'.
Similar- MC fights with a partner, MC gets stronger over time
Different- Hand Shakers fights for a wish and fighting a lot of people.
Servamp partners are named after the seven deadly sins and are only fighting 1 person with
Fights with vampires.
Hand Shakers has a lighter feel to it then servamp mostly because of the vampires.
This recommendation is in Spanish too.
-The main characters are linked by a contract.
-Both are supernatural.
-Dark atmosphere and a similar humor.
-Many characters in the anime have similar personalities.
-The opening has a similar style.
-Both have a very own art and interesting to see.
Here's some similarities Reborn! and Servamp share.
1. A lovable cast of colorful characters each with their own quirks and personality.
2. Bishounen overload~!
3. Tsuna and Mahiru are both weak in the beginning(Tsuna is more of a wimp though, while Mahiru can be quite brave) but realize what they have to do to become stronger for the sake of of their loved ones!
4. Both the cast of Reborn and Servamp have a close bond with each other and their friendship gives them strenght.
5. Licht and Hibari have almost the same personality(tough, cool, violent, quiet, keeps getting up and kicking butt no matter how wounded they get etc.) and even their appearence is very similar!
6. Also Licht's Servamp's animal form is a hedgehog while Hibari's box weapon is a hedgehog named Roll!
Overall, if you liked one i'm sure you'll like the other, though Servamp is more serious and violent than Reborn, they have some things in common. read more
1.They both have a bunch of guys with powers who fight.
2.I feel like they both are not too heavy but still maintain a good plot.
I preferred Kekkai Sensen but when I was watching it I was definitely reminded of Servamp.
My favourite thing about both anime is how they both have a super happy ending song :).
- Both about vampire world setting
- Both have similiar battle scene
- Both about human-vampire relation conflict
- Naively straightforward MC that don't like complicated conflict
- Yuichiro x Mikaela relation similiar to Kuro x Mahiru
