-Main character dressing up like a male, therefore they're being mistaken as a male by everyone instead of a female
-Main character ends up in a host club, damaging some of their belongings, therefore they're forced to join the main character's team
-Both give off VERY similar vibes
-Both involve stunning, attractive characters
-Both male lead in both anime's personality is very similar: Cocky, get lots of ladies, popular
The similarity between these 2 anime are the situation the female lead are place into, which is being forced into a club by the male lead to repay for the damages of expensive items they broke as well the female leads being mistaken as a guy by the male lead and is forced to maintain the opposite sex to repay the debt.
That being said, the difference are that in Ouran the female lead does not care if her sex is mistaken, While in Aoharu x kik shes mindful of being mistaken. Also, the club they are force into are different as well. In both anime, they are a host club at start but in Aoharu x kikanjuu she was force to join a Survival game team and the male lead refuses to allow girls in but mistaken the female sex due to her appearance and action. While in Ouran it was an actual host club, but did not allow any female to be the host because it's against the rule.
So if you enjoy Ouran Koukou, you'll surely enjoy Aoharu read more
Judging by the first episode, the whole first episodes were soo similar to each other. In both anime there is a girl (looking like a guy and actually mistaken for one) involved with blondie boy working as host. The girl makes some things broken there and is forced to pay for it yet it's so much that she has to pay for it by joining them. Also the characters are really similar. Even by the appearance. Both comedy. Similar vibes.
Practically the same premise except one has guns in it the other one doesn't :D try to guess which on of them is which (hint hint, it's in the title) Have fun watching both since both of them a blast :)
If you watched OHSHC, then your mind will instantly snap a connection!
The protagonists are highschool girls dressed as boys and accidentally made a commitment with "host club"; That cause them to be part of a team. Cute, yet strong-willed cross-dressers in what they believe in. These series are comedic with highly attractive bishounens as well.
Haruhi Fujioka, the poor scholarship student, enrolls to a rich academy, and joins the host club, unwillingly, because 'he' broke an expensive vase. Unless her debt is paid off, she will have to be a host until then. OHSHC leans more to the shoujo/romance genre.
On the other side, Hotaru Tachibana, hates evil in general. Hotaru misunderstands a situation and proceeds to confront a host club. Hotaru commits to a bet, ruins an expensive workplace, and have no choice, but to join the team. Aoharu x Kikanjuu is more to action side so far. read more
A female main character is often mistaken for a guy, she only reinforces these misunderstandings by dressing as a male. In order to pay for the damages she caused to an elitist host club, she is forced to join (the host club in Ouran, survival game club in Aoharu).
The host club itself is an important set piece for the story and it's led by a charismatic and cocky man, who takes interest in the girl MC.
The humor in both series comes mainly from the girl being thrown into a male-only group.
The first episodes of both shows follow a similar plot line. A girl disguised as a boy goes into a host club and breaks expensive things. The blond outgoing host invites the girl to join the activity they need them for, but they are male inclusive only activities. And so each story begins. Honestly Ouran had a better execution of the whole oweing a host concept, but both shows are still enjoyable.
In both anime:
- Both anime have a very similar feel to them, and I enjoyed them both for very similar reasons. Both anime have the same kind of atmosphere to them. If you liked one you should definitely try the other!
- They both have plenty of good quality comedy, and similar sorts things are funny in both anime (for instance, both have a lot of humor centering around a girl getting mistaken for a boy).
- Both anime have some very emotional moments.
-The main character is a girl who most people mistake for a boy. Both main characters are uninterested in girly things and prefer boys clothes etc. They have a lot in common and if you like one you'll probably like the other.
- The main character becomes in debt to a host club, and because of this is forced to join a group run by the clubs top host to pay off the debt.
- If you like Tamaki you will like the male lead from Aoharu x Kikanjuu. they're both: the number one host in the club where they work, handsome, blond, a bit vain, a bit dumb, very enthusiastic, a flirt and very likable.
- In both anime the main character has to hide the fact they're a girl in order to stay in their group (in Ouran High School Host Club the host club, and in Aoharu x Kikanjuu the survival game team). There's lot's of comedy about this in both anime.
