This was aired before I was born and, to me, was one of the masterpieces of the 80's. I can't expect people to hold high expectation for it nowadays though... I watched it around age 6 and, just today, the name Antoinette and the memorable tune of the old days popped up in my mind. I still remember how much I enjoyed and was moved by this show when I watched it again at age 7.

Story: 7/10
I think the story was still innovative around the time it was made - a female android who develops emotion and holds the key to world destruction.

Probably the most impressive thing about this is the cover artwork. And it's mostly all downhill from there.

Kind of a weird story -- it seems like there is a much larger story that is yearning to be told, but we can only get a 45-minute window of it. There's a conflict that crosses the stars, a rudimentary love story, android jealousy, ancient ruins hiding planet-busting technology, an evil governor, a brilliant scientist and his lovely granddaughter. It seems like there were the inklings of a possible strong story in all of this, but instead we end up with read more

This is an unusual anime. It doesn't say much, doesn't explain much and only hints at some things. Despite having dramatic moments in it, it feels strangely peaceful. Also, it is 80s anime, meaning the style is quite different from what is expected today. Regarding visuals, it is one of the beautiful 1980s animes, very well drawn.

I'd recommend to check it out if you have the opportunity. Detailed breakdown below.

Story:
IT is a sort of a exposition/glimps of the world in the anime. As I said, this anime doesn't really explain anything, just presents series of the events one after another. IN the end it all read more

The music's good and the animation is good.
The complete lack of character and the complete go-nowhere ending is either a total trainwreck or a brilliant, nihilistic reflection on the lack of meaning in love, life and death.
Not long enough to elicit any negative reactions but the barebones storytelling doesn't exactly give any enjoyment either.

Everything below is fluff:
Why is there a minimum word limit? Brevity is king. I hate myself when I overwrite, it's a really simple, forty minute 80s OVA that is perfectly middling. I guess the music is cool. I said that already. "All in all this is an OVA that is worth read more
