This anime will probably never get a 3rd season since it has done so poorly but besides all that its a decent enough series it def isnt as good as the first season and part of that reason is because of the entire nina and chris dynamic which really takes the series from like an 8 to a 6.
If you've watched season one you know how great the ending was i've grown to appreciate it more over the years but it was really good it defintely didn't need a second season in my eyes but they gave it a second season so like most

Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis was a fun, vibrant, swashbuckling adventure in such a clusterfuck setting. To quote Tolkien's "On Fairy Stories", it's a Secondary World that does not inspire Secondary Belief. But it works for the kind of story Genesis attempted. Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul attempts to expound on that simple narrative with a far more ambitious story, one that is set up to fail in the light of the world built in Genesis. The established world simply does not hold up to scrutiny once a more serious narrative repeatedly brings forth its glaring flaws.
Virgin Soul is set 10 years after the events of ... Nov 14, 2018
(This review has been adapted from my blog/reddit thread. Spoilers ahead!)
Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul turns the phrase “a helping hand” into a reality with Rita and the literal one she keeps at her side. Granted, it’s technically Kaizer’s, but he’s a happy, helpful little guy regardless. As for Virgin Soul itself, it could have also used a helping hand. For, while certain parts receive a thumbs up, earning two (let alone three) thumbs up is sadly not in its palm reading. STORY The first season of Shingeki no Bahamut (subtitled Genesis) surprised pretty much everyone when it first landed on the community’s lap back in Fall ... Aug 5, 2019
If Genesis was a pretty good good old fashion action-adventure fantasy story, then virgin souls is a train wreck of a story a 14 year old teenager wrote after reading twilight. SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY BELOW
Virgin souls features many past characters, and this is one of the ONLY good points of the story. These characters were already well fleshed out in the previous story, and they serve as a crutch to make sure the story makes any sense at all, and also heavily supports the "character development" of the new characters. I would also like to point out that although most of the reoccurring characters are pretty ... Sep 12, 2017
After I watched all episodes of the anime I might update this review but after finishing episode 21 I'm disappointed. I liked the first season it wasn't an outstanding anime but it was fine. The second season isn't.
I'll start with the positive stuff. The art is good and I like the music, which is epic. Sadly the epic sounding songs or should I call it song is often repeated, the other music doesn't really stand out that much. I'm not a big fan of openings and endings in general so I can't give an unbiased rating of those but I wouldn't want to ... Oct 15, 2017
I finished this a while ago and still have anger and regret, so here's a review
Short hand: If you liked the first season, join the likely growing number of people who will pretend this doesn't exist. This contains spoilers, which are crucial, due to the ending of the show affecting it's most important characters. Story: 3 Genesis told a standard, regular fantasy story and did a good job with it. Angels and demons live with humans and a 3rd party will kill them all, but is sealed...but now it's gonna wake up etc. etc. What made it great was that it took everything in stride and either went ... I understand I watched seldom little, but the point is that within 5 episodes, you already know that the writers failed to write something that'll take another 19 episodes to finish.
Foremost, the obvious plot issues like a normal girl who can heave multi-ton cargoes to the amazement of her peer humans, but doesn't somehow attract the attention of nobles and warriors or accusations of being a demon herself. Following this, they use her asking about a mural to explain back history, with this information being obviously common knowledge for the setting. It's like an adult asking about that yellow circle being the sun and the ... Apr 25, 2020
Not spoilers at all, just feeling to make it short everything I have to say.
If you get to the Post Final Climax, wishing for this series to end here, and let your beloved retire in peace, after all the bat@$ crazy things that happened, something's very wrong. Some people didn't like the change of protagonist, but Nina is a nice girl overall, and has a exquisite situation that makes me believe that if this wasn't a Bahamutt thing, it could've been better, maybe if they simply have made a straight Spin-Off, where some fan service with recurring characters would be totally welcome, and some things were ... So... I've wanted to watch this anime for a while. I know absolutely nothing about the franchise, and didn't watch the first season, Genesis, BUT, I'm a sucker for anything with Umehara Yuichiro in the main cast.
Let me first say that for fulfilling my reasons for watching, this anime 100% did not disappoint. There's a good amount of Charioce being a cold and calculating bastard who makes S statements in that gorgeous voice, and... well... However, this anime is just one giant cliche wrapping up a whole lot of other cliches and going for a walk for 24 episodes. The art and sound is decent, ... Jun 7, 2019
I just cannot understand why this show is rated as good as it is.
Afer watching shingeki no bahamut:genisis i was kinda hyped for the next season. It wasn't anything really really great but i enjoyed it quite a lot. I think the first season left a lot of room for character develpment and i thought we would really get to know more about the main characters that i personally liked quite a bit. But then this happend. For the first few episodes i was still hoping that the sory around the new main character was some kind of arc just like what series like bungou ... |