- Both anime have brilliant characters, both individually and as a combination. The characters just go so well together! In both anime the relationships between the characters are very important and moving, as well as funny. read more
Girl Protagonist, mistaken as a guy, is forced to join a certain "club" and has to act as the opposite gender. Reason being is that she needs to repay the damages she had caused at the host club that belongs to the guy protagonist.
-In both anime, the protagonists wa forced into doing what they think is stupid and weird, but they eventually likes the job as they partcipated.
- Everyone thinks that the protagonist was a boy, though the protagonist was a girl. (Yeah, yeah -.,-)
-The anime type was different~ one was an action/ gun stuff, when the other one was basically guys and girls in a host club, how girls fall for the charm of the hosts. -.-"
( I don't know if Aoharu x Kikanjuu will turn out to be al ovey- dovey anime or not, since it's ongoing and only 3 episodes'out.)
A cliche(but not really) story about a short-haired girl with a boyish attire, which cause him to be mistaken as a male. Because of this, Matsuoka Masamune, a host, made the main character, Tachibana Hotaru, join his team alliance called the "Toy ☆ Gun Gun Team." It's a "survival game", a real-life game wherein the players uses guns(bullets are fake). you will surely like Hotaru because of her strong sense of justice. Join her adventure as she gather courage to reveal that she's really a girl to her teamates.
-Girl who is mistaken as a guy for a MC
-MC is forced to join the guys group in OHSHC it is because a vase was broken but in this the MC lost a survival game gun fight to the host and had to join their SG team
Both of these anime's will have you laughing and wanting more, the only thing I wish was recognized in Aoharu was the MC actually being a female in the anime, it might in the manga but I never read it.
It's not exactly like Ouran, seeing how it's not a reverse harem, nor is its comedy as good. But here are a few similarities I found:
# Male MC works in a host club
# MC is a reverse trap
# MC is forced to 'work' for male MC after she breaks expensive stuff, in order to pay off her debt.
# Male MC is blond, attractive and a ladies' man.
"How is Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) similar to Aoharu x Kikanjuu?"
If we're talking about action here, both mc know the word BLOOD LUST!!!!
I mean duh everyone know the word blood lust BUT I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT IT LITERALLY, LIKE YOU'LL FEEL THE SAME INTENSITY WHEN YOU WATCH EITHER MCs
The biggest resemblance between these two animes is the fact that they both focus on Survival Games. They both also have a lot of comedic content and otaku reference characters. Sabagebu is far more light-hearted and made just for jokes and sarcasm though, while Aoharu has more of a story line about friendship and trials and could almost be a RomCom--but very light with the romance.
A group of people are part of the Survival Games club. They enter the Air-soft tournament to showcase their skills. Both has comedy and similar art styles. One deals with a group of girls. The other only men.
A club dedicated to a survival game involving air soft guns is where both protagonists unintentionally end up where they start to fall in love and become obsessed with the game along with the comradery of their fellow club members. Aoharu x Kikanjuu has a more serious tone while Sabagebu is more comedic.
# Both MCs are reverse traps
# Both are adept at physical fights
# Forced to dress up as boys in order to fight their way to the top
# MCs are surrounded by beautiful boys
# Their companions don't know they're fighting alongside girls
# Bromance between MC and her male companions
# One of the male MCs fall for the 'male' MC (huehuehuehue)
# MCs aren't annoying, stupid, weepy or need constant saving (like most female MCs in anime)
Both MCs are really good at something ( AxK survival game, YP cycling) without even realizing it. They meet good friends/teammates, which helps bring out the potential in them, which makes them strive to be the best they can be in order to thank their friends in return.
Although there are differences in the genres between these two anime, but there is a similar thing happened in the life of the main characters.
Hotaru Tachibana, the protagonist of Aoharu x Kikanjuu who never knew survival games before. However, after being introduced to the game and got invited to join a survival game team, she becomes obsessed about it. Then, Sakamichi Onoda, the protagonist of Yowamushi Pedal who at first wasn't interested in bicycle racing. But because a particular sequence of events, he was asked to join the high school cycling club. Later on, his team won the Inter High competition.
