Recommendations

Both Potraits the usage of Magic/Alchemy and the consequences of its usage/misusage, resulting in creaton of Homonculus in FMA and Demons in Strait Jacket with their own story and setting.

Blood, violence, monsters and potential monster- monster hunters. While i was watching strait jacket, i felt like watching Claymore all over again. Straith Jackets remind me of Claymores. They share the same atmosphere.

There are similar character behaviors and personalities along with a similar depressive, serious atmosphere overall. Additionally, the sci-fi-ish, science gone wrong backdrop is present. Besides the general plot being different: Strait Jacket is far more gory and Ao no 6-gou has a greater color scheme.

Strait Jacket and Tokkou share a somewhat similar theme of special units killing disgusting creatures which seem to have a love for dismembering people in a very bloody fashion. Both also have a dark atmosphere, but Tokkou has a bit more hope. Lots of fighting, blood, gore, and dismemberment... and decent stories/plot also.

The first two episodes and the last few of Ga-Rei are VERY similar to Straight Jacket. Both government sponsored and outlaw groups fighting demons that used to be human. Ga-Rei, however, has significantly more light-hearted-ness to it in the middle episodes.

Strait Jacket and Advanced Police have similar plots dealing with special units killing evil -disgusting creature things that like to rip people apart. Both share a dark atmosphere where also no matter what the good guys do, someone will get hurt. Also the end result of a couple characters is very similar. Strait Jacket is more gory and Advanced Police is ever so slightly more hopeful.

Both series are set in worlds similar to those of industrial revolution. Both series acknowledge existence of magic as form of science. Main protagonist is part of organisation fighting against supernatural threats. Both worlds are quite grim/dark. Animation is also similar. Design of demons feels similar. Strait jacket feels more like military anime where D-Gray Man feels more magic based. And unfortunately Strait Jacket is only 3 episodes long so story ends with many questions unanswered, although it is quite selfcontained triplet of stories.

Both series are set in worlds similar to those of industrial revolution. In both world exist magic/alchemy as a form of science. Main protagonists fight against supernatural threats under militaristic organisations. Protagonists are troubled by complicated pasts. World of Strait Jacket is without comedy and feels darker than that of Fullmetal Alchemist.

People who turn into disturbing creatures that need to be destroyed, and one man who risks his life to save others with little thought for reward or recognition. Other than that, not especially similar except in tone.

Strait Jacket and Sin: The Movie are both OVA series that contain professionals who kill horrfying mutants. They are both extremely violent.

They're both very gory and involve quite abit of fighting. Strait Jacket is better though.

When I was watching it, the killing style reminded me of Elfen Lied. I think if you watch one, you'll love the other.

Two action-packed, supernatural anime OVAs from the mid-2000s, which could have been even stronger with more episodes. Their protagonists have tragic backstories that leads them to fight for humanity. They are cool characters and cool can do a lot to save a series. If you accept their underdeveloped stories then you might enjoy the gripping fighting sequences.

Both have the same violence level with a lot of mutilation, murder and blood, but without nudity. The graphs from are both very similar and very elaborated.

In both anime, the main protagonist has access to an armor/suit allowing them to fight against evil powerful monsters. Both anime feature people turned into monsters by technology and research. They are also both action-packed anime filled with violence, blood and gore. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Similar feeling because, if the users with the super power/magic have weak mental health or abusing the power to much, then they are turning into "demonics" or demons, which are similar. Both have pretty much gore and action too.

Every time I saw the Sorcerists in their armor, it reminded me of Jin-Roh. Two action flicks, although Jin-Roh has a slightly better story and is much more gut-wrenching. Would recommend either.