So in short, thanks to the unexpected invitations, they've found something to fight for. read more
-Main character being epic : As in, both are extremely strong
-Main characters are school president council
-Main characters have very similar attitudes: Believe in justice must be served
-Main character will do anything to protect others if they were hurt by evil
-Main character picks a fight with the other main male lead and ended up being forced to obey their orders sorta
-Main male lead is EXTREMELY hot and is popular with women
-Main male lead are very similar personality
-Both involve school life as well
If you like one, you'd definitely love the other. Both very beautiful drawings and stunning characters
The main character is part of the student council. She takes her job seriously and lets no one bring her down. They have a secret that no one knows. The main love interests finds out about their secret. Thus her life changes. One has comedy and romance. While the other a mix of comedy and air-soft battles
While watching Aoharu x Kikanjuu I found that Haru and Matsuoka are extremely similar with there backrounds and personality.
There isn't to much romance however you can feel the same raw romance an love vibe you get from Haru loving Ren.
If you love strong characters you'll love Hotaru,a girl often mistaken for a boy who is quite alot stronger than any guy in her school not to mention she can pack a punch if you get her mad.
While watching this I was reminded of super lovers so try them both out!
Aoharu x Kikanjuu may have a completely different setting to Knight's & Magic, but that doesn't stop it from sharing a fun and energetic atmosphere, thanks to the similar main characters.
Both main characters look fairly adrogynous and are often mistaken for the opposite sex. In Knight's & Magic it isn't an important part of the storyline, but in Aoharu x Kikanjuu it is essential. However, the main similarities they share are aspects of each other's personalities. They aren't exactly the same - due to not being an overly-used archetype - but they both possess a bubbly determination and a sometimes-freakishly-positive outlook on life. Their bloodlust isn't to be messed with either. If you like one, you'll almost certainly like the other. read more
Nisekoi actually features a character (rather major, but not the main.) who everyone mistakens for a boy due to her appearance. Coincidentally both are voiced by Mikako Komatsu herself. Both are high-trained in combat.
Both have characters, who are friendly like Nagisa or Tachibana, but they are both crazy and dangerous, when they really start.
And both character (Tachibana and Nagisa) are mistaken by their gender.
Naturally in both series its about "Killing"
How these anime are similar:
~ Action! Aoharu x Kikanjuu is all about gunfights, while Arcana Famiglia was all about diffrent fighting styles. Still awesome though!!!
~ Has 2 guys (Aoharu x Kikanjuu) and more (Arcana Famiglie) guys following a girl around.
~
The main character from Aoharu x Kikanjuu is a girl who dresses like a guy, so it's sweet to watch the relationship grow without them knowing she's a girl.
~ Both female main characters are string and don't rely on others. They can do things on their own.
~ The guys from the anime both have an obvious attraction (in my opinion) towards the main character.
~ Genre: Comedy, Attraction between the guys and girl, Slice of Life (somewhat). read more
1 girl & a lot of competitive guys in the same team
Main MC girl is hyperactive/strong/competitive or something like that...
OP songs - fangasm level...
One is about survival games and another is about stride/freerun/parkour mix?
A group of people are part of the Survival Games club. They enter the Air-soft tournament to showcase their skills. One deals with a group of girls and some supernatural phenomenon. The other only men and bromance.
While Kemono no Souja is more serious and of different genres, both have female protagonists who aren't afraid to show both femininity and masculinity, are strong in their own ways, and are proud of being theirselves in all that that entails. I highly recommend this to people who enjoy well-written females protagonists.
While Moribito is more serious and of different genres, both have female protagonists who are physically strong, aren't afraid to show both femininity and masculinity, hold their own against enemies and male teammates, and are proud of being theirselves in all that that entails. I highly recommend this to people who enjoy strong, and well-written, females protagonists.
In both anime there's confusion about the gender of the main character: Izumi (Love Stage) is confused for a girl, while Hotaru (Aoharu x Kikanjuu) is confused for a boy
Furthermore, the design of the main characters is quite similar (they look quite alike)
keep in mind that Love Stage is a shounnen-ai and Aoharu not
-Very strong main character lead who knows how to fight
-Both main character believes in justice very strongly
-Both main character are actually the opposite gender of what they appear to be, therefore being mistaken all the time
-Both main MALE lead ends up in a fight with the main character
-Both main male lead ends up being interested in the main character and sticks by their side
-Both main male lead is extremely strong as well who knows how to fight
-Both very interesting animes
